Ola Corrin Paul Dolly and Pippa What a lovely time you all had in Valencia. We visited Valencia on the 14th Feb. We stayed at Devesa Gardens about 20k south of the City. We took the bus in and like you fell in love with its beautiful buildings, helpful people and the historic ambience in the old town. Very sad to hear about another fire and you were so close too. We have since moved North and have enjoyed Barcelona on our trip towards the French border. Staying in Roses now which is a beautiful seaside town with a huge ancient fort. The promenade is beautiful a perfect little bay. Like you we have been affected by these very high winds. Safe travels to you all. Stay safe From Kate Pierre and Tasha 😘

We love Valencia too. Beautiful city, so many lovely buildings. Sounded like a really long walk back to the park up though

Love Valencia. We have friends in Massanassa just south of the city, so have spent a bit of time there over the years. Agree that the Turia (the river bed linear park) is superb.

Good luck at the vets, please let me know the cost as maybe use next time if a better a price than Buchy. I checked Buchys price last night. We paid 35e last year and 43.50e this year. Quite a steep price rise.

You are lucky it's nice and hot. We are in Almeria province. It is still very windy and quite cold. Today we've seen snow on the mountains in the distance. Enjoy

We've been to Valencia a few times. The metro system runs all the way out to nearby towns so one year we rented a villa in Lliria. I would certainly recommend the science park and the bioparc.

Hello just discovered you today. Nice video about Valencia, but only a tiny bit of it. You can use metro or buses to reach other areas, we do not walk all the city as its Spain 3rd biggest city. There is so much more to see in Valencia and surroundings and discover about its gastronomy. Always better to research for restaurants as we have very good ones. Hopefully you spend more time next time u visit. Safe travels xx

We love Valencia, been there 5 to watch the Motogp. Every year we would stay in a different part and always finding new things to see as we walked around. The metro is great to use. The beach is fabulous, especially out of season. Much prefer Valencia to Barcelona.

Would like to see more of the views when you are driving. Otherwise great to see one of my favourite Spanish cities. Much better than Barcelona. Dont forget to look in the old buildings and the old Market. Superb place. You need to get a map of Valencia when you go back because there is so much more to see there.The eco park is the greatest but i dont know if dogs are allowed. Spain has a lot of very strong winds in the Winter so very dodgy if there is fire. There is The Falas celebrations are around January/February which involves fire, so maybe they wont so it this year.

Good morning ! ❤️🥰 we did have a microphone on, but had to use software to isolate the voices as it was so windy ❤️ and during our sit down meal, the background noise was loud too , so it was difficult to hear ourselves, but we will look into a better system to make it a little better xx 🥰
Nice look at part of Valencia. Most CZcamsrs we follow seem to avoid this city, some saying it's not safe. Have you felt safe in the city centre, and also leaving the van in the. carpark?
Morning Steve ! ❤️🙂 València is lovely and well worth a visit ! The car park is very open with regular police patrols, lorries and vehicles park up overnight and we were very happy to see other motorhomes , we tend to watch out for each-other , we have blink cameras and other measures , but of course the windows are only plastic ! , but we are cautious 🙂 the walk into and around the city was fine, never felt unsafe, the dogs although big and soppy may keep people away, but didn’t see anything to worry about 🙂🙂 thanks for watching and commenting , much appreciated ❤️👍🙂

Hi, we are new to motorhoming and planning our first trip to spain and portugal, so have been enjoying your vlogs - thank you for all the helpful info! We noticed you couldn't take your dogs on one of the beaches and then after a bit of research realised it could be quite tricky bringing our dogs! The first upset was finding out that dogs aren't allowed in the national parks in the pyrenees and now it seems most beaches don't allow dogs either? What has been your experience of this? You may have done a vlog about this already and we haven't seen it yet. Also, is it cool enough at night in the motorhome in September/October? Thanks 😊
The dog situation in Spain is mostly not allowed although most places have a doggy beach (usually not as nice but it’s something)
Yes no dogs in the Pyrenees national park was a bit of a shock to us too, first time we’ve come across that. We’ve taken the dogs into the alps, Dolomites in Italy, etc with no issues though.
Sept oct isn’t too hot at night although we’ve been at that time and it’s never been cold. Hope that helps a bit xx

Good morning Robert ! Although they look like a big and little version 🐾🐾🐩🐩 Pippa is a standard poodle , and Dolly is a mini labradoodle 🙂🥰 they aren’t related , but are very close to each-other ❤️🥰
As a Spaniard, I always say Valencia is the most balanced "big" city in Spain: not the greatest at anything, but pretty great in everything that does matter.
El Parque del Turia, which is roughly 2.5 times longer than Central Park (if memory serves right), is one of my favorite places in all of Spain, since it basically allows you to walk from the northernmost parts of the city, to almost the sea, without even setting food on concrete. The sheer example of how a tragedy was made into a wonder, for generations to come.
P.S. If you´re still around Valencia, please do some research and try to find a proper place to eat paella. No place worth its salt serves paella by the dish, much less included in a Menu of the Day. As we usually say, that´s no paella, that´s "rice with things". ;P

@@redsgotravels About the food, not much. You just have to understand that Spain is both one of the most praised culinary destinations on Earth, but at the very same time, the most visited country on the planet (The French cheat with their stats, look it up). And Spanish cuisine is certainly not about overly elaborated dishes, filled with sauces and spices, quite the opposite: it´s about finding the freshest ingredients, from vegetables to the most expensive seafood, and cook it simply, but RIGHT.
That´s why paella, tortilla, jamon, croquetas, calamares, churros, sangria... and may other stereotypes, can go from meh to delicious, depending on WHERE you eat them. And you have to do some research to find the right places, since I can tell from here that´s not a paella, but a cheap, lousy imitation rice, usually sold to tourists, at discount prices.
The point being, money is an issue for most of all, but if you want to get a properly educated opinion about any country´s gastronomy, you HAVE TO PICK YOUR PLACES. Heck, I had to do some serious research about jamon, and I was born here... :D

If you´re truly interested, I recommend a video called "Paella Valenciana: The Secrets Behind Spain’s Most Famous Dish". It explains a lot about PROPER paella, including the founder of Wikipaella. Then you´ll see how the dish is made, and why it´s impossible to have a properly cooked paella in 5 minutes, sitting at the restaurant.

🤭 yup ! It’s in one of our earlier vlogs 🥶 I am fully insured and had to provide all details , including the flight data , and it was down to a faulty battery , it said it had more power than it had and just emergency landed where it felt like … in the Baltic Sea 🥶

I visited Valencia many years ago, It is a great city. Although I hear recently that it has introduced a low emission zone and is planning on a patrol and diesel car ban. Did you have to purchase one of these 'not so environmentally friendly tax stickers' for permission to drive in Valencia and create pollution?
