When Time Lords go bad... fear the worst. An epic new 24-part full-cast audio drama event from the worlds of Doctor Who begins in April 2024.
When things turn dark, and you're all alone, there is one traveller of time and space... a wanderer in the fourth dimension... a renegade Time Lord... who will always be there to bring back the light.
But the thing about Time Lords... is they can't all be heroes.
Big Finish Productions presents Dark Gallifrey, a brand-new series showcasing the most chaotic, mischievous and evil Time Lords the planet has ever produced. Morbius (Samuel West), The War Master (Sir Derek Jacobi), Missy (Michelle Gomez) and the Master (Eric Roberts) will each take turns to feature in their own three-part story, with more to follow.
Series Producer, Rob Valentine said: “Dark Gallifrey is a sprawling, multi-story event in which all the most dastardly Time Lords are being let out of the box in various unexpected ways. Some stories are very dark, others are wickedly funny, and some are absolutely insane.
“Expect a rogue's gallery of Gallifrey's most diabolical villains all taking to the stage. Their stories are wildly different, scripted by some of Big Finish's most acclaimed writers... and, behind it all, something massive is brewing.”
The Worlds of Doctor Who - Dark Gallifrey will be released monthly, with the first two trilogies materialising between April and September 2024. Two more trilogies will follow per year until the final release in 2027.
Each part of Dark Gallifrey is now available for pre-order as a single-disc collector’s edition CD (+ download for just £10.99) or download only (for just £8.99).
Big Finish listeners can also pre-order a complete year’s worth of Dark Gallifrey stories for each of the four years the series will run. These bundle pre-orders (two trilogies in each) are available for just £60 (on collector’s edition CD + download) or £50 (download only).
The complete Dark Gallifrey pre-order (for all eight trilogies) is just £210 (on collector’s edition CD + download) or £188 (download only).
All the above prices include the special pre-order discount and are subject to change after general release. - Zábava
No way guys it's morbin' time on gallifrey
Where’s Morbius?
the fact the channel actually liked this😂
@@sugarnips141The fact Big Finish actually used it as the title for their (first) release news.
we got Morbius, the Meddling Monk/Nun, the Master/Missy, who else would be in there? the Rassilon? Salyavin? the Valeyard? the Six?
Perhaps the Terrible Zodin that we have never seen or heard before aside from what the Second Doctor alluded to with the Brigadier in the Five Doctors? Or how about Zagreus?
@@stephensheridan1279would love to see Zagreus make a comeback
If we have a genderbend Omega she'd be called Alpha, I'd say. Always love more from the Valeyard. He Jests at Scars was amazing.
Not sure the Valeyard will ever been the same without Michael Jayston 😢
I like the idea of The Six, but the hypnotic Ten would be wicked too!
Happy to not touch Omega, I liked his tragic end in Arc of Infinity and would not want it undone, but Rassilon after Hell Bent could be interesting if RTD doesn't have his own plan.
I wish the rights issues for the Rani could get sorted out so they could include her in it too.
Oh I hope the Eleven returns. He is a stunning villain, and the one that drew me into buying Big Finish Audios and recommending them to my friends.
we're going to be Morbing good for a while
Looks that way.
Where’s Morbius I don’t see him?
So this is that rumoured “ time Lord suicide squad?” Set I guess
"What are we? Some kind of Dark Gallifrey?"
Now unironically I can say "It´s morbin TIME!"
The list on the website is HUGE!! :O
24 PARTS??
...
Can I marry Big Finish? Love you guuuuys!!
Don’t bother the range of stories are genre rehashes. When you want Timelord stories it’s gender nonsense
@@paulashe61 Wow... Do you also put up posters with "Santa isn't real, call me for the truth" in kindergartens? Let me enjoy stories, man! If I find happiness and excitement in other people's work, that's my joy 😊
When I'll need to be tickled by an asshole, I'll buy a vibrator, thank you.
My excitement is immeasurable!! Finally a deep dive into Gallifreys darker side... with the War Master too! Here, just take my money.🤑Now we just need the Richard Armitage version of The War Rassilon to join the pantheon of evil...
More Richard Armitage can only be a good thing.
