You should really make a loud outdoor/festival speaker!
Mongi Banana someone has already all you need is a lipo capable of outputting 12v and a pair of speakers or build some speakers with car audio drivers pretty cheap way to get a loud outdoor speaker
battery life is the only real problem. But yea :)
or if you want something small but loud, lets say jbl xtreme which i have - its 40w rms from battery its maybe 40w maybe 35w people do say that its louder when adapter plugged in, sounds loud and plenty for me outside for portable speaker, battery lasts 5 hours full volume but price is out of space - 250 dollars.... for that i could take 12v 7A scooter battery hook up amplifier made with tda1562q chip 55w rms at 14.4v and 1% THD but it would take a whole backpack :)
and the drivers can come with tweeters pre-installed as well and if you wanted more bass you could get a second Bluetooth module or get a 4 speaker module that has enough hookups for a sub or 2 to be put in as well i mean you could put in 2 shallow-mount subs in to get a really nice richness in bass as well as the mids and highs in the speaker too.
Just use cheap horns and woofers from parts express
It's a Class D amplifier, the output fets aren't going to put very much heat out unless its driven into clipping.
The heatsinks are fine. :)
Fun fact, a 120 Watt amplifier will only be twice as loud as a 12 watt amplifier, and in such a small room even a 5 watt amp on an efficient set of speakers will crush your hearing.
No offence but I'd need to hear in-person proof before I'd believe that. I have 2,600 watts total for my in-bedroom "home theater" and its rips my face off when turned past 25%. If your interested in the system, it is currently torn apart for me moving houses but if you want I'll post some finished pics on my G+ once put back together.
James Landess it's just basic physics, really. you need 10x the power to achieve a 6db increase to output.
you need to double the power for plus 3db actually
I‘ve a 3w Amplifier and my 8 inch technics are just rediciulous.
I dont know how that 3 Watt Amplifier can be so loud
Justin Davis Actually, if the speakers are efficient with 90 DB@ 1meter on 1 watt. Increasing that by 3 DB requires twice the power. so 93 is 2 watts. 93 to 96 is 4 etc. So from 12 to 120 watts would be about 10 extra Decibels.
For portability these amps run very nicely on a 6 cell Lithium Polymer battery (22.2V rated) and will run a long time on an average capacity one say around 4000mA/h (4A/H) for a 3 to 4 hours of use at reasonably high output levels. A lot longer at more moderate output.
could you put some cardboard or something under the amp? seeing a bare PCB sitting on the carpet makes me cringe. and l am sure l am not the only one.
Electronics For Fun you're not the only one
Nothing will happen.. The carpet cannot conduct power resulting into a short circuit or something
Cyprian Cyprian Static tho
I’m not cringing my ass off
@@randomdiy6717 yes it can, I have seen it happen.
4:56 haah, i was like WTF
I am deaf now can't listen to your videos anymore
this video is a bass test on my subwoofer
ikr?..
thebiohzaerd Bamleon Lol bass test on my Bluetooth speaker lol
4:56 i hear this every night At 12 am when cars pass by
Have built multiple bluetooth speakers with this amp now and it is absolutely mental, I totally agree with you!
I didn't even think that little thing could even drive those speakers at any reasonable level. Then when it started playing, I just laughed my ass off. Seriously, it's amusing to see something so small blasting those speakers. I'm probably gonna get one now after seeing this
Your neighbours must really love you!
Ikr
Has nothing to do with power, PA speakers have excellent sensitivity compared to others which is why they are 'loud' if they are around 105dB at 1watt at 1 meter then it will be loud
4:58 R.I.P microphone
😆
Digital amps are the future and they even sound better,
I got a couple of these amps a couple of months ago. Perfect for my tiny flat. Completely unreasonable for my neighbours. Lovely low volume audio quality for a D class amp. Booming in K&C London
sheesh bro, have you been stalking me, I've got exactly the same ebay mini amp, and the same sweep/test app. The only difference is that my amp only took 3 weeks to get here, Cheers for the great vids!
