Her uncle's brother? That makes him her uncle as well.
Probably her uncle through marriage, so her mother or fatherâs sisterâs husbandâs brother.
Disability allowance lol
Cousin marriage is common with the religious culture. In Pakistan its as high as 68% for 1st and 2nd cousins and ither relations. Throughout countries who have this as the majority faith it is common.
She says sheâs was married to her uncleâs brother, not his son. Her uncleâs son would be her cousin. Her uncleâs brother would simply be another uncle, or at worst, her own father.
@annacroixx I did write "and other relations". But it just so happens that most related marriages with the religious culture are cousin marriages. There's large amounts of cousin marriages even in the UK community. I think its relevant.
@@jhunt5578 The Adam and Eve story starts the human race with incest. Goes back to Ancient Egyptian mythology and essentially permeates most cultures in their creation myths. The âOriginal Sinâ is incest. Thatâs why the Catholics baptize babies.
@@jhunt5578common denominator does not equate causation.
@@Oasis194 Mo is to be emulated within the religion, the 1st generation are considered to be the best. Mo and many of the early leaders practiced cousin marriage. Add to that the motivation to marry within the family as it kept inheritance from âgoing to another familyâ in the eyes of practicers. Cousins are Halal, this is why women are to cover in front of their cousins. This is the causation. Go and look at the rates throughout countries that follow the faith.
what do you expect from a culture mired in the twelth century
Wow, judgy! About a cultural practice prevalent across a lot the world.
@@sianplatt9913 sad isn't it?
wonder when they will join the 21st century.
and yes i do understand you're judging me rather than patriarchal cultures which are stuck in the past.
It's the norm in Muslim countries, since dating is difficult and Haram. But it's slowly decreasing.
Not in my country đ±đŸđ„đ„
I think she can still become a teacher!!!
To the young lady who is divorced: Iâm so sorry you went through that and Iâm glad you got away from him. Stay strong and know there is NOTHING wrong with you. The right man will come along, in the meantime be happy with who you are!
Quran 4:34
"Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], *strike them.* But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand."
According to the inerrant word of God, it is a man's right to do so. That is what the noble and peaceful faith says.
Watched this, loved it.
To âher uncleâs brotherâ, she said. That would be an arranged marriage her father or another uncle. Yet not one other person is mentions this in the comments. Someone wrote that cousin marriage is common in their culture, but a cousin would be her uncleâs son, not his brother.
Thank you.
I donât know why culture is an excuse to cover up abhorrent practices
It's shouldn't be. An appeal to culture is a logical fallacy
I hope Hasan finds a nice husband. đ
Huh?
Wait? He's that?
He is the only guy there among the women. They are talking about things from a women's perspective. This is what I am getting from this video only. I would need to see the whole thing.
But yeah he is definitely flaming. đ
â@clevereagle1911 maybe not but why is he there with all the women?
Feel sorry for the guy who married that x
Helps people find partners. BBC will spin everything
"....and I couldn't say no"
All that matters is someoneâs experience. The people saying they went through it have a right to feel however they feel. At this point, after being married, they wish they had a chance to do something different. Thatâs not a spin, thatâs first-hand perspective.
â@@chunli99Everyone's experience is first hand, the issue is why certain experiences are cherry-picked by the media over others. If this gathering, which to be fare, seemed pretty benign and positive, had taken place in a white working-class community, the BBC would've given it a different tonal rendering. Sinister music would by playing over the top of the visuals.
â ââ @@skymanifest8339What are you trying to say? That if there were white working-class people talking about arranged marriages the BBC would make it seem more sinister than they do here?
