I love the more popping colors and contrast from Carlotta. But also the straight colors of criterion. Hard to say in this comparison. Both are great❤
The Carlotta release is too warm on the colors. Some of it looks fine on Executioners but Criterion wins this one for me. Also, I'm really happy this classic finally got a remaster after all these years.
I had a chance to see the heroic trio at the movie theater. It was always a dull color movie.
I don’t like the Carlota transfer. It’s way too orange! Go with the Criterion blu ray. I just got it last week and watched both Friday night. I think I enjoy Executioners more. Thank for the video. It’s nice to show the difference in picture quality for people interested in the movies
As I looked at the Criterion one more, I started to prefer it a bit. Both have their pros and cons, however.
I think criterion did a great job, balancing out the colors. 👍👍
Hmm, tough call - I think the Criterion looks more "filmic" overall, but there are shots where the richer colours of the Carlotta look gorgeous whilst the Criterion is a bit flat.
Any difference on visible wires? The remastered DVDs suffered a lot from them, when they were mostly obscured by the grading as much as the lack of resolution on the earlier releases.
They are very apparent now, you will see those bad boys. The thing is the Carlotta one is the intended look lol. According to the people who worked on it. I really don’t care I go with what looks good. Both look great.
The music is pretty awesome lol
