This is the first time something on the internet has actually horrified me... Everyone involved, including the twitch chat, should fundamentally rethink their life decisions.
They should be in jail. There’s no way people like this, including chat, have not committed crimes in the past. I get the feeling most of these people are the kind to commit arson or vandalism regularly or even some basic theft. All of these people seem like reprehensible people.
If you're expecting empathy, common sense or logic from a Twitch chat I got some bad news for ya.

I don't think you get it. Irl streaming can range from wholesome to the most deranged people you've seen. Onlyusemeblade has always cultivated a terrible audience. I mean look at the SA situation. They tune in just to see this guy in a downward spiral. They suck as bad as him. The people calling for blade to take accountability are probably just people who generally enjoy irl content who heard about someone in their community.

As someone that doesn't drink alcohol I've seen what it does to people and I can tell you right away that I've prevented accidents, fights, destruction of expensive objects such as cars and probably even death on many different parties where I'm the only one sober
It's depressing to see someone pass away from such a stupid reason just cause no one was drinking responsibly

Thank you for your service, so to speak. I don’t know how you do it, because even being the only tipsy one among really drunk people is not fun. Seeing drunk people totally sober is jarring. I will admit that I like to drink too often but I don’t like to get _drunk._ I like a nice buzz, maybe 3 drinks total. Sometimes 6 or 7 if it’s a party but I’m an ace at avoiding a hangover. They are not worth it (especially the older you get) and blacking or passing out is terrifying as a woman. I rarely go to bars or clubs, just drink with other musicians which can be... interesting, for sure.
My last ex had a drinking problem. He would be fun for a good while, then get self-pitying, then irritable, and riiiight before bed he would snap at me and become verbally abusive for the most absurd reasons. Because of my past trauma (that he was acutely aware of), his aggression caused me flashbacks and I’d be frozen in a fetal position rest of the night. I didn’t think I would ever let someone treat me that way again, I’m definitely a fool. I think I’m quite understanding, maybe a bit too forgiving, and always willing to work with a partner on any issues. I’ve dealt with substance abuse myself - I’m a recovering addict, doing good progress. So I’m not gonna judge. But you CAN’T take your shit out on me, period. This didn’t last years, fwiw, just some months, but I still should’ve left sooner.
TL;DR Alcohol doesn’t make people shitty, just brings out the extremes - the best and definitely the worst - in some people. Smoke weed, ig.

We are biologically identical and have the same average IQ as the humans several thousand years ago that fought each other in gladiator combat as a sport to entertain the masses. I'm not really surprised by this behavior.
@@99mage99 we dont have the same average iq and we arent biologically identical, every 100 years or so (basically every 2 generations) our species has changed quite drastically from a scientific perspective. what hasnt changed much is our social structures. ever since the first settlements our methods of socialising has been pretty consistent and its partly because of biology and partly because of our intelligence etc but overall its basically a situation where we have always suffered from a few social failings that will sadly stay with us for the foreseeable future as the benefits of these flaws biologically outweighs the cons. herd mentality, social apathy, vicarious living and hero worship, these things allowed us to become as advanced as we are today but sadly they come with some pretty major downsides.

On a real note, do not get high/drunk with friends like these. Have someone, or be the friend, who knows basic first aid. Keep some narcan/noloxone accessible if you partake in that, most places you can get a kit for free from a pharmacy. Keep an eye out for each other and know when someone’s gone too far.

It's absolutely depressing how many times I've seen this kind of situation pan out, where a little too much alcohol or drug mixing goes too far and everyone is too far up their own ass to care about someone passing out or acting weird. I can't express how important it is to have trustworthy *friends*, not random strangers. Even high schoolers smoking weed and drinking, because they always will, need to understand that true friendship is quite literally life or death in these situations. It's not that uncommon to drink too much, pass out, throw up and drown in your own vomit, and if no one cares or even realizes the possibility that it's happening, you're dead.
If anyone is so drunk they are passing out, it's time to call an ambulance and DO NOT give them more alcohol. A real friend cares about you, a "friend" only cares about having "fun"