TheBigO K lol
I'm not surprised. I'm running my PA system off of SMSL SA98E and the Peavey IPR1600 are redundant in my flat. Unless I really want bass but my landlord's girlfriend can hear it over the road anyway.
That's killer bro, such a little amp for huge speakers!! killer man!!
That moment when a cheap 10$ amplifier from ebay is almost as good as a stack system. Just for points, I use to drive 4x 18's from 2 of these alongside 24 1.5" drivers back at my old school when the main amps bust, They were excellent!
To be honest, you could probably just chop off one end of a standard aux cable and wire that into these speakers, plug the other end into a phone/laptop, and it would still have plenty of volume. Speakers this large (3 way box, 15” woofer) are basically designed for efficiency. (Edit: punctuation error.)
i have one of these amps myself, and i can assure you, these things are a real weapon.
It's a class D amplifier. Heat isn't really a big problem. And you won't always have it cranked up always. It should be good for bedroom audio system use.
I went garage sale shopping and I got a system that might not sound the clearest but is is loud and has a lot of bass It consists of 4 10s and 2 15s the best part is I got it all for under $80
That panning at the start made me car sick! lol
so its about what you get from a car radio most say they are about 50 watts RMS per channel.
EastAngliaUK lol 25w a channel if you are lucky on car head units
Mine is 4 x 55w, and the amp is pretty good quality. it is some 700$ chinese name radio, very happy with it
EastAngliaUK 4x55W peak, 4x22W rms :-)
55W peak output. The RMS for 50-55w peak head-units is about 18-22w
One exception is my Sony MEX-XB100BT which outputs 46w RMS and 100w peak per channel. As far as I'm aware it is the only head unit that is 100w per channel.
That's about right this amp is based on a Class D TPA3116D2 IC and does 2x50W per channel and is power efficient. Most car amplifiers are linear so they actually have less noise, but are not as power efficient.
Great sound enjoyed it 👍
NCS, great copyright free Tunes, recommend!!!
What size is the DC connector? I can't seem to find it anywhere
sounds pretty clean for such a little thing and coming through a mic/youtube too
Insane brah
the efficiency of hifi speakes is often 10 db smaller than the efficiency of PA speakers so is a bommbox or some think like that a bit quieter
What size are the mids on the Biemas, are they 6.5"?
RWL2012 tiny 5 inchers
Wow! really??
I just realised CZcams now has an audio level timeline. So you can see it gets loud at 4:46
Edit : OK apparently it's a viewed timeline, not audio level
Bought that amp right away, guess I will be receiving two bluetooth amp boards now :D .
The best mini amp
You know what my favorite video game was? None, TV tennis didn't come out until I was 12 or 13 instead I had a 429 Cobra Jet Engine and rebuilt it into a street rod and I saved my money from painting garages and lawn work, shoveling and other odd jobs and I finished the engine and installed it in a mint car that had a bad 351 Miller engine and I used a Hurst 4 speed and Franklin floating rear end. Laying around playing video games ruins your life...
Prms=1/2 V^2/R, your fomula is DC power formula, thats only 21.3watts rms, thanks for the video, i thought it had step up chopper supply to produce that 120watts rms lol. 100watts @8ohms requires 40volt swing +-, if that tester was reading true rms voltage, you formula would be right.
Unless it is a class-D, keep cranking this amp for a little longer with that power supply and you could easily at least blow up your tweeters.
Wait, what are the PA speakers used in the video?
There is at ultimate maximum 22V x 5A = 110 watts comming out of the amp. There can't come more power out the amp then there goes in to the amp. So the 120 watts you mentioned is not possible. And the heatsink seems a bit smal for 120watts.
I like your style in music
Even if that ebay amp is 10 watts you will get very loud with big PA speakers. It seems to be about 1 volt above my acoustic solutions SP101 which did about 17.5 clean RMS volts (probably mild clipping)
VERY surprised by that result on the Beimas!
