Ford F250 truck at 13:25, OMG !! I would love to have a truck like that, that has a style *-*
the ford at 13:25 is absolutely gorgeous
+Emett Jones Yeah, pretty sweet looking rig! I think that puller came all the way from Texas.
California
Emett Jones l
Agreed
I love this I can't wait for this year one gosh it driving me nuts I got diesel in my blood watching these videos
Effin Awesome!! Bruh 😎
I liked all the diesel trucks
YEAH THEM FORDS MENT TO PULL
Real Cool Bro, love the Video,
Awesome video bro
Man that track looks hard as a rock
Nice pulls
Love it
love it
Ford kicken ass.
The gassers pulled better than the diesels. Looks like the track degraded as the show went on too. They had to worry about running into a fence that sucks.
different classes-different weights on the sled just fyi lol.
The guy at 11.15 is from Pennsylvania.
Thats a good haul out to Utah from here, its cool to see though.
does anyone know what kind of wheels were on the OBS at 13:25?
Them Fords hung in there
13:46 that Chevy is the bomb
i was a track crew member in P,ville for over 30 yrs. i would like to now if ANYONE has any videos from pinckneyville tractor pulls from the early 70's to late 2000??
Whats the weight difference between the gas and diesel sleds? I'm positive those gassers couldnt pull the same weight the same far as the diesels...
They add more weight to the box on the sled depending on the class. This makes it harder to pull
Jacob Schillig What i thot. Thx.
Big block can outpull a diesel easily seen it MANY times. They run the same weight 6200lbs
Anyone else notice how the trucks that were all fancy pulled worse than the "plain Jane" vehicles? lol
eso esta chingon
for all y'all who say Ford sucks well what did we learn today. they don't suck
Is is just me or do the pro stock machines go less distance than the stock? If so why? Shouldn't they go much farther? Does the pull wagon have a more aggressive weight to it? depending on the level of your truck?
As the class goes up the sled gets more and more difficult to pull, both by weight and friction.
When is the next event? I'm in salt lake and would love to go to one of these.
+Garret Monnet Hi Garret! These pulls are all from United Truck & Tractor Pullers events. I just checked their website (unitedpullers.net/), and they haven't posted this year's schedule yet--they still list last seasons events. They normally start around June, and wrap up the season around September. Pulls are in Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Wyoming. Usually on a Saturday afternoon/evening. They're a lot of fun!!
My favorite was the one that blew sparks. I was also disappointed to see that there were no dirtymax's
12:10
+tyler facey i know there were no dirtymaxs but there was only man trucks allowed
it is kind of danger for spectator to be so close on the end pull ?
Whos 7.3 is that
Can anyone tell me what kinda torque one of these trucks puts down?
I know this is old, but here's your answer. A stock diesel is usually 500-1000 foot-pounds depending on the year, and a tuned one will do 50-100% more. With gas, it's generally about 75% of the horsepower, so 200-500 ft-lbs
Can someone tell me what the hell happened to the guy running up to the truck at the end of it's pull at the 8:29 mark? He was just jogging up towards the truck and he just suddenly grabs his head and looks to drop towards the ground like he ran into or got hit by something, then it cuts to the next pull. Black baseball cap, black t-shirt, camo cargo shorts.
+Philip Reses Whoa, great eyes! It's a little hard to tell whats happening, but the truck had stopped moving forward and had begun digging down into the ground as its tires spun. This caused mud/dust/dirt to be thrown backwards. Looks like the black t-shirt guy is running towards the truck and gets hit in the face by some flying dirt.
Thanks! I thought it could've been dirt from the truck flying at him but I just wanted to make sure!
8:49 is my truck, minus the rust, body dings, and missing front grille
what does 2.6 and 3 and 3.2 mean with the diesels
Ron Thomas Hi Ron, great question. Those numbers (2.6, 3.0, 3.2) refer to the diameter of the inducer bore on the turbochargers, as measured in inches. So, the '2.6 diesel class' means trucks with a turbochargers whose air intake is not greater than 2.6 inches in diameter. Similarly, 3.0 class is a maximum diameter of 3 inches. 3.2 = 3.2 inch maximum diameter. I'll be posting a video soon to explain some of these nuances in more detail.
The driver of the Stumpy's a coming will be coughing black smoke for the rest of his life
How can they start to pull it but not finish ?
