Definitely a novelty item when an 8 piece bucket is actually cheaper than two pieces of chicken with a slice of cheese and bacon. Love your reviews, always an honest approach.
Yes, especially if you brought the 8 piece bucket home. Just fry some bacon and add cheese and you'd have four sandwiches.
Here its not. The double down is 9.40$ and the 8 pieces bucket is 15.20$
Granted there is no bacon, the double down is just 2 strips over a piece of cheese with mayo. But still its almost half price of the bucket
@@CheesyCore Must be something to do with the product demand in your area. I was looking at the prices in different stores across the US and it seems the double-down is more expensive in a majority of stores. Same rule applies here in the UK, London specifically. We don't even have an 8 piece bucket available, the sizes go 6, 10 or 14. Mini fillets come in 4, 8 or 12 pieces, same as hot wings. It's peculiar how demand shapes even the portions available.

I know it's probably been said many times, but I'd just like to express my appreciation for ReviewBrah just doing his thing in a sincere, real manner. No "branding". No calls to action. Just a guy who likes reviewing food, and offering some dry humor to accompany it.
In a way, ReviewBrah's channel is the meal we all came here to enjoy. Just a pleasant, warm experience. 👍

His face and finger maneuver are the logo and visual design, the mission of "food review" is clearly stated, and, at the start of each food review video, he maintains nearly the exact same tone of voice every time he says the lines. ReviewBrah, ReportoftheWeek, Running on Empty, are all names or terms that clearly distinguish this gentleman's product from other food review services, along with the design and symbol of his finger maneuver. TheReportOfTheWeek is an incredible artist and his eye for really analyzing the meals opens up a deep introspective look into the man himself. Words such as good or tasty aren't enough to satisfy his curiosity. Watching a TheReportOfTheWeek video is like reading a scientific essay at times, yet the presentation is done so in a way to walk the layman foodie through the world of culinary art without talking down to them or making them feel out of place. For those of us with a more refined palette, to hear the things spoken in so a eloquent manner not only builds up our own vocabularies but reminds us that we are not alone in our enjoyment of exquisite meals.

I got three of these yesterday, two for me and one for someone else. I could only finish one and some fries, then I passed out for about four hours. The things are huge, way bigger than expected. It was great.

Yeah, that price is insane! I could cook a meal for my whole family for that price and use high quality ingredients.

Out of all the food review channels, this one seems the most genuine and really stands out in comparison to others who just eat the latest menu item from fast food joints.
This madlad is wearing a suit to enjoy a fast food sandwich with two chicken patties in lue of bread. A true man of class indeed.

Yea almost twelve dollars for a sandwich is outrageous. Like 5 years ago you could get two meals for that price.

I got one last night. I loved it back when it was out before and this one did not disappoint. It is pricy but it’s delicious. I feel like this one is bigger than it used to be too but I may be misremembering. Either way I’ll definitely get it at least once more before it’s gone.
Not gonna lie I loved this item when it first hit. KFC never fails to taste delicious if you go to the right one.
KFC original recipe chicken, on a good day, at a good location, blows anything at Popeyes out of the water

I think these were about 7-8$ last time I had one which was around 2012. It’s been a decade in Texas. Im hyped! Had no idea these were back and hopefully they’ll keep it this time. They’re so good. Im gonna get 2 of em tomorrow but it’ll probably be the only thing I eat tomorrow since these are like 1200 calories each lol. I figure these’ll put me about 400 calories over tomorrow but I’ll burn at least that at the gym.

I remember trying the original - I did not remember it looking that good and I remembered it being just so unbelievably salty that I couldn't eat it.
Everything from there makes me feel like im dying for water an hour after i eat it! But i do love me some kfc. The new spicy wrap is so good

I had one yesterday and it was delicious!! Bacon crispy, chicken filets crispy and juicy, cheese melty, overall a banger but for almost $10 bucks it should be.

I want to try the Bacon and Cheese Chicken sandwich next, its cheaper. I paid $9.73 for my Double Down in DFW, Texas.

My local take out place made a knock off version of this last year minus the bacon and mayo. I never seem to eat it as intended 😂 I always end up splitting it and making it into 2 sandwiches 😅 I mean ours is just chicken and a ton of cheese in between. Anyway I used to find it cheaper ordering that and supplying my own buns etc... Than just ordering a typical burger or sandwich

It looks even better than when I tried it back in the 2000's. Tried it on a whim cause I thought it was the coolest thing. It was delicious 😋. This wasn't originally suppose to be put out as an option but was so well received they decided to release it and people loved it. 😀

I can tell you the one I just ate also had pickle slices as well, which cut the greasiness in a welcome fashion. Devils Backbone Brewery Schwarzbier was not a good pairing. however.

I'd say that cooking your own version is cheaper, but with these inflation prices....
KFC potato salad was my favorite. And chicken fingers dipped in buffalo (they don't do it anymore). Those are the items that would get me back to a KFC

Probably $15 here in Canada, and as for me they need to make a spicy chicken(like Wendys). I however would omit any sauce because I don't like mayo, I would get BBQ, or if they slapped gravy upon it, and in Canada maybe add our Canadian Bacon(Peameal variety)

I bought two of these last week. They are “only” $8.99 where I live and even at that price (and as delicious as they are) I thought they were a buck or two overpriced. I can’t (and wouldn’t) imagine paying $11+ for one. Also, the spicy version is much better than the regular.
