Come on, Ryan. You should know better. The Pete Crow-Armstrong trade was a winner for the Mets.
Javier Báez was great for the Mets in 2022. In 47 games he batted .299 with 9 HR, 5 SB, 22 RBI and an OPS of .886.
Trevor Williams was also good for Mets. In 2021 Williams had an ERA of 3.06. In 2022 he was invaluable to the Mets as a long reliever and a spot starter. He posted an ERA of 3.21 that year
Meanwhile, what is Pete Crow-Armstrong besides a guy with three names? He isn't even a starter and with good reason. He's hitting .192 with 1 HR and an OPS of .520. Three years after that trade his career stats are .174 BA, 1 HR, and a .486 OPS.
True, he's a good defensive center fielder, but so are a lot of guys, including Bader.
The notion that the Mets got beat on that trade (and I hear it everywhere) is a misnomer.
To answer your question: NO. I wouldn't want Pete Crow-Armstrong patrolling the outfield for the Mets.

Acuña to manage 2B with Iglesias..5-Give more respect (Mendoza) to Mark Vientos (After JD Martínez the best "clutch hitter" Mets has) defensively. @4:30 you ask why make it more dicey? The entire bullpen is DICEY! A starter is a starter because he is a better pitcher. In all other positions they upgrade the defense later in the game. The Pitcher is the MOST IMPORTANT defensive position and yet, as the games goes on the position gets increasingly depreciated and often at the most critical moment they have the guy on the lowest wrung. Peterson should NOT have been taken out when he was! He easily could have gone another inning. Also, relievers have to go 2 innings so that the dregs at the bottom of the barrel are not in games at critical ju8nctures. Baseball has gone from dumb to stupid in how they use pitchers.

So, as much as you want to prioritize the future, you have to consider the present. There is great importance given to the relief corps during the season but it is even greater if they reach the playoffs; you definitely must consider the present and immediate future if you’re considering a sustainable team through time; it is a much better calling card for signing Free Agents (Soto, for example) that may put you over the top.
