- The free VPN update for the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is HERE! So what is it? BUY PIXEL 7 HERE! shop-links.co/ciwrUtTgFjq (affiliate)
The VPN for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is free, and it's pretty cool! VPN stsands for Virtual Private Network, and it's designed to protect your identity, location, and informatino while you're on the internet on your phone. You could already pay for the VPN service with Google's Google One subscription, but as an added bonus Google decided to toss it in for free for Pixel.7 and Pixel 7 Pro owners!

I assume Google isn't going to offer VPN features that allow you to violate their apps TOS, such as spoofing your location to watch a streaming service.
...or to sign up to CZcams Premium from a country with a lower monthly cost 🫣
Yes it's counter to their growth actually IMHO. They really can and should allow some freedom.
I only wanted a VPN for location spoofing so I can watch shows that aren't available in the U.S.
How disappointing.
Might be because if you could spoof then hackers can use vpn and not get tracked themselfs
This appears very similar to Google Fi's VPN service, except Google Fi's VPN doesn't include a quick tile to turn it on/off. Two taps in the Google Fi app does it though.
Hey I'm from Spain and I've been watching your videos ever since I got a Pixel 7. Thanks for your work, by far the most useful information amongst all the other channels I found so far.
Thank you very much. I’m glad you find the videos helpful. Thank you for watching
💯 Agreed
Wow. Vaya nivel de ingles q tienes. Un saludo para ti
Great video Adam! Those lights on the wall behind your head are too busy. Your background looked way better without them.
Awesome video👍 My Pixel 7 is out for delivery...this is the main reason I bought the Pixel 7
Thank you for taking the time to do this video
Sure thing. You’re welcome
Good timing. I just got my family the One subscription & have been trying this.
But so far, the VPN for me is poor quality. It gets disconnected a lot.
It's also kills WiFi calling if you're on a call when it tries to change networks/WiFi.
I cannot enabled it if I'm already using certain networks, (I have to disable wifi & enable the VPN over cellular first).
But hopefully this improves with more people using it.
Currently I'm floating between Google's & Proton VPN.
Thanks, and love the Blackberry cameo.
This was a helpful video. Thank you. Especially appreciate the walkthrough.
Sure thing, Josh! Glad it was helpful
Mines won't work via Google 1 app. When I turn it on, 8ts turns off and says make sure your signed in and subscription is up to date.
I can use VPN via Google Fi app.
Anyone else with this issue?
Works fine here, like all vpns it takes a fair bite of your bandwidth.
My understanding is that most people want a VPN to change their location especially passive tech users. This compiled with doubts that Google's own apps will be affected by the VPN, Im failing to see the point of this over any other VPN. Security?
What is the difference between Google 1 VPN and Google Fi VPN?
Clear the cache of google 1. Then force stop. This is for free availability
It is available once doing this. Thanks. Keep up the good work. PS great speeds too . 👌🍻🤪
I have VPN settings on my Pixel 6 (Android 13 beta program active), but I don't feel like messing with it to see if it works. I haven't paid for Google One.
Good day, Adam. My only issue is that this is setup to allow Google to data mine again. I like DuckDuckGo but in the free version you cannot change location here either. NordVPN you can in the paid app. Anyone know if Google's VPN will still work on Google Home wo turning off or snoozing???
I have app in my phone thts free nd u can change ur location,i live in US nd i can change into india too
If I do an internet speed test, I get less than half the speed with the VPN on. I can understand why it would be slower because it has an extra server to go through, but getting only half the speed is not good.
I have the 7 pro and it's saying I need to pay 9.99 a month for the VPN option... It's supposed to be free.. and I just updated my phone to the latest patch (Dec. 5th) I'd like to use the VPN but don't want to pay 9.99 a month for it.
If I go from Queens to Brooklyn would I have a issue because I changed location. 🤔 Great video very Informative
My google pixel 7 hasn't the vpn choice to the google one free version. I live in Greece.
Do you know why?
Nice video 👍
This was really helpful cause when I first used turned it on yesterday I noticed that the Android auto doesn't work if your using this Google VPN I didn't know that I could bypass it
Thanks for the video really helped me about VPN
You’re welcome. Glad I could help.
Is that a blackberry key 1 in the background?! Wow!
How do you know if an app is being affected by your VPN?
Can it hide your location and device from a dynamic QR code scan?
Yet to receive in Canada
Update (Received)
Don't see it on my end. I guess it'll show up on Monday. I'm on beta A13. 1 (Pixel 7 Pro, here in Canada).
