I like this version. Windu comes over as a little more understanding and compassionate and less hostile, but also more of a realist. Also shows a little more about the closeness of Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship. I especially liked the line "Don't we all have some of the Dark Side around us?". Yes, that's the thing that people don't understand. The 'Dark Side' as I see it was not some outside force that only "weak" or "stupid" people fell prey to. We all have some measure of darkness within us, and we can all fall prey to it through our choices and decisions. Even those made for good reasons.
This is exactly what Palpatine was counting on. He knew that the Jedi couldn’t, or, more likely, wouldn’t comprehend the idea of someone, like Palpatine, wanting more. They thought that being Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic would be enough for him. They underestimated Palpatine’s ambition and lust for power. Therefore, Palpatine could scheme to take over the Galaxy and no one would be the wiser.
