There’s a post from 2004 or something when touch screen phones were coming out of a guy saying that they were a complete joke, a dead on arrival concept and not worth investing in at all.
I think about that post a lot whenever something like crypto or NFTs comes about as no one wants to be the guy who could have invested in the next big thing and just missed out, and because you don’t know what that next big thing is, you’re willing to buy into anything to try it out just in case.
That’s not to defend NFTs, they were a scam from the beginning but it is to defend the psychology of people who buy into these concepts as they really believe they could be at the forefront of some new movement and don’t want to miss out.
