I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dr. Szydlo is a national treasure of the United Kingdom. ❤
Deserves a medal.
He deserves a show or channel of content all his own. Perhaps rotating guests, but still with a full live audience to film in the show.
It's so good to see Dr Szydlo return to the Ri. He is clearly on form and, as always, a pleasure to watch.
He is on fire.
He's back to the former self, that's great to see.

Every time this man is doing something I'm glued to the screen. Such brilliance and enthusiasm. Love it.
Exactly the same here. A wonderful teacher. 😊
likewise, I really enjoy his experiment filled lectures.
Dr Szydlo is such a great communicator and teacher. I thoroughly enjoy his lectures. ☺️
I wish I knew Szydlo in my younger days because I would have become a chemist because of him. Few teachers can do what he does.
to be fair, a teacher can't just do experiments and presentations. They do have to deliver the theory as well which can't always be done in an entertaining way.
This guy is the dude everyone pictures when they hear "mad scientist". I'm surprised he kept up that pace for 83 mins without hyperventilating.
I think he was secretly put on decaff. His magic of Chemistry is even more frantic
He cools down his tea with liquid nitrogen, I imagine that's something all mad scientists do.
@@mariusvanc and make nitrogen ice cream
He tought at my school. If you got in trouble he'd say "right that's a 250 word essay on discipline...but if you've already got one saved on your computer it's okay just print it out again". Always had charisma and eccentricity about him.

