- A Jewish student at Cambridge University gives MEE a tour of the Cambridge Encampment for Gaza.
“We are demanding that the University of Cambridge divest from all its involvement, in Israeli apartheid, and the genocide of the Palestinian people”. Cambridge University students launched their encampment for Gaza early on Monday morning and said they have been met with support from the local community.
The student showed us a banner of the group he is a part of at the encampment, Cambridge Jews for Justice in Palestine, and said, “there's many of us here in Cambridge. Jews who believe that it is our duty, to speak out against the genocide that is being, carried out in our name, by the Israeli state”

As a much older person , I thought my generation had permanently screwed up the world, but this young lad, a beacon of hope, gives me hope.
And as young generation, we love to learn from old generation, if at least the truth is revealed from what has really happened in the past and how jews took the land from its reall people, your voice as an old generation is important and you need to rise it high, don't hide and share the stories to the new generations.

I have been on several marches in London. On one of the marches I was with the Jewish bloc. I was very proud and honoured to be marching alongside them.
Every time I am there, I always meet Rabbi Beck and speak with him. He is so nice. All the marches are on saturdays which is a sabbath. He and his colleagues are forbidden to touch modern machines including bus or train on Sabbath so he and his colleagues walk hours and hours to join the marches

I find it fascinating as a non religious person to listen to people like this lad who is Jewish but stands for Palestinian freedom. I keep hearing from the general media that these protests are anti-semitic and jew hating, but I never hear the other side until I go searching independent media. I am so glad that this media exists and that there are wonderful young people brave decent and honourable who wish to make the world a better place.
I have always thought that folks that are religious should be kind, loving and welcoming (which seems very lacking in the world just now) and it is refreshing to see some who show the good qualities that religion should encourage.