Doublsmm your an actual beast
link Amazon?
The title says: “mini EBAY amp” and it’s a TPA3116D2 amp they’re like $12 or something. I’m from the UK so don’t quote me on the price
The little amp that could:D
Your neighbour would be pissed!
can you write the link where you bought this mini amp?
www.ebay.com/itm/TPA3116D2-120W-2-Wireless-Bluetooth-4-0-Audio-Receiver-Digital-Amplifier-Board-/172381209832
DarKParadoX666 thank you soooooooooo much i needed that Thing!😗
+DarKParadoX666 thank you men i am going to order it
You're welcome guys ;) enjoy it !! =D
15$
You can run the amp on 22 volts, but it will for sure get fried
The description for the amplifier board says it will run fun on anything between 12-24v
...just a few passes of the room is best.... i was starting to get sick...
This little amplifier is more powerfull than you think :D Connect a 24V 4A through this amp and you should probably get 110W RMS per channel
use a 12v sealed lead acid battery and a 600 watt boost converter. boost the voltage up to 23v you might get even more out of it.
My two 50W RMS speakers dustcaps get warm and the volume is not even 75%
I want to run a mini amp to a pair of klipsch r26 but usig the initial signal from an Avr basically doing a transmission signal boost.
Can this be done or will the mini amp backfeed into my Avr and cause a problem.
Where do you get the correct power supply for the amp, I need ome
What power supply did you switch it to exactly? I might buy one of these and was wondering if a 24v 5a power supply would be okay.
ThatManIam that’s what he used
Random, actually the video used a 22 volt 5 amp power supply
You plugged in the multimeter with the biemas. How can it get an accurate reading when you have a load on both amp channels?
me too I am only bass drop party low drop ! Big subwofer D12
HOW? 😯
That slams
This power supply can deliver 110 watts. Because 22 volts×5 amps is 110. Maybe it can deliver 120 watts. But you need another powersupply
If i had that amp ill be blasting through my neighbours
Make sure to add a fan- that thing is probably pretty hot right now.
Nvm. If in an enclosure it could overheat.
What kind of speakers are those
It's not so surprising that it can produce sound, even a small TDA2030 can drive that speaker less expensive, then making a sub is also less expensive but ok to each his own if U can afford to get a class.D -amp fine with me.... thanks for sharing
My giant Sony amplifier is 125 W per channel and that little bugger is 120 W per channel
The amplifier has no more power than your power supply xD
Would be interesting to know the sensetivity of those boxes. Are they 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm?
You didn't calculate RMS correctly well the dynamic RMS..
I wouldnt be putting that board on a carpet static discharges from the carpet will damage it almost straight away if your unlucky anyway have fun with that thing.
What model of amplifier is it?
I have the same phone
just ordered this amp on ebay with a 24v 5a dc power supply to power my "Cat Berlin 2007" 3 way speakers
what was the power source you use on the BT to power those speakers
How well does Crown amplifiers handle a 2 ohm load with a subwoofer?
Hello sir...great video but keep noted...the distortion might be due to voltage drop on tge power supply...i happened to me with a high end sony amp
That amp gives 2x50w on 4ohms
Thank you so much
I know this is 2years ago but you didn't post a link to that mini amp...
what's that NCS track
ark
The data sheet of tda3116 says 50*2watts but the parallel bridge load graph shows only 60 watts. it's really confusing.that Bluetooth amp has a single chip so it can't produce 120 watts per channel.at 4 ohms it's going to overheat.but u can drive up to 2 ohm on parallel bridged mode with two chips.tda3116 is a great chip but I can't find its actual RMS power.
