      Mongi Banana someone has already all you need is a lipo capable of outputting 12v and a pair of speakers or build some speakers with car audio drivers pretty cheap way to get a loud outdoor speaker

      or if you want something small but loud, lets say jbl xtreme which i have - its 40w rms from battery its maybe 40w maybe 35w people do say that its louder when adapter plugged in, sounds loud and plenty for me outside for portable speaker, battery lasts 5 hours full volume but price is out of space - 250 dollars.... for that i could take 12v 7A scooter battery hook up amplifier made with tda1562q chip 55w rms at 14.4v and 1% THD but it would take a whole backpack :)

      and the drivers can come with tweeters pre-installed as well and if you wanted more bass you could get a second Bluetooth module or get a 4 speaker module that has enough hookups for a sub or 2 to be put in as well i mean you could put in 2 shallow-mount subs in to get a really nice richness in bass as well as the mids and highs in the speaker too.

    It's a Class D amplifier, the output fets aren't going to put very much heat out unless its driven into clipping.
    The heatsinks are fine. :)

  • @JustinDavis90
    @JustinDavis90 Před 7 lety +60

    Fun fact, a 120 Watt amplifier will only be twice as loud as a 12 watt amplifier, and in such a small room even a 5 watt amp on an efficient set of speakers will crush your hearing.

    • @JamesLandess
      @JamesLandess Před 7 lety +1

      No offence but I'd need to hear in-person proof before I'd believe that. I have 2,600 watts total for my in-bedroom "home theater" and its rips my face off when turned past 25%. If your interested in the system, it is currently torn apart for me moving houses but if you want I'll post some finished pics on my G+ once put back together.

    • @JustinDavis90
      @JustinDavis90 Před 7 lety +26

      James Landess it's just basic physics, really. you need 10x the power to achieve a 6db increase to output.

    • @adembabovic2528
      @adembabovic2528 Před 6 lety +3

    • @lm6036
      @lm6036 Před 6 lety +3

      Justin Davis Actually, if the speakers are efficient with 90 DB@ 1meter on 1 watt. Increasing that by 3 DB requires twice the power. so 93 is 2 watts. 93 to 96 is 4 etc. So from 12 to 120 watts would be about 10 extra Decibels.

    For portability these amps run very nicely on a 6 cell Lithium Polymer battery (22.2V rated) and will run a long time on an average capacity one say around 4000mA/h (4A/H) for a 3 to 4 hours of use at reasonably high output levels. A lot longer at more moderate output.

  • @djijspeakerguy4628

    To be honest, you could probably just chop off one end of a standard aux cable and wire that into these speakers, plug the other end into a phone/laptop, and it would still have plenty of volume. Speakers this large (3 way box, 15” woofer) are basically designed for efficiency. (Edit: punctuation error.)

      One exception is my Sony MEX-XB100BT which outputs 46w RMS and 100w peak per channel. As far as I'm aware it is the only head unit that is 100w per channel.

None, TV tennis didn't come out until I was 12 or 13 instead I had a 429 Cobra Jet Engine and rebuilt it into a street rod and I saved my money from painting garages and lawn work, shoveling and other odd jobs and I finished the engine and installed it in a mint car that had a bad 351 Miller engine and I used a Hurst 4 speed and Franklin floating rear end. There is at ultimate maximum 22V x 5A = 110 watts comming out of the amp. There can't come more power out the amp then there goes in to the amp. So the 120 watts you mentioned is not possible. And the heatsink seems a bit smal for 120watts.

    I remember hearing about the NES mini being scalped For as high as $8000 US (or roughly about $11000 Austrailian cause the Google conversion calculator only gives a rough estimate) in the USA due to Nintendo creating an artificial demand by keeping shipping amounts sparse which actually gave potential scalpers an opening to buy up all of 2-3.consoles a store had and reselling them on eBay for insane-o prices. Hell, if you were a legal citizen of the USA and had $8 grand burning a hole in your pocket, would you spring for an NES Classic on eBay or buy everything needed for a really nice high-end fully water-cooled gaming/video editing PC? • @mattwells1036
    @mattwells1036 Před 7 lety

    well. it's definitely git power in a tiny package, class d does well at that. but ohms law calculations only works for a solid load Impedance, speakers are variable, and at any frequency it's generating back voltage that increases the resistance, an 8 ohm speaker will never be 8 ohms in use, most likely never drop below 16ohms, and could be into the 30s or 40s. go buy another multimeter that has an amp clamp, clamp that around one of the power wires, and use that amperage rating and multiply it by the read voltage, that gives you the true power being used, ohms law will always over inflated an amps rating, if I use it on my amps it gets me 3600 watts, but using the amps it's actually about 1500watts

      @@dgjm7129 It must have something limiting it so it does not overheat. I have some big amps, one is 800 PMPO/400 RMS, the other is 500 PMPO, the capacitors are much bigger than those mini amps that are claiming over 100 watts per channel. When they test them' they do not state if or not they are temporary peaks or RMS. One man tested them and you could see when sound starts clipping. Those small capacitors can not generate the watts claimed, they must be PMPO. I saw a stereo in pcworld and they put 1700 watts on the sticker and when I turned it up full it sounded like 30 watts. When I compare the sound to my amps it comes no where near how big watt amps sound. Big amps generate deep bass and a rich sound compared to small ones on matching speakers. It does not matter if it keeps you happy, the small amps are great value and fun and good for making things you can sell.

      @@thethoughtmaster yes, it does have some protections for heat. but this is Class D Amps they are Efficient so only at about 50w continous its will just get warm based on your climate. If your on a hot tropical area it will really get hot. But if your on the coldness of canada you can set it to max alday and It will not get hot what so ever only abit. So yeah
      If you wanna knowcwhat amp is this. Its a TPA3116D2. So yeah bye lol:P
