Follow us as we renovate the building around our old bread oven and other buildings on the farm with natural materials, re-building and planting the vegetable patch after the fire destroyed it all.
Building the goats new sheds, our days with the goats, births and milking them.
Molly making soaps and many types of cheeses from our own goats milk.
Watch what we grow, getting water back on the farm, daily farm life and chores, visiting local sites and showing you the local area.
Plus lots more......... and the milking goats!

Oh, how I love your paradise and want to buy my own farm in Portugal.
What a lovely farm you have. You and your family have worked very hard.
Thank you!
We saw you on Cindy's channel, we retired to fundao 4 years ago and absolutely love it, we have a farm in souta de casa
Sounds great!
Quite a paradise you have there. Amazing video. I really enjoyed it very much. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I am truly sorry you had that fire …
Your farm is so lovely thank you for the walk around …🙏☘️😘
Thank you!🙂
your quinta looks stunning. Congratulations!
Thank you so much!
That s an amazing place..thanks for sharing. And soooo huge
Thanks for visiting HANS, you have only seen a part of the farm so far 🙂
Loved the tour, can't wait to travel around Portugal!
you will love it, beautiful scenery and amazing places to visit....... lets hope this virus finishes soon so you can go on your travels. stay safe and well
just found you, great stuff mate. that old lister is mouth-watering.
Thanks and welcome🙂
I've seen your interview with Cindy Vine and I think you have an amazing story to tell. I noticed in a comment that you said you had only mentioned 5% of the problems you have encountered. I think a lot of people would like to hear about your experiences, good and bad, as we can all learn from them, so I hope you will cover those topics in other videos. Don't worry, by the way, about sounding 'negative' as it is quite plain that you are a 'glass-half-full' type of people and have a dogged pioneering enthusiasm to succeed. Great to see you are recovering from the terrible fire. Best wishes for the future :)
Thanks for the comment Mike, is nice to know people can see we are not just complaining. We are a bit slow on uploading videos at the moment. we have a lot of work to do for the goats and i am one computer screen down that i use for editing, makes it very hard to edit decent videos.
Subscribed after seeing you and your daughter on cindys vlog. Beautiful farm very green love looking at the olive trees. Be nice to see more of the farm on part 2. Many thanks.
Part two coming soon! thanks for Subscribing
Beautiful farm. I hope your situation improves from now on. Great job. I'm looking forward to see your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, glad you like the videos
Thank you for sharing your farm, after 7 years experience you have much to teach the many people starting new. Keep up the videos :-)
Hi Andrew, we hope if anybody has any questions they will ask and that we can help them, we are not experts on living out here but have learnt a lot of things, often the hard way.
Thanks so much for the kind comment and for watching, don't forget to Subscribe so not to miss our new videos. stay safe🙂
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife I'm deciding what bushcutter and chainsaw to buy. It's hard to find the same choice and info online for purchases in Portugal.
@@andrewjames3966 It really depends on what you need to clean and how much also how big your average tree is. There are lots of places around, if you need more advice just ask.
Spectacular farm! Keep making videos.
had lots to do on the farm but been taking video, hopefully start posting videos again in a few days. Thanks for the comments and for watching
Great beautiful farm
How big is ur loverly property

You have a very beautiful place. It was sad to hear about the fire.
And yes, I also found you through Cindy's channel. Would love to come and visit sometime next year.
Thank you, a lot of work but is worth it........... let us know when you are in the area!
What an amazing place you have, i could only hope to own something like that, can imagine it's a lot of work.
Thanks john, yes it is definitely a lot of work 🙂
Your farm is so green!
Getting browner by the day now, we are lucky to have a lot of water here......... soon Part 2 will show that side and explain about the fire.
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife You do have a lot of water!

great job there in 32 acres of beautifull land ,apreciate what you both are doing in my country pitty about the fire your place have hard winters with heavy rain and cold but dry and high temperatures during the summer wish you the best luck for the future .....by the way im 60yold i work in automobile parts i saw in your video the Lister motor to fix and you payed about 40euros for a fan belt to the tractor im able to teach you where you can get it much more cheaper .....best for you big hug
Ola Jaime, thank you for the very kind message!
I did not pay 40 euros, that was the price at the tractor shop. i got one in a car parts shop for 12 euros. But the man gave me one that is a bit too big , i need to buy another.
I owned a garage in England for 25 years but if you can tell me something i would be very grateful.
Soon we will post the video of the Lister pump working.
Thank you for watching, Um Abraco🙂
About the belt you mean the perimeter i see ok i work in parts about 40years and please if i could help anyway just ask .........you worked in a garage you understand goats how to make cheese ,harvest and even about olive trees i think there arent in england.......anyway well done there your reality is my dream and still working on that!!!!!HUG from Lisbon and wellcome here anytime
Wow, fantastic. Looks like you have an awesome farm, with a lot of work to keep you busy for a long, long time.
It sure is
Lovely farm. And looks like a lot of work still.I hope it all goes well for you.

