Jonathan Richman is singular. If Andy Kaufman and Adam Sandler had a love child, who later formed a band, it would be Richman. His voice sounds so sad, his lyrics are so whimsical. He is so punk rock, his songwriting is so traditional.

He's feeling every word. If I remember from 'There's something about Jonathan' this is a song of real longing for his estranged partner. He's a strange bird for sure, but some incredible tunes, and disarming sincerity.
