Thirteen was probably one of the best characters they've ever developed on this show. Foreman and Chase are cool, but Thirteen just...really hit it out of the park.

Apparently the real Olivia Wilde is also manipulative, based on the insane amounts of controversy on her new movie, lol. Oh well, at least all the press got the movie to open at #1 at box office. It was really good btw. The critics are way off on this one.

The end of this episode when House tells 13 he'll kill her is the weirdest and most sincere moment of this show. It's such a heartbreaker.
I hope he kept his promise. It would be easy, legally speaking and spare her girlfriend from doing time.

Don't u think the Dr that House cheated on a test from, subsequently ratting House out got under his skin? Then years later House crashes his promotional lecture in disguise trying to prove his migraine pill doesn't work. There are a few more but I'm guessing u mean something different by getting under his skin or does this example also apply?
@@lusikazaryan9401 I mean more like "getting the last word." When House picks a fight, he almost always has some sort of logical/ethical beef and we see that House is always right in the end. With Harold, House doesn't have a comeback quip, no mic drop moments.
Don't forget his fun argument with the teen girl who couldn't feel pain. (She had complete CIPA.)

She's way too smart to be such a woke sh-thead, it's more like disappointment. Something is really eating at her conscience and she thinks that being a bleeding-heart Leftist will wipe away her sins. It's common in Hollywood, where they screw each other over all the time, but she should know that it doesn't work. Anyone with a high IQ who pretends to believe that drivel is working an angle.

The scene where House offers to kill her when the time comes was one of the most powerful moments in the whole series.
You can't give us the 13 x House supercut we've all been waiting for and then miss out the heart breaking yet beautiful ending of this episode.
I have notice we get everything but the ending of the episodes. Really pretty annoying.

I always loved this episode it really builds on the connection that House and Thirteen had and not just as Employer and employee, I just wished he had more moments like this with Chase and given but he became House's successor in the end
I thought that was Foreman? Not like they don't tease and buildup how Foreman "is becoming like House" and how much that bothers him. Although I do agree that I wish House and Chase had more personal moments.

@@ThePa1riot No, I think they seemed much more like friends put together in a situation than employees. If not friends, who would actually put up with House's craziness and not be in H.R. all the time? Even with the chance to work with a legit genius.
House and Thirteen's friendship had the potential for further development, a reunion of both of them would have been an interesting plot for season 9. They were both chaotic and interesting enough to make it worth watching.
Her wokeness will not allowed... that wouldn't be a problem as long as she doesn't gratuitously attack great dead actors.

The relationship House and Thirteen had was just incredible. To me this episode was the best in the entire series. It showed the foundation of the much deeper connection they had and the respect for each other. The bond they created on that journey was really something else. Both were willing to bend and cross the moral limits. The entire cast of Hosue MD was top notch but i miss House and Thirteen the most.
I like to think, after Wilson dies, House checks in on 13 periodically so he can uphold his end of his promise to her at the end of the episode
The thing I loved most about the House character is that he had a brutal potato shooting feud with a college student.
I swear the color pallette of the show determines which of the eight seasons we're in. More dull as we go along. Starting all glowed up and bright.
Season eight may as well have been monochrome.
House and 13 have such great chemistry. This entire scene broke me. Olivia is such a great actress. The moment she spoke of euthanizing her brother felt so genuine not like acting at all. The response seemed so real💔

Give it some time. Before you know it, you can watch the series with some of the same enthusiasm as you did before. Just try not to watch clips or anything associated with the show for awhile. Hope this helps bud.

This is one of my favourite episodes. Seeing house outside the hospital and doing his own thing is so entertaining, especially when he drags others into it.
I could have watched a whole spinoff with House and Thirteen traveling and doing this sort of stuff.
They'd need to take WIlson along to keep them from getting arrested or killed.
I don't care that the end of that series would likely be House having to sit with each of them as the died; interactions like that are so... delicious that it'd be worth it.

