They are preventing learning for all. These protests are also affecting the university’s reputation, as a new student about to decide on their final choice, it wouldn’t surprise me that new enrollment will be affected, students would prefer to be safe. It’s the university’s loss if they don’t act.

It is portraying a terrible image of the University! The problem is that these absolute morons are only a tiny percentage of Oxford students (and I suspect many at the camp are not even Oxford students but paid activists) and the vast majority of students, including the Jewish ones, will be carrying on with their studies and exams, doing the best they can. Dreadful that these hard-working students, especially those who are Jewish, have to endure the camp's constant call for the death of Israel and the Jews etc, and must walk past these lunatics on the way to their exams.

Universities need to take a hard stance on staff and students; as Douglas Murray says, "...are morally lost....ignorant kids', however, lecturers are as much to blame for their neo-liberalist perspectives, or the 'political correctness gone wrong brigade'. Universities are supposed to be sacrosanct places of open, safe dialogue where all perspectives can be discussed - where lecturers should be helping students to reason with logic and historically accurate facts.
Don't worry, as with the case of Just Stop Oil, they do themselves no favours at all, the more this goes on, the more people will switch off from the cause. Palestine this, Gaza that, boring.