Hard work but worth every moment thanks for watching
Wow best farm...and you seem to be a jack of all trades...like a farmer
Thanks! Dan Ziffle!...... Always something to do or fix :-)
U hav alot alot of daily work each day.
Your Life is the subject of another Video.
Hi Dan, sorry didn't understand your comment😀.... do you mean make another video about our life here?
Wow! Quite a farm you have. How longhave you been here? Lots of work but so rewarding !
Hi Jeanne, We have been here 7 years now and yes always something to do on the farm. Thanks for the comment!
Omg ur place is amazing... do you accept ppl to come and help you as i would like to have my own farm and would like to learn how to manage a farm!!! Its absolutley amazin ur a lucky man!!!
Thank you for the comments, yes we do except people here, we have a subscriber coming to stay with us in a few weeks. we have a page on "workaway" website.
What a wonderful bit of land, going off of what was discussed in your video with Cindy have you thought maybe of throwing up some basic wooden shacks/cabins with an outdoor shower etc and advertising on AirBnB? You'd be surprised what people will pay for something basic, but in nature, may help you a little with income for the new perimiter fence etc etc? For example, there is a guy in the highlands of Scotland that rents a CLS board shack with a bed in it for at the cheapest £50 a night and it always seems to be booked, maybe something along those lines could be an income stream for you?! - All the best, Stu.
Hi we bought the farm with the intention of tourism. but after loosing a lot of our money to bad builders and corrupt people from the council we decided against it. the other problem is any structures even wooden need planning permission and to run a legal tourist site requires thousands of euros to meet regulations, fire points etc. sadly 99% of the tourist places here are run illegally.
we have the goats now and will sell the milk to help our income.
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife what about tents? I would pay for an opportunity to camp in such serenity. You have a beautiful farm and have done an amazing job maintaining it inspite of your misfortunes. Sending you peace.
Hello, I subscribed after hearing your heart wrenching stories on Cindy's channel.
Me and my partner are in Fundao for a week as of today, looking at land and land with ruins, like what cindy has just bought.
Loved the tour, unfortunately are budget won't stretch to 13 ha! Your farm is a beast!
Are you on the Zezere?
Much love to you and your family. Peace
HI there and thanks for Subscribing!, we are overwhelmed by the responses and is encouraging us to make more and more videos!
Good luck on your search and i am sure you will find a place you fall in love with.
The river comes from the Barragem do Pisco.
best of luck to you !
wow, very informative. that fire must have been very scary.
It was very scary, the farm was ploughed but we still lost half of it, we will be doing a video about the fire very soon. thanks for the comment🙂
I always wondered what steps would happen in such a situation. Sad to hear but would be very interesting to hear about the experience.
@Gary O' Connor We will be doing Part2 very soon, will show video and photos of the day after the fire and today as it is starting to recover......... why not subscribe so you dont miss it.
Thanks for the comment
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife I subscribed earlier, looking forward to your future videos
Looks amazing !
13 hectares is huge indeed (there go all of us proving we truly are Europeans :D ). And definitely a lot of work.
Have you considered using animals to do part of the work? Pigs and goat can help you clear up bushy areas. Sure, you still have to clear part of it so you can put some electric fencing/netting in place) but then they get to do what they love doing (eat and frolic) while cleaning up the undergrowth and making it more accessible for you again.
Hi, yes we had 16 sheep, 5 pigs, they cleaned a massive amount of land for us, if you check out our Facebook page, link in description. then you will see some of our animals we had.
Saw you in cindy's. Pray to God that you will prosper and have abundance of harvest in your future undertakings. Be blessed.
Heard that there's "blood orange" variety. How about some of those. It's real expensive in US.
Thanks for checking us out, We have over 20 large orange trees on the farm but i don't think we have blood oranges, did you mean to sell them to America?
have a great day
Much better now without the background music 🎶.
I am really enjoying your films as we are about to embark on a similar venture too . We are looking to rent somewhere nr CB so we can get proper look at properties. I was there last week but not yet decided on anything. Have you thought about creating a mountain bike trail through your land ? Chrissi & Mark
Hi, Glad you like the videos!
There are signposted walks and cycle routes around and close to our farm. Fires around us again tonight!
We have a facebook page, might be able to help you renting somewhere if you need some help.
Beautiful property, lots of work to do, but a great project. Do you mind if I ask what you paid for it?
Hi, It sure is a big project and always something to do. Sorry i am not prepared to say what i paid for our farm.
Thanks for watching.
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife Thars fine I understand 🙂
Hi 🙋🏻
Hello 😊