I just hope they don't actually call him the war master. It makes sense for the doctor but the master would have no reason to change or reject his name in that period
Okay, you list four characters but show five in the video…
0:31 War Master
0:33 Movie Master
0:35 Meddling Nun return???
0:38 assuming that’s Morbius
0:40 Missy
So I’m assuming that The Monk/Nun will have some part in this series, even without a full trilogy of stories dedicated to them
I think the one at 0:38 is a different incarnation of the monk, I think he is the one played by Rufus Hound.
Morbius is getting a three part story in this set
@@SnowMonster29now that I zoomed in, I think you might be right. It does appear to be Rufus hound, I can see the mustache😂
Maybe they just don’t have art for Morbius just yet
Oh for the War Lord and the War Chief to return!!
@@DomH75 I don't think the War Lords were time lords, I think only the War Chief was one, but if he does appear, maybe the war lords will appear as well.
OMG! That trailer was like Gallifrey in the Upside Down in Stranger Things, that was amazing
Always here for the War Master 🖤🖤
I love the concept and I'll throw down money for it.......but do you need 3 incarnations of thr master for this? Gallifrey has cooked up many more renegades than that
It's 24 parts lol. They could do the same for The Collective (the Eleven etc.), Rassilon, the Monk and so on.
@@UnderTheKoscheii yea. I'll admit I said that too soon and assumed morbius and the 3 masters were doing 2 trilogies each (still getting used to the method of release)
I'm very happy for multiple Masters to feature, but three back to back seems a bit odd to me
Edit: I now realise it has not been confirmed that the three are back to back, and I don't know why I thought that
The Monk and the Nun are literally both in the trailer
@@ShinyaMerveilles66 👍
Big Finish. Thank you So Much For Continuing The Novel Adaptation Range!!! Im so happy it’s back and I’m so Excited to listen to Goth Opera!!! Please continue this range! Please Adapt more Doctor Who Books! Especially the BBC Books with the 8th Doctor & Past Doctors!!
I'm hoping for adaptations of Time of Your Life & Killing Ground. Also an adaptation of the Eighth Doctor and Sam stories would be really cool
@@UnderTheKoscheii Hell Yeah!
Could you imagine if they adapted an eighth Doctor Adventure that has FACTION PARADOX!!! I Would Buy The Hell outta that!!
@@maxkennedy7430 that would be amazing. Particularly if they adapt Interference. Bring in Paul McGann and Tim Treloar
@@UnderTheKoscheii I Would buy a Limited Special Edition style Boxset of that! Including Alien Bodies and The Ancestor Cell. With illustrations by Lee Binding or Clayton Hickman.
@@maxkennedy7430 Imagine The Tomorrow Windows, all those cameos lol. Hope they bring back Matt Di Angelo as Fitz.
A 24-part multi-series with various villainous Time Lords? 🤩
No idea what this is but im hyped
I saw this on Facebook recently and it has my interest and im hooked on the audio dramas now I can't wait to see how it goes
God it's weird hearing Briggs narrate anything in his normal voice. Looking forward to seeing classic DW Time Lord villains get more chances to shine, outside the Master!
Morbius, the Zod of the Time Lords!
To be fair Time Lords have never really been the best bunch
To quite the great Colin Baker: “The oldest civilization: decadent, degenerate and rotten to the core!”
Yeah... Anyone who calls themselves "lords"...
Was that the Nun I spied?
Was that the nun? I cried.
When are you just going to make animated adventures? Your Dalek animated trailers are too good
I hope we'll get at least one incarnation of the One/Two/Three etc....
I'm excited to listen to this
It would be awesome to see The Dream Lord, The Valeyard (maybe in a new incarnation if Jayston, RIP, didnt record for this), the Barber Surgeon, Borusa and Rassilon in this series.
Oh I'm throwing down cash hard if the barber surgeon had a turn
or perhaps even another incarnation of the Eleven, something like this, we might see the Six
@@ShinyaMerveilles66 "I was never a doctor"
"I strangled a companion of mine on the floor of my TARDIS".
@@almighty7621 that would be cool.