Interesting relationship here between 13 and House. When he tells her that until recently he was Cuddys "wierd boyfriend" and she laughs because she thinks he's joking, then realizes he's not, she first responds by asking him if he''s ok, then either as a way of distracting him or because she realizes he's hurting over the breakup, she throws him a bone about her reason for absence. Then she's joyfully reminicing about being a child and lets slip that she had a sibling, which House pounces on and proceeds to kill her moment of happiness, by deducing she euthanized her brother. He must have known it would hurt her (as he'd just mantioned about her crying in the middle of the night) but he still couldn't resist 'solving that puzzle'.
“I didn’t know you were a Jehovah’s Witness” is one of the best in this series.

Two of the best characters on the series 'going at it' with dialog. Wonderful writing.
This brings up the promise House later makes her, to do the same for her when the time comes. A promise we never know if he can/will keep, since faking his death to stay out of jail to spend time with Wilson. When Wilson dies, House would have to come clean and go to jail for even longer for faking his own death and may still be inside when her Huntington's fully kicks in.
Good point. Not that I care for after what she did (s*ually assaulting a man because he was not her accomplice without a minimum regard for his health) but maybe, since he is dead, he will be able to visit her without being noticed.

The House - Thirteen dynamic is one of the more underrated on the show. I'd say right below House-Wilson and House-Cuddy.
Also the line "not that much" followed by Olivia's look, is just hilarious.

13 is the real House successor.
In the 70's and 80's you could get into grad school for law or medicine with a criminal background. This episode throws dignity and ethics out the window.
I loved the episodes that were about House’s weird hobbies, such as the teenage book writer. They were my favourite.

Where are they getting their schedule 80 PVC? It’s normally rated for much higher pressures than 220psi. You can get by with schedule 40 for some pipe sizes at that pressure.
The combustion chamber was 4”. That size is rated for 220.

Thirteen as a character will always have a special place in my heart

SPOILER ALERT:
Just like Thirteen has Huntington’s and it will eventually kill her, her brother had Huntington’s as well, except his advanced much quicker than Thirteen’s. When she took leave off of work from House’s team to become his full time caretaker (the team thought she was pursuing an experimental treatment for herself), her brother asked Thirteen to kill him before the disease took all of his ability to think and speak. Thirteen killed her brother out of mercy by prescribing him excessive medication and the courts recognized it as a mercy killing so she only got 6 months in jail. The man Thirteen kicked in the groin was another doctor who had initially helped her plan a humane overdose for her brother, but the other doctor got scared and ratted Thirteen out, which is how she ended up getting arrested by the police for her brother’s death in the first place. At the end of the episode, House says that when Thirteen’s Huntington’s disease gets to end-stage he’ll happily kill her humanely, like she did for her brother.
I love all the characters from house but the relationship between house and thirteen was just amazing, so much potential.

You don't ever want to make a potato gun out of PVC. It will work great until it doesn't. And then bad things happen.
Just like Tom Cruise and Shia LaBeouf, I have problems with Olivia Wilde in terms of her real life stuff but she is great in her performance as 13. Although out the 3 actors, Cruise has far more respect from me (which is surprising).

Park was pretty cool too, Amber was a favorite of mine too. Thirteen was the best female role because no one could read her and she was smart. Both Chase and Forman were mini versions of House so they were great.

you guys have not seen what liquid oxygen can do to anything remotely flammable have you, it can make a piece of wood burn like nitroglycerine, just think what it can do to nitroglycerine, the only trick is making a cannon that can sustain that extreme pressure, 2 layers of thick steel with some rebar welded to the inside can usually handle that, with such a mixture ur potato will fly at mach speeds, also making ur combustion chamber a sphere rather than a cylinder will help, a lot

One of the best episodes of the whole show
Kind of hindsight but this really showcases Olivia's acting: 11:18, she told a lie about "us" by looking away from House for a second ... usually a tell for a lie, and she did it quite convincingly. Though she can hold a poker face for a truth-or-dare game with Wilson, she can't veil her discomfort when talking about anything relating to her euthanized brother.