Panning around the room = I started to feel sick
But... Can you add a dedicated Subwoofer on it
Amazing!!
can you provide a link to that circuitboard? dont seem to find it that easy on ebay. thats mighty impressive!
edit: nevermind! got it. wtf sub 15 bucks for that? awesome!
any update on the subs
Hello there Doublsmm:
I remember hearing about the NES mini being scalped For as high as $8000 US (or roughly about $11000 Austrailian cause the Google conversion calculator only gives a rough estimate) in the USA due to Nintendo creating an artificial demand by keeping shipping amounts sparse which actually gave potential scalpers an opening to buy up all of 2-3.consoles a store had and reselling them on eBay for insane-o prices. Hell, if you were a legal citizen of the USA and had $8 grand burning a hole in your pocket, would you spring for an NES Classic on eBay or buy everything needed for a really nice high-end fully water-cooled gaming/video editing PC? I know what i would go for.
can we get a link to the amp... And you Ig account has no content...
Is Logitech z333 sub good for first sub?
+Reiniz old channel I personally wouldn't recommend it. They don't sound that great for the price. All of Logitech's speakers lack clarity and precision. I'd recommend buying better speakers and a decent real sub after you can afford a budget one. You'll get a lot more out of your new system that way :)
Salty Graphics I'll have to respectfully disagree there. Sure the best Logitech speakers are better sounding than the cheapest ones, but they're all cheesy
STATIC FROM A CARPET NOOOOO🤣🤣😆
what bluetooth board is it what model? is this the TPA3116D2 ?
well. it's definitely git power in a tiny package, class d does well at that. but ohms law calculations only works for a solid load Impedance, speakers are variable, and at any frequency it's generating back voltage that increases the resistance, an 8 ohm speaker will never be 8 ohms in use, most likely never drop below 16ohms, and could be into the 30s or 40s. go buy another multimeter that has an amp clamp, clamp that around one of the power wires, and use that amperage rating and multiply it by the read voltage, that gives you the true power being used, ohms law will always over inflated an amps rating, if I use it on my amps it gets me 3600 watts, but using the amps it's actually about 1500watts
I believe it
what cameras and mics do you use for filming
can you connect 4 ohm spaekers ? on the mini amplefier
and,the winner iiiiissssssssss,speaaaakeerrrsssssss!!!!!!!
find a lipo 4s for a portable speaker or a 6s for the 23v
did you Go on xlr for the big speakers ?
Where did you buy the amp and how many have you tried
That mini amp will burn out quick.
depends on it. I have this amp and im playing at full vol. Everyday and not even getting hot(just warm). Its very good amp
@@dgjm7129 It must have something limiting it so it does not overheat. I have some big amps, one is 800 PMPO/400 RMS, the other is 500 PMPO, the capacitors are much bigger than those mini amps that are claiming over 100 watts per channel. When they test them' they do not state if or not they are temporary peaks or RMS. One man tested them and you could see when sound starts clipping. Those small capacitors can not generate the watts claimed, they must be PMPO. I saw a stereo in pcworld and they put 1700 watts on the sticker and when I turned it up full it sounded like 30 watts. When I compare the sound to my amps it comes no where near how big watt amps sound. Big amps generate deep bass and a rich sound compared to small ones on matching speakers. It does not matter if it keeps you happy, the small amps are great value and fun and good for making things you can sell.
@@thethoughtmaster yes, it does have some protections for heat. but this is Class D Amps they are Efficient so only at about 50w continous its will just get warm based on your climate. If your on a hot tropical area it will really get hot. But if your on the coldness of canada you can set it to max alday and It will not get hot what so ever only abit. So yeah
If you wanna knowcwhat amp is this. Its a TPA3116D2. So yeah bye lol:P
hey i need some reccomendations on what i need and what brand to look for when making a speaker system. I'm trying to make it at LEAST 1000 watt total and i want to get two enclosures each holding two subs. i need suggestions for sub and amp brand that will last and that i can take with me to places
What is the model of the amp
You should put that in description
NEW UPLOAD OOOO BOI
Am i weird? Because i like it when it clips
