    Always wondered why Doug and Stu kept working unless they just enjoyed it. After renegotiated contracts didn't need the money. Doug played with Steve Miller for short time.

    Doug Clifford has to be one the most boring, uninspired drummers on the planet. He should have thanked John Fogerty for any success he might’ve had.

      He might not be a virtuoso kind of drummer, but he really knows how to drive a tune with his powerful clean drumming

      @redacted2275 Před rokem

      John is one of the most boring guitarists on the planet. 🤷‍♂️ Great songwriter, but a boring guitarist nonetheless. So uninspired that he gave reasonable doubt for Fantasy to sue him for plagiarized himself, for sounding the same.
      CCR is not the most skilled or inspired band of the 70s, if you are looking for that in their sound, you're an imbeciIe. Just enjoy it.

    • @tmo7734
      @tmo7734 Před rokem +1

      @@redacted2275 If you’re going to post a comment, be accurate. Like many in his position, Saul Zaentz was a notorious record industry asshole. You know who won the Fantasy records/Fogerty lawsuit? Fogerty. So much for plagiarism…
      Incidentally, if you’ve heard Chuck Berry, he made entire career applying 3 double-stop chords over the same melody. Again, again, and again.

    • @djmaxx7553
      @djmaxx7553 Před 9 měsíci +2

      And John fogerty should have thanked Doug Clifford for being the absolutely perfect timekeeping drummer that he needed for the CCR sound.
      Don't you think John fogerty would have fired Doug if he thought he was that boring and uninspired a drummer?
      Sounds like the old lame tired comments regarding Ringo as a drummer for The Beatles.
      Clearly those two bands had the perfect drummers for their success.