+JonathanDoors Great question! As the sled moves down the track, the mechanics of the sled increase the load placed on the truck. The weight box (on the sled) travels further forward, and the pan (bottom of the sled) drops and begins dragging and pressing into the dirt. These mechanisms significantly increase the weight/load the truck is asked to pull. Eventually the truck cannot overcome the load from the sled, and both stop moving forward.
+ArtTrucks thank you for that explanation. But how can they be sure to apply the same load to each truck the same
+JonathanDoors this is handled mechanically by the sled. As the sled moves down the track, the wheels on the sled propel the weight box from the back to the front of the sled. So, at 0' pulled, the box is all the way at the back of the sled. At say 100', the weight box is 1/2 way from the back of the sled to the front of the sled. And finally at say 200', the weight box is in it's fully forward position, which places the most load on the truck. So, it doesn't matter what truck is pulling, the position of the weight box is the same for each truck, based on how far that particular truck has pulled the sled down the track.
There are other adjustments to the sled that affect the load. For instance, there are trigger points on the sled that signal the pan to drop (i.e., to drag in the dirt), or the ram to begin pushing the pan down into the dirt. These trigger points are adjusted from class to class. So, in some classes the sled behaves 'lighter' than in others classes where it is more 'stubborn' or 'heavy'--even though the actual weight of the sled is not changed.
I'll be posting a video soon that ought to makes some of this a little more clear. For now the short answer is that the sled is calibrated to behave the same based on the distance it has traveled, regardless of what truck is pulling it.
+ArtTrucks thank you so much
+JonathanDoors +ArtTrucks I have to honestly say thank you for explaining how a sled pull works properly. So many people would have simply dismissed and put down a fellow individual who is actually curious about sled pulling. Again thank you, you have just earned another subscriber! Keep up the great videos!
I now the girl that drives the 2000 power stroke
21:30 you messed up by putting the name there and it wasnt up yet
Zeke Hunt You're right! Thank you. Sorry for the bug in the edit. Thanks for the catch!
its all good. i thought id point tht out
lmfao Them fords were struggling
not really..
no not really they probably had the most of there brand make it the dodges didn't make it half the time though
@brian goodale ya'll can keep saying how fords r good and dont get me rong they do have nice features like a heated tailgate this way when your pushing it home in the winter your hands wont get cold plus every ford purchase comes with a free dog so when ya'll have to walk home ya'll dont have to do it alone
the chevy owners manual has a bus scheduel at the the back get you some of that
Dodge ram rules
they suck. kid
until a ford f-250 breaks the dodge junk all up
half the time the dodge dosent make it bro they run and then buck and struggle at the end
Chevy has no business being in these events.
Who else seen sparks or fire at 19:00
5.9 is a beast! I don't care what anyone throws at it. They'll pull the hell out of that sled and be ready for work the next week pulling a gooseneck. In all honesty if it was not for Cummins I think they would have disappeared as a light to medium duty truck.
dsimondublin. bullshit 7.3
@@kyleduncan7554
I think he meant Ram would have gone under, which is true. The cummins is the only appeal in an overall kind of shitty line of trucks.
7.3 was a better engine
@@CoyoteFTW yea that's what made ford. They're 6.9 was trash. Ford built reliability off the 7.3 then almost killed themselves in the 6.0 and 6.4 as everyone knows. Thankfully they stepped up their game with the 6.7
my bad ford
I don't think i like this track very much..
I own a 2015 chevy silverado duramax my old man owns a 2012 dodge ram 2500 cummins and we tug a war all the time and ya'll think the chevy wins but the dodge ram beats it all the time both trucks r stock diesel
+Justin Cusano Got good tires though
half of these trucks have no power. my lawn mower can pull that hahahah and its a craftsman
You must be slow in the head
lol i dont think this measly amount of entertainment warrants the extreme pollution these trucks are producing, the amount of exhaust these trucks are producing is ridiculous! no need for that in this time of high concern for global warming.
retaa sandburg you have no clue what the black smoke actually is or what it does, rolling coal does nothing more for global warming than a normal gas car
"Glabal warming" doesnt even exist anymore. Dont they call it something else now? Well anyway its just a myth created by some so-called scientists. But they cant be scientists, cuz they only have the question and hypothesis figured out, but there is no real proof that the earth is failing due to so-called "extreme" temperatures. They cant advertise anything, because they have not come to a solid conclusion. Its just a stupid myth that gullibles like you believe
Josh S its climate change, not even global warming and its a natural phenomenon that happen regardless
Exactly lol
retaa sandburg global warming? lol Wow... Do you have any idea how much one volcano pollutes? Do some research and learn something.
