Tsui Chik (Li) is a librarian who leads a quiet, unassuming life - or, at least, that’s what he wants people to believe. In truth, he was once a member of the 701 Squad, a group of elite combatants produced by a failed super-soldier project. In kind with his former comrades, his central nervous system has been altered to render him impervious to pain. When several of his fellow test subjects resurface and embark on a crimewave under the leadership of their former commander Hung Kuk (Patrick Lung), Tsui is forced to use his extraordinary abilities once more. Donning a costume, he sets out to face his past - as the vigilante known as the Black Mask.

The Mei Ah DVD really looks to have the better colors. I'm still going to have to get the Blu-ray though.
I still think the DVD has better colors, but the quality of the DVD is really bad.
I actually had a HK Blu-ray of this in my collection a while back and it had good video quality. I had to turn up the volume when I ripped it though cause the audio was too low. Even if the colors don't pop as much on the new remaster I think it may work given the gritty nature of the movie. I can deal with different color grading as long as the picture and sound are well done.

I watched the new trailer on Eureka's YT channel and it looks awesome. I'm excited to pick it up. If only they could restock She Shoots Straight so I don't need to pollute the planet with multiple shipments when they inevitability restock it this year. The MVD partnership is great, but as a Canadian it's still cheaper to import from UK than to buy from MVD lol
I liked the US cut from your shots. I would have liked it with the dvd color though. 👍🏻
BTW this was cheaper for me buying this directly from Eureka in the US.