I will never understand how horrible it is to only be funny when your constantly drunk when that shit can send you to a grave. I blame the streamers and the viewers/ donos for that to happen
many comedians suffer from this same vice, its not that they arent entertaining when theyre sober its that at first without the alcohol theyre too anxious to properly entertain, then they become addicted and no matter how little anxiety they have theyre too depressed without the alcohol to entertain... then it spirals into the old fans leaving and the new fans being there to just watch a person self destruct and the "entertainment" value for them isnt that old comedy or personality, theyre entertained by watching someone suffer and fall from grace. its a horrible self fulfilling spiral that is the reason many comedians and entertainers take their lives. we as the audience love to see people we like succeed sure... but we love to see people we dislike fail more so. its the horrible nature of modern entertainment, the viewers live vicariously through the entertainer and once the entertainer is all used up they feel slighted and treat them as if they betrayed the viewers trust. then all thats left is people watching out of morbid curiosity.

i remember a similar situation happened with minx and her "buddies" (malena) in a party on stream where they were just forcing her to drink while aware of her alcoholism. they were doing it worse because they were mixing pills with alcohol which could've been lethal. thankfully, there were sane people looking over her. the chat was good too. esfand was the one to block malena from pouring drinks into minx. schlatt looked extremely uncomfortable. the worst part is, there was a guy who called esfand a "simp" just for doing that, which is absurd. and malena called esfand a turn off. horrible.

Dying in a house full of people is a nightmare I still have regularly as a recovered addict. It’s genuinely one of the scariest things ever in my opinion, and I’ve seen it happen before. These people weren’t fucked up beyond belief, or beyond getting him help. They should be held liable for their negligence.
my grandpa fell when I was 5 and because of that I never got the chance to know him. He lost the ability to speak and is often confused. I don't know how people can be so careless about a friend's health. Hearing them be so casual about him falling almost made me cry. That shit is so foul. Even if he survived, you don't want to have to see a loved one turn into a shell of themselves because they got blood in their brain... Just the fall alone could have killed or ruined him forever, forget the heart medication and alcohol. They filmed him falling, didn't try to catch him. The girlfriend doesnt seem bothered at all when he fell... IRL streamers are truly some of the worst people.
Sometimes when I'm near curbs or uneven flooring I will walk really close to my loved ones in case I need to catch them. I'll see a curb and I will remember how easy everything can go wrong. It's haunting.

That wouldn't be considered murder though. Murder is planning and killing someone directly. They encouraged him to drink and stay up, but he still drank and stayed up on his own accord. I'm not a lawyer so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I think if anything, they'd be charged with wrongful death caused by negligence. They could get charged with involuntary manslaughter but that I highly doubt. Also don't think I'm defending them by any means. But that's not murder.

Assuming this took place in Washington state, they could easily be charged with Manslaughter in the first or second degree; Both are felonies with sentences of 6-23 years and 2-12 years respectively.

Honestly streaming services need to start cracking down on this type of thing. Not only are those creators guilty of, at minimum, negligent homicide, for seeing someone clearly in need of medical help and exacerbating the issue, but the chatters who do nothing but throw money at these people to watch them suffer need to log off the internet for good. This kind of content isn't entertainment, it's paid cruelty, and it's only going to cost more and more lives unless IRL streams get regulated.

Stories like these are honestly why the idea of like, being a live streamer or content creator is just so off-putting nowadays. It's no longer about having fun or doing what you want. Now, you have to appeal to your audience just to stay relevant, and unfortunately, a lot of audiences like this are downright psychopathic. Its insane that people cheer this kind of behavior on and just laugh at someone literally dying.
Sad part is that the new nature of content creation/streaming is probably what encourages those public nuisances you see. You know the ones, the ones who harass people in public, basically commit crimes *on camera,* and generally just be terrible people for clout.

When I was at student accommodation, things were crazy. But even they had the brains to message me to come pick my roommate up after they had a few too many drinks. (I was the awkwardly introverted "responsible" one). Then there was the other roommate, where I had to hold their head over the sink because they drank way too much and were a pushover. Yep, fun times... Do kind of miss them though. :P

Addictions are very dangerous thing especially if combined with ADHD. A large number of deep spectrum adhd folks end up in an alcoholism gutter or as full blown junkies. I’m struggling with alcoholism myself and as I’m not there yet, I feel that without any help I’ll be reaching rock bottom. So guys, don’t ignore your adhd, medications can save your life. i had the same thing where in the og MW2, i joined a match on terminal and got killed from the other side of the map by a guy dual wielding model 1887's. when he killed me (through like, 12 walls btw) i instantly unlocked every single thing in the game and was promoted to top level top prestige. i basically stopped playing after that cus it just felt completely meaningless