I'd love to hear the Barber-Surgeon again. 😁
Fantastic! 😀
Awesome!!!!!
Oh-ho what madness have you been cooking up for us this time :>
The first episode was good, but considering most of these characters already have their own serieses, I wonder how this will be different?
THATS AMAZING!
I saw this trailer at Gallifrey One, I’m super excited to see it! The trailer looks so cool!
The Rani!
This will be great! Very cool idea.
That said, Big Finish loves to hoover up all my money. I spent an ungodly amount for a years worth of preorders already, THEN they tell me there's more!
😅😒
Okay... Interested to see who will be writing these. Will this be a bit of soft reboot for the various Master/Missy sets?
Just listened to Morbius 2. The Eleven has a cameo, so it's most likely he'll get his own appearance. 😊
Oh, and the general term "The Collective" for his incarnations is canon now.
And it's all about The Masters what about the other evil Time Lords like The Rassilon, Omega, the Ronnie and also Morbius?
The Monk is in the trailer, and Morbius is mentioned in the copy.
The Ronnie? I know you meant The Rani, but now I have visions of Ronnie Corbett's Slitheen character somehow being portrayed in this
This looks masterful brill trailer 👌
I can’t wait for this
It seems good
I saw the monk as well
Why is the Rani not part of this? 🤔
Haven’t got the rights to use her
The Rani has some confusing rights issues because technically the BBC don’t own most of the classic monsters and villains as they’re all property of the writers who created them.
The rights to The Rani are in limbo. Rani was created by Pip and Jane Baker. But they had no children. So no one is sure who owns the estate. So no one is sure who has the rights.
@@KilamajaroKen We are sure - the rights are owned by a medical charity who Pip left his residual estate to.
@@tomwantshelp Yeah, the issue is that they were previously contacted by, uh, BBV. And, well, once bitten, twice shy.
You have my attention. 😈
Let’s gooooo
I'm interested in seeing the stories for the renegades like Morbius as he hasn't gotten much stories, I'm wondering if it may show what he was like before he lost his body and eventually led to the events of the 'Brain of Morbius' episode, which could be interesting.
Although I'm hoping that each set of stories are not part of an overarching story that will require listening to all of them and each 'season' will be a self-contained story, or at least not require getting all of them.
There's already a story like that. It's called Warmonger by Terrance Dicks.
Can’t wait
@bigfinishprod have you ever thought about using General Tannis from *Death Comes to Time* in the Time War series?
I will voice him for free 🤭
How many times will it’s morbin’ time be used in actual big finish press releases? I’m taking bets.
Yep comment section sure is what I was expecting for something with Morbius in it
I got the email, and was honestly secretly hoping this was going to be evil!Galli-fam. I'll take Morbius and 3 incarnations of the master (hello Missy my beloved 😍) though as consolation.
Dark Gallifrey Tribute
Why I feel that in this reality (is it in another reality?); like of Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans and others foes of The Doctor would be force of good or be lesser evil?
Cause this gives me that concept.
This is gonna be fun 😈
What makes us think Time Lords are good?
I see a monk and a nun in this rouge’s gallery
I hope it doesn't implode like Universal's Dark Universe.
Wow! I wonder if Bilis Manger/the Regulator is gonna be in this?
Murray Melvin is dead. 😢 Also, he is no Time Lord.
@@MrSukram777 Oh goodness, I'm sorry, I didn't know that. He was in a Big Finish story that released pretty recently (The Sublime Porte from last November), but I now see that was a posthumous release by quite a few months
@@TenshiCat i didn't know either until a review on thetimescales for that audio said that. :(
Okay, but where's the Hatchling Project references?
oooooooo
IM SAT
What a load of oh arr Jane lad! Nonsense waiting for Robert Newton in this pirate nonsense
Is this canon?
Everything is canon.
I hear the doctor is now gay...It has gone WAY too dark for me now to watch it any longer.
The doctor is a literal fucking alien... What does it matter about sexualities LOL
I see you time traveled from the early 00s
I time traveled from the 1970's and 80's. My doctor was Tom Baker.@@fun2building
It’s giving what If the chaos gods of 40k met doctor who. That would be a dream cross over even though this isn’t that
