- In this video, I show you how I go about putting my treads on the stirrups that I cover for my custom saddles. For either the repair shop or custom shop, this video hopes to show a simple way to put stirrup treads on stirrups.

Excelente👍👍👍
Great video. I have had problems with treads in the past and you just showed me how to correct it. Thank you
+Bo Gopuar fantastic man!!!
Thanks for making this! I assume the latigo is 1/4” wide? Going to do this in a couple sets of stirrups and this video helped a lot!
awesome video, as usual Don. the idea fusing a 1/2" bag punch on the one end was an excellent one. I had never thought of that. I actually have only done one pair of stirrups, and they're still sitting in my shop, because I hated them. I may go refinish them, thanks to this video. keep them coming, I watch them all
+DanFranklin fantastic man and thanks a bunch!!!
your one of the best! tanks for your time, and a máster class! im realy like...and learn!!!!!
This is awesome! By any chance, can you tell me (and maybe the rest of us) where to find the template/pattern to cut these out so nicely? Also, what weight of leather are you using here?🙏🏼🙏🏼
wish i would have seen this before i did mine! lol so much easier. would be great to know how you make the pattern for the treads though.
Quick question. What weight Learher to make good tread. Have you tried different weight and doesn’t matter ??? Thanks don for all you do
i dont understand a 1/2 bag punch can any one explain
+mfoto100 it's a slotted punch for making slots... bag punch is what the tool is called. U can do the same thing punching two #8 holes 2" apart and cutting away the leather between them.