It should hopefully be there soon. It seems not to be rolling out all at once.
Thanks for the informative video.
You’re very welcome!
Still tracks you website history when vpn is on
I got it with Google Fi I'm looking forward to having it available on the phone
I dont see it on my pixel 7 pro. Is it because it's locked to T-mobile?
Anyone who got the VPN on a carrier phone?
It should show up soon. It’s rolling out and started a few days ago. I didnt get it until last night.
Hey is there a way to get this feature in India
Will my ISP know that I am pulling torrents when on Pixel 7 VPN?
vpn isn't available in your current location
Help ??
When I use Google's VPN I only get 1/10th of my full network speed. I just can't bring myself to use it because of that
I had to bypass VPN for Android Auto because of issues, makes sense not to use it for that.
does it slow down the internet speed ?
Not got it yet I am in the UK
Any idea how much this VPN affects battery life? My Nord VPN does have a noticeable amount of battery drain (probably when I'm out and I'm switching between cell towers)
Try removing the current VPN profile and reboot the phone. Afterwards, open the Nord VPN app and it asks to install VPN profile and also make sure the VPN profile is to not set always on VPN which drains battery
Used it all day today and my battery has been fine, dare I say it's better after this recent feature update.
Will this help me circumvent my reddit account bans?
I don't have it yet on mine
Only thing you need the 2 TB plan costing £79/year or £7.99/month so how is it free?
Maybe you haven't gotten it yet. It's supposed to be free even without that plan.
I have a Pixel 7 Pro, but it does not have a Free VPN. It only shows Premium. Don't know why.
I got mine a few days ago (Europe)
Still doesn't show as a free option for me?
me either
Mine just showed up yesterday. It may take a few days to roll out.
Could you watch, and download movies, shows, etc? Without getting in trouble if you know what I mean?? 👀👀
Can I avoid isp trolling from this vpn?
how is it free vpn when google one is not free?
Allow or Don't Allow notifications for VPN? Does it matter?
Not sure it matters much. I would enable it. If it bugs you then you can always turn off notifications.
If you all notice, even when using Google VPN and watching CZcams or any website you will still get the same local ads !!!.......hmmmmm , interesting.
So the free Google VPN is useful when using public WiFi, like at a hotel?
Any public WiFi so yes hotel included
@@half-breed I'll keep that in mind when I go on vacation. Thanks!
Bro how to select location?i wana change my location in VPN
You cannot change the location. The
You can't - this 'feature' is therefore basically useless
The only possible reason why I might use a VPN is to watch live TV/streaming on foreign channels - this google VPN feature is therefore basically useless to me, so I'm switching it off.
Is this free service really only available in the country in which the phone is sold? That's what I heard. Yet another feature everyone can't enjoy?
Not sure about that. I know it’s not available in India or Singapore.
How do you get it? I don't have it on the Google one app.
It's only included with the top-tier premium plan. The 2TB of storage.
Or if you buy a Pixel 7.
@@Sassquatch0 I have the Pixel 7 Pro. It's only for Pixel 7?
@@jonegroove I believe its both, the 7 and the 7 pro
@@SAM-hd7jv is there a system update that will give access to this?
@@jonegroove I believe it will come through automatically as long as you have Google One on your phone....
will this be available in 6a ?
For free, no. But if you pay for the monthly membership with google one you can get it
@@TechOdyssey pixel 7 has free vpn , right
You have to upgrade to 2tb?
You, like me, have not gotten the update yet assuming you have a 7 or 7 pro
@@wafarris this update isn't a system update. It's within the Google One app itself. There should be a VPN icon to get started with it.
@@volcalstone i understand. Pegados update isn't the right word but somehow on some phones it shows it available as a non-premium service and, for some, only as a premium service as of right now.
😊👍👍
Google's "NEW" VPN seems like another way to collect more of your data and smartphone usage habits.
Except it's not.
I apologize for my insensitivity Adam, and I deleted my original comment in an effort to show you that it was not my intent to be disrespectful. 😔
It’s ok. Thanks. I appreciate it.
u.u sad i won't have it
Not got mine yet 😭
Me either
You could've used a simple screen recorder
Yes. And then it would be cropped and smaller on the screen.
@@TechOdyssey yes. Good luck to your channel
@@vikramshankar3144 thank you.
$9.99 Pixel 6 Pro .. MEH ...
Don't think it's for the 6, only the 7 right now.
