I have the model, ZK-MT21 but it looks exactly like this one, one thing I don't like is the Bluetooth for some reason skip like 2 seconds of the start of every song, no matter how many times reset, unpair and pair the unit, also if you turn the amp off the Bluetooth continues to be connected to my phone and I have to disconnect the power to be able to connect to my headphones, have you noticed any of this troubles or has been fixed on this model?
Yes it's the same with this one. They all use the same jieli Bluetooth/aux chip. It is just how A2DP Bluetooth works, it takes a while for the chip to start the output after periods of silence because when there is no signal on the Bluetooth audio it mutes the output to reduce the hiss, it takes a while for it to realise there is music playing and to unmute it.

Being a cheap device it definitely won't be audiophile levels of quality, but for non professional stuff I think it would be fine. Beware though that the 3.5mm input seems to have issues with these devices.

What impedance is the subwoofer? this amplifier is only designed for 4-8 ohms. Also I suggest using a small fan to keep the heatsink cool when using it at high power.

You can use a 800w subwoofer, but this amplifier will not drive it at its full potential. Also, if you are going to use the amplifier at full power for a long time, make sure you keep the amplifier chip cool with a fan on the heatsink.

Agreed, but the small one is impressive with the right power source, I'm running a power source with 24v @ 3amp and it makes the amp run solo good

wow 700k views for a device like this on a channel with 2.7k subs. congrats! I exactly have a copy of this but it has completely no right channel using AUX/Line IN. another problem is electronic noise at higher gain/volume setting. Electronic noise disappears when you don't play anything or immediately after stopping audio. Do you have a problem like this?
I have had some issues with the 3.5mm input where I'd have to hold the connector a specific way to make it work, but it hasn't been an issue for me since I am using it almost exclusively with Bluetooth. As for the noises, I think that's just part of the experience with cheap Bluetooth devices. I haven't noticed it much because I don't use it at very high volumes.
@@scellysspeakers thanks! my dilemma if I should return mine. I also resorted to Bluetooth but it is not too reliable under Windows PC once I started touching settings, on top of the tiny latency. The small amp is indeed powerful but I did a lot of tweaks to enhance low bass/subwoofer channel while reducing the rest of frequencies. now I'm around 80% volume. I slightly made the noise less noticeable by using smaller weaker main speakers and reducing treble on device and equalizer. anyways you say it is normal so it won't make sense to return mine and buy a more powerful one like the Zk-HT21. I'll probably reuse this amp for a DIY bluetooth speaker in the future. thanks again, subbed!
Hi! Is it possible to use a switching power supply with a power of 150 W 24 V 6 amps, but not 5 amps???
i've searched these matters before.. as long as you use 12-24v with at least 5a, example 12v 5a or 19v 5a, you can power it up but the speakers might be distorted on higher volume, if you're not using 24v.. but amps must be sure to match or higher.. do not get anything past 24v for this

This can do 50w RMS @ 4ohms on the subwoofer, so only 25wrms on your 8ohm sub. Also 50wrms for left+right channels.

No, there isn't any way which frustrated me a lot. From what I read online, the only way to fix it is to reflash the jieli MCU on the board with a firmware that prioritises AUX over bluetooth.

For constant use I suggest you use a small fan on the heatsink to keep it cool, it will get hot if you use it at high power continuously.

I recomand 4 Ohm speakers and 24v power supply and you will get more watts RMS (inside it's TPA3116d2 one bridged for subwoofer and one for L&R channels)

@@kartiksharmakartiksharma4399its still a bit unsafe , find two subwoofer of 2ohm connect both in series bring it to 4 ohms then no problems at all. It will run longer , i have build a system with one mono mini 200watt amplifier for sub and a 2.0 150+150 watt amplifier for 4 home theater stand speaker , thats mean one speaker is 75 watt 8ohms , i connect two in parallel i manage to get 150watt 4ohms for one channel in the amplifier and the other channel i connect the other 2, the only problem is i couldn't run the system at full potential because of my power supply, i was a bit hurry for the build and i didn't have enough money for the power supply so i bought a 24v 15a lighting power supply instead of 24v 20a which will give me around 480 watt that mean near the full potential of the whole system, but even with the 360 watt power the system is very loud, for the sub amplifier is too powerful for my subwoofer, my sub is 100watt so i only run the mono amplifier at half volume only , so the 360 watt is not a problem at all . i manage to run this combination for around 3 years , now im looking to extend it with another 2.0 amplifier + plus one mono amplifier and another 24v 20a power supply, to be honest ok let me send the item link in the comment you will see all things i bought online