Am so glad Andrew Szydlo is still about.such a great educator and so entertaining. Does not matter how many times he tells his story about the market man, he always makes me and the kids chuckle. Thank you so much for all your videos.
The story sounds very accurate, as far as I can tell from my own experience in my country.
I can only hope that when I reach this gentleman's age I have HALF as much energy and enthusiasm as he does about ANY subject lol. Great video!
Amen! 👍🏻
i think he creates his own caffeine from scratch
Don't worry. The liberals/leftists in your country wherever you live will squeeze the last bit of curiosity out of you with more prohibitions and restrictions.
@@emmepombar3328 Yes, it's just a "left vs. right" thing. Because OF COURSE IT IS!!!
What's it like to live in a world of only 2 colors? Must be kinda drab huh? :(
So Glad to see Dr. Szydlo back in person at RI!
As a Chemistry lover, I guess this video should be shown to those starting to study the discipline as an elementary subject so as to hone their curiosity and whet their appetite. Dr. Szydlo's energy is off the charts!
I'm not a child anymore but I'm loving the lecture !
we are all dear children when watching this wonderful teacher, he brings youth and inquiry to anyone at any age!
I love watching Andrew Szydlo. It is just the way he does things that keeps me watching. It is great you have another video of him. I could watch him all day doing things. I would love to meet him in person and watch him work.
I just love this guy. I never miss a video of his, whatever the time it is that I see one, I'll watch till to the end.
What a treat it is to see the professor again!
This man is a force of nature.
Arrived because of Matt Parker, stayed because of Andrew Szydło.
I love the guy! Such energy. My favorite science presentation was him in the same place in 2014
Wow, I was just on an Andrew Szydlo lecture video binge when I saw this uploaded 9 hours ago! Really nice surprise to start the day haha
I just love watching Andrew Szydlo. His enthusiasm is amazing and a joy to watch.
Dr. Szydlo you are a legend !! Such enthusiasm and humility, that is what science is
A new video with Dr. Szydlo? That's an immediate must-see!
Dr. Szydlo, please keep on going! Your enthousiasm really shows off and I'm sure many kids will grow to love chemistry due to you! :)
Seeing Andrew Szydło is always such a pleasure. His excitement and enthusiasm about chemistry and science is so infectious. We're living in great times. I'm looking forward to showing his videos to my children. Thank you, @The Royal Institution, for hosting him more than just once.
I want to tell you all, dear children, this man is a gift to us ALL !!!
Finally a new episode of "Chemistry with Andrew Szydlo". Always a pleasure to watch. (:
Indeed!
This guy has a great sense of showmanship and a fantastic teacher
I watched the last video, yet still watched this one to the end like it was my first time. his energy is contagions.
Andrew Szydlo's presentations are some of my favourites, isn't that right dear children!?!
I loved his story, fire and pyro is what got me into chemistry. Fire is such a beautiful chemical reaction.
Great professor, what an energetic delivery. Salute sir.
Andrew keeping the subtitler's busy as usual :) He's a great communicator and keeps his energy levels high and he's always engaging.
How I wish I would've had somebody like this in school as a teacher, this is like the 5th one I'v watched of his lectures and smiled the whole time. I love it when they go to applause him and he just "no no no stop it" and goes right back to what he was doing or back to the same word he left off on without missing a beat even before they can process to stop clapping LOL
I wish I could see him live! What an inspiration!
Dr Szydlo is why i subscribed to this channel. It's so obvious when people are absolutely crazy about their subject.
We want more of this man!
He is a great presenter! Very good job.
Arn't we all dear children? Again mahalo Ri and Dr. Syzdio! Your enthusiasm is catching.
More from Szydlo please!
There are already a few.
As a kid I used to use sodium hydroxide (drain cleaner) water and aluminum foil to generate hydrogen for balloons. A lot of fun. I just love Andrew’s wonderful, exciting and engaging manner. What a delightful person!
yay! Glad to see Andrew is still doing his thing!
I’ve never been this glad to see a video
"This is a catalyst, you don't have to worry about what that means..." because the good man is kind enough to explain it to us 😉
Dr Szydlo has to be one of the most engaging chemists, and lecturers in general, that I've ever seen
This was genuinely amazing. I enjoyed the talks by Andrew Szydlo at the Royal Institution. This presentation was once again perfect. Thank your for sharing this with the rest of the world. Even though I am a grown-up, I still enjoyed this. Andrew Szydlo has such a passion for physics and chemistry.
“Dear children !” Is his trade mark quote. This man is an absolute genius and talks without many notes( refreshing change!).”No pls don’t clap!” Is another of his famous quotes. What a very lovely, educated and modest man he is.Absolutely captivating, unlike a lot of educators. His passion is fire.He seems to have a fire like passion for Chemistry ⚛️!Seen a previous lecture some years back and just as brilliant from this legend of a man.👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is my first time time watching Dr. Szydlo, looks like he's such a nice man and communicator
I love to see these videos by Dr. Andrew Szydlo! He loves experiments at least as much as I do and he has the great privilege of being able to do so many more of them. Thank you, dear doctor!
Dear children lol. Was very entertaining to watch. Great stuff.
My god i'm so glad to see Szydlo, the lord of fire, back in his true element
Old is gold
Welcome back Sir... ..you are always awaited...
The man is an artist. Truly one of a kind.
We, in France, need more teacher like this one ! 😊 It Will make our school à place of knowlege with Joy. Thank you for beeing so joyfull, and pationate with science. Look forward to the next video
Thank you RI and Dr Szydlo for sharing this most current session.
Andrew has such a captivating style, his words hold you spellbound throughout. Great lecture.
Szydlo is my favorite presenter. He's so enthusiastic and you know he loves what he's doing.
Andrew was my Chemistry teacher many years ago...he was a lot of the reason I went on to do my Doctorate. I got the bug for Chemistry from him. :) It's so nice to see him inspiring generation after generation of budding young chemists.
honestly Im jealous to those who sit there attending the presentation, I wish I was there
Excellent presentation. TY
I’m a teacher and would like to do some of the demos shown. Would love if the RI put a guide to the chemical reactions demonstrated so that I can wow my students and impart my love of chemistry to them too!
He is one of the best. I suggest using earplugs when you do the last balloon. I once did it without them and could not hear anything for several minutes.
im another one happy to see Prof.Andrew back again.....back on form....brilliant ...he's the best...
As a maths tutor I'm learning communication skills from this guy. The more knowledge you have, the easier it is to get your point across to children.
as always , perfection, I'm so proud to be Polish as profesor Szydlo is :)
Si Deus nobiscum, quis contra nos :)
as always, amazing lecture Dr. Szydlo. Chemistry is becoming extra fun when you lecture it.
Poor Andres 🤣 You gotta dig the Good Doc's enthusiasm though
Super human energy from this guy. Fiery and explosive energy at times you might say lol. Love it when he lectures.
Now dear children, for the remainder of the duration of this experiment, I will have only one glove on, indeed! LOVE YOUR CLASS PROFESSOR😁😅😇
I love this man. Glad to see him back where he belongs!
Dr Szydlo always makes you feel he invented teaching. He's born to do this. Greeeaaaat
Agreed. Nice to be able to watch some nice and lengthy new content.
Why hasn't Dr Szydlo done the Christmas Lectures yet? What a communicator to children!
Love Dr Szydlo he has distinct doc brown from back to the future feel to him 😁
Brilliant guy! Love him!
My man is so dedicated to science… he almost died giving a lecture… wow
this teacher explains amazingly i felt never boring .
So good to see you back.
Superb!
A joy to watch. I wish he where my teacher.
i literally saw this was a recommended video and closed a video i was over 50% through the episode just because it featured Dr. Szydlo
He is such a kind gentleman🧐
i wair for his lectures may God bless us many many more words from his esteem lectures
loved it well done
Love his "blue balloon" pronunciation. 😁
oh man ! great energy he have .......even more than that oxygen balloon.........really loved it
Imagine, the duo Prof Andrew Szydlo and Prof Julius Sumner Miller on the same bill, Chemistry and Physics extravaganza.
Midst of war, Mr. Szydlo gives us a feeling of normality. 🇺🇦
There are few CZcams notifications that change my schedule like a new Szydlo lecture.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could shed some light on the reactions taking place from 14:50. Great lecture as always!
magenta color is due to small amount to phenolphthalein (an indicator which is colorless in neutral and acidic solutions but turns pink in alkaline ones). It works with any bases and acids, you can try this: small amount of phenolphthalein (which looks like empty glass) and large amount of NaOH solution (clear colorless liqiud in the other conical flask). Indicator turns solution to pink. Then pour it to the next flask filled with e.g. HCl (or any other acid, vinegar will do as well). The solution will lose its color, as it becomes either neutral or acidic (depending on amount of acid). Then again you can add any base (KOH, Ca(OH2) etc) to get magenta color.
I hope I can once see one of those in person.
Dr Szydlo's hands are so steady
Szydlo rules! More Szydlo!

If I had teachers teaching me like he does i would like to think I would be the next Einstein he is so polite and respectful to his students he catches your attention and curiosity and imagination, damn he is a good, good kind man if only he was father,I would have the world i only hope his children realise how lucky they are. I’m sure they do.
Very interesting chemical vials indeed
Dear Sir, What chemicals are used on the copper coin to push the iron/nedeel to 90 degrees, and it is washable.
What chemicals are used on copper coins by pushing the iron/needle to 90 degrees and it continues to work the same after washing.
I have used many chemicals but no success.
Please help me
I'm waiting for your reply as soon as possible.
Thank you
My favorite presenter
Dear children, watch and learn!!
I think he just inspired a generation of fire-lovers. :P
This guy could talk about cardboard and I'd be captivated.
ACIDS BURN.
Honestly, I'd love to see that lecture - there's a *lot* of cool chemistry to cardboard...
He would be great as Q in a James Bond film, thoroughly entertaining.
Yay my favorite pyromaniac is back!!