eucalyptus is really a big problem in Portugal. Very profitable for some, but a disaster for the country.
Where were the burnt areas of your farm? Would be interesting to see the result of the wild fire.
Hi June, there is a video about the fire here czcams.com/video/RalrKdhZBH0/video.html
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife thank you for the link, my daughter moved 5 months ago to Portugal and I plan to visit this June, she knew about the fires but your video revealed the true extent of it and how it affects people
Very nice , which variety of olive do you have is it Galega?
Yes we Galega predominantly but many trees had one half of the tree grafted by the original guys here over 100 yrs ago, one half has Galega and the other have another variety. we have olives varieties for storing and eating and the trees that are grafted give us the perfect balance of green olives and more ripened olives which is what gives us such a good oil............ Later in the year we will be doing "how to" olive tree pruning videos and show us harvesting them.
Thats very interesting ive learnt something @@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife
Nice farm how many hectares?
Never mind just saw on the video:)
Olá. A tua quinta é muito gira, onde fica situada? Não consegui identificar a zona.
Olá, Estamos perto de Castelo Branco ............ Nossa página no Facebook está na descrição, tem informações e fotos de localização. obrigado!
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife Olga Dias alias Bluecat OSD lol
Next to the Barragem do Pisco, Sao Vicente da Beira. :-)
Your music is so loud that it is hard to hear what you are saying. I really want to hear your description of your tour.
Hi Karen, yes sorry it was one of our first videos and only had a mobile phone at the time.
U dont need tp use the tractor fpr dangerous areas
Buy twp cpws and plough
Any Apricots??
I planted 2 a year before the fire and they didnt make it but we have lots of other fruit and nut trees that were already on the farm
Do you know how can I find out a farm with stone house
Do you mean a castle?
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife well ,it a little castle or a big house
@@vastworld-mp8oc There are lots of estate agents online where you can view properties and farms.
Pipa = kite(Brasil). Pipa em Portugal significa provavelmente barril 🍷🛢
Thank you Maria, we did call it 'source of the barrel' when we fist came but then after seeing so many kites and eagles here we thought we were wrong.
We will change it back now, thank you for the great information 🙏🙂
how much did you pay for this farm sir?
What it is location??
We are in central Portugal.
Thank you for watching
I am looking for a small cheap house in the countryside, with a piece of land and a stream of water running through the property or bordering it. It should also be close to the ocean (within 100km distance).for low price
@@petrutaionel6986 we are an hour and a half from the sea. Water is very important!
We have 5 natural springs, a fonte, a water mine and 1/2 a kilometer of river that flows all year. we are very lucky.
Good luck on your search
So sorry Mate, the music is drowning out your voice ! the Pictures show a beautiful land, but the history is getting lost. I want to check in again to a different video.
Yes it wasn't great but was one of our first, thanks for checking us out 👍
Here is your stalker again 😜
Why the music?
The force was strong but the audio was terrible 😆
This was one of our first videos and shot with a phone so had lots of wind noise.
i want can i plz
Hi again hope you are well, I commented a while ago. I have an olive farm that I need help/advice with, I am now in portugal and dont know how to proceed, I have 200 plus galega olives trees. would you be interested in helping or advising , we can agree a price for your time and effort, regards Martin and Kathryn.
Hi, you can talk with the local olive press, they will pay you for your oil after they sample it for quality. you wont get the best price but better than going on the ground. Sadly we hardly have enough time for all the work here on our farm to help you guys, we have over 500 trees. you can also get help from local associations that will come and take your olives and you get a cut of the profits but for us it is not worth it, they take more than you get. We sell ours locally and online but takes a lot to set it up. hope that is helpful to you guys. thanks for watching and for the comment
I love watching this but the music stops me listening it too loud I cannot hear what you are saying such a shame
Hi Max, thanks for the feedback, you are right. It was one of our first videos made with a mobile telephone, we now have proper microphones and a 4K camera. Stay safe 🙂
I can’t actually hear you over the music
Yes sorry the main video was done with an old microphone......... even editing it was the best i could get......... we have new filming equipment now and a 4K camera so please subscribe to not miss the new content. Merry Christmas to you. 🙂

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THAT EFFING TORTUOUS MUSIC DROWNING OUT THE NARRATION?
Was one of our first videos made with a mobile phone, the music was to hide the terrible wind noise.
I find it a but irritating listening to you and having the music in the background. Just saying.
Yes It was our first video and was only recorded with a phone 🙂
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife I understand 👍. I am working through all your videos, they're Wonderful.