I have been using it with aux mode and have not experienced this, however the connector is very fussy with what cable I use. Some cables do not give a good connection and only work at specific angles while others work perfectly.

You'd expect probably around 70ish watts maximum power output from the subwoofer channel at that voltage.

@@nguyenhoangduykhai4303 The lower the impedance (ohms), the more current the speaker will draw from the amplifier at a given RMS voltage. If you use a speaker below 4 ohms you are drawing more current from the amplifier than it is designed to and this can cause overheating of the amplifier. This is why in car audio subwoofers have very low impedances but other scenarios like home theatres have higher impedances, because in car audio systems the voltage used is lower (12v) so therefore a lower impedance is needed to get more power.

Yes this amplifier is described as being able to output 200w, but I'm not driving it even close to that in this video because I do not have any speakers even remotely capable of it. It's more of an unboxing/building/simple test video.

The 200w most likely is just peak power, i'd expect continuous RMS power to be closer to 150ish watts (37w+37w+75w) since the amplifier is rated for maximum 24v and a bit over 5a.

He’s running at half power at 7.83 watts, it’s a scam device with fake lettering. In reality it’s a 20w amp. Having djd for 30 years with a commercial 150 watt amp it would tear those little speakers apart.

You would want to use a 24v power supply of at least 5 amps current capacity to get the most out of it, if you use anything under 18v it will distort heavily at high volumes.

I own a few and one by FOSI Audio. They are great for my use cases. The only think I dislike is that when I have aux connected the Bluetooth chip is still available for pairing, and it's not good to have your music stream interrupted in the best part.
I've though of hacking the device to add a switch -- not sure it's easy to do. I've even thought of cutting the antenna and using external Bluetooth receiver.

Yes that's common with the jieli microcontrollers on them, they can be flashed with firmware that gives aux priority over Bluetooth so you can't connect to it when aux is connected. I so far have not found any way to do this though. There are some forum threads online that discuss it but don't have any success.
if only you could show us how to cut the bluetooth output to the preamp section.... or perhapas any idea to mix the signal from bluetooth with some signals from microphone preamp?
I have this exact amp I bought 2 years ago and have abused it daily and it still works perfectly. However at some point the Bluetooth range went from a dismal 10' range new to about 12"! I literally had to leave my phone on top of the amp to get clear reception (have another 100wx2 amp that does this too). I bought a cheap Bluetooth antenna from parts express($5) and cut the PCB antenna about 5mm in and soldered the tiny antenna wires to it and now my range is about 20 feet!
The antenna is a chassis mount and the antenna can unscrew from the mount. I drilled a hole to mount it in the top cover and when the antenna is attached lays almost flat with the cover. Antenna and cover are parallel to each other.

@@voodooyam I've been very happy with the performance of the amps I own with exception to the Bluetooth range. I have no idea how the range can deteriorate like it did. I use one to power 2 old Polk speakers and an 8" subwoofer hooked to my TV. Another is used to push 4 8" ceiling mounted speakers(2 on each channel in parallel to make 4ohm load) in my enclosed porch.

Depends on the impedance, but it should be able to run at a full 100w for 4 ohm speakers with the amplifier running on 24v. Although for high power like that I suggest adding some sort of active cooling to the amplifier.

What power supply did you use? It will distort heavily at high volumes if you use anything under 24v with at least 4 amps of current capacity.
Can it be connected to an equaliser? How would it be done?
You could use a software based equaliser for bluetooth (like wavelet) or you could pass an analogue signal through a physical equaliser into the aux input of the amplifier, but the aux input isn't great on this amplifier and the normal L and R channels have a high pass filter for some reason so you won't get much bass through them

Yes, the amplifier in the video is a genuine one. You can tell because the fakes have glossy PCB top covers and do not have small SMD components around the chokes.

can this amplifier be connected to the car?
Any amplifier can in theory be connected to a car, but this one is not designed for that purpose. It doesn't use the connectors and wire harnesses that are for cars. You create your own custom harness for your car to connect to it and power it from the car's battery, but you will have to make these adapters and harnesses yourself.

Yes it bottoms out, it's only designed for around 40w RMS

It supports 4-8 ohm speaker drivers according to the datasheet for the amplifier chips used.
why buy tb21 instead of mt 21? whats the difference?
TB21 uses genuine Texas Instruments TPA3116D2 amplifier chips and has more filtering circuitry, MT21 uses a Chinese chip and has less filtering.

@@techsoundph6210 There is too much variety for only one recommendation, any passive 2 way speakers can be used. I use Eltax Monitor iii but any other models can be used as long as the impedance is 4-8 ohms and it can handle the power from the amplifier.

my ZK-TB21 subwoofer channel is gone.😔😔 I tried looking for burnt components like a resistor or capacitor but can't find it.😔😔 I bought an Aiyima amp with true dual tpa3251 chips but the AUX/Line in does not work and bass frequency range knob is terrible, it still sends human voice to the subwoofer.
Did you connect a very low impedance subwoofer to the amplifier or use it at full volume for a long time? These amplifiers are known to overheat if used at high power for a long time so I suggest using a small fan to keep the heatsink cool.
@@scellysspeakers slightly, it is a 3 ohm sub. My use will not overheat as only the subwoofer channel is driven hard and most bass songs don't have constant load. I think my fault of mine is using 26 volt power, I used it because it is the max recommended of the Chipstar cs8673e datasheet but it is likely that the board is designed to max at 24volts.😢 It was a slow death as the bass drops, it sounds distorted or electronic and weak until it complete disappeared in 30 seconds.😔 I want to fix it but still can't find the faulty component. I finally made the Line/AUX In in the Aiyima 2.1 amp TPA3116D2 to work. No more issues unlike the ZK-Wuzhi amps! It is more efficient or puts out more sound for the same power, maybe 20-40% more efficient. I was also able to find a PC Equalizer so that bass gets low like the Wuzhi amps. It feels I don't I need to upgrade the 20V, 4.5A power adapter I currently use. It is only $6.68 more expensive than Zk-tb21.
@@zodiacfml Still you ran the device out of spec, that would definitely be the reason. Even if it is only the subwoofer channel, there is an entire chip dedicated to it that will easily burn out if ran improperly. For 3 ohms I would've suggested never going above around 70% volume for the subwoofer channel, which is the point at which the AC current would match the peak of what you'd get at 4 ohms.

I hope to fix the Zk-Tb21 someday though- I will check again once I'm done with other tasks. the subwoofer chip looks fine and the pin resistances seems similar to the other chip. thanks for the replies!🤩🤩

Yes it will but you won't get the maximum power from it. For highest power output you will want something like a 24v 5a power supply.

Had the same exact model then sold it to a friend, 14v 3A, however, he's pumping out a 15 inch subwoofer and a pair of 3 way speakers.
Now i have the later version (160w+160w+220w) with 32V 10A and it managed my two 12 inches subwoofers so well, sold 'em and got a single 15 inches, but still rocking it.

O modelo novo é muito superior e custa 67 reais...frete grátis. Fonte perfeita para ele é 24 volts 9 Amperes.... única fonte você consegue tirar tudo dele. O processador de áudio esquenta muito... troque a pasta Térmica urgente, use a pasta Térmica Kryounout, dissipa 15 Milliwatts/ Kelvin

This amp is very good but on online shop in my country some people sell it with fake Ic not the real Ic.Wuzhi zk tb21 using tpa3116 2.1 Ic,the fake ones use the others and it's not tpa3116 2.1, u can check it by opening the heatsink
I think the ZK-MT21 is the one with the fake chip, you can also tell by looking at the components next to the speaker terminals.
