DING! 8-0 btw, I was hoping for a more positive review of kfc, but they just appear to keep plumbing ever deeper depths. If there's a Popeye's near, why even bother.
🙂 Let me reiterate if you a KFC near you and the farther KFC has a better cook....where would you go?....Many times I will go farther where I know the cooks are better. It's a shame I have to drive farther but not all cooks are created equal.😊
I stopped going to or supporting KFC a long time ago. Sadly, they can't seem to redeem themselves. They only care about profits.

ReviewBrah is the only food reviewer on the internet to use such excellent and pointed descriptions. I've never heard another reviewer use the word "discordant" to describe an entree.
The Colonel wouldn't "put you in your place". He would agree with you. After he was forced out of KFC he told anyone who would listen how bad the product had become. To the point that KFC sued him.

I work near a KFC and go there to stress eat sometimes.
Recently I got chicken that tasted fishy and kinda gamey, which is apparently an indication that it’s going bad or wasn’t washed/handled properly. That was pretty disgusting.

a tortilla with a chicken tender and some random crap dumped into it is the kind of thing I've made in the kitchen at 3am while high and deliriously tired. the absolute GALL of fast food these days to sell this junk for what they do.
I thought the same thing, looks like something i'd throw together in a rush with zero effort or thought. Slapping a piece of chicken in a wrap and squirting sauce on it... It's sad because fast food restaurants in other countries try much harder and are often cheaper.

I freak out every time someone knocks on the door. I tell my wife someone is here, and I go hide in the bedroom. LOL
Between that bag, the cheese being on a wrap that shouldn't have it, and somehow even messing up a drink... a lot of the issues here seem to stem from a badly managed KFC.
I believe they have all been given stick orders from above to feed us all nothing but crap messy crap at that. i'm so over all of them.

It's endemic. The one in my area is over-priced, constantly "outa my chicken" (verbatim from the manager), and on top of that manages to do the absolute worst possible job with what little they're not out of.

I might have an explanation for the lack of cheese flavor within all the discord of the mac & cheese wrap.
I never learned the proper name of this culinary phenomenon, but I first discovered it as a kid when eating mac & cheese with cut-up hot dogs. When you eat something of a particularly "strong" salty taste like hot dogs (however natural or artificial it may be), anything with a "relatively weaker" salty taste like the mac & cheese will be perceived like having no salty taste at all if you eat it without cleansing your palate in between. The same thing happens with sweet things like a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and chocolate milk - you eat the sandwich first, then the milk doesn't taste sweet at all because the sandwich tasted super sweet and the milk didn't have enough sweetness to overpower it. Two fruits like strawberries and apples - if the apple is sweeter and eaten first, all you'll perceive from the strawberries is the tartness and maybe a bit of sour, but if the strawberries are sweeter and eaten first the apple will taste like bland cardboard mush.
Hot sauce that's only about heat and not enough about spice and flavor certainly doesn't help matters.
So glad you're still doing what you're doing man! Your videos are always a joy to watch. I used to loved KFC, especially their popcorn chicken because I loved the crunchy bits at the bottom of the box, but they stopped doing them a while ago. :(

I don't even go to the KFC by my house anymore. The last three times I went I was told they didn't have enough chicken made to fill an 8 piece order. SMH
This is my first time watching this guy and I love how he always calm and collected and even when there is mistakes he just brushes it off saying “it what it is” or “everyone makes mistakes”. Just such a genuine great guy

I remember how good KFC was as a kid back in the 70's. This garbage they are putting out nowadays is nowhere near as good. This encouraged me to purchase a home Pressure Fryer off eBay. And down the Original KFC recipe rabbit hole I went! After a few years of experimenting and recipe tweaking, I have an extremely close copycat. I think ReviewBrah would approve of.

Having to smell a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken during the car ride home was torturous. 😂
The last straw for me was when they got rid of Potato Wedges. I thought that was one of the few things that still made them unique. Instead, they decided to replace them with ridiculously salty french fries.
Other things I missed from KFC growing up: Popcorn Chicken II, the ORIGINAL Chicken Little, Spicy Buffalo Strips, Skinless Chicken, Triple Crunch Zinger, Original Recipe Chicken Sandwich, Original Recipe Boneless Fillet thingy, Corn on the Cob, when Biscuits were 2 for $1.
I worked there when we made the coleslaw by hand and marinaded the chicken and still had the Rotisserie Gold... after it was altered and everything prefabricated it sucked and it used to have "keel" center breasts and "rib breasts" instead of these stupid
Stupid 8pc bucket crap instead of the 9pc classic bucket or meals... downhill from there

What I hate about modern KFC is that it used to be about tasting incredible for a cheap family meal that anyone can get, but now it's cheap and inedible. A lot of these once affordable fast food chains are starting to taste like they're prices and are no longer a steal to buy from them. Hell there prices aren't even good anymore either they cost nearly as much as an average restaurant meal for something that tastes lesser than a 99 cent frozen food.
Well KFC and Taco Bell are both ran by same corporation.... Even in some places they share a building together. I've stopped eating both places bc of how their price to quality have gotten ridiculous. Can spend just a little more and get good tasting food at an actual restaurant
mcdonalds and wendays are decent, but only eat that stuff once every other month, or 3 months.
Burger King here is so expensive now. We used to go just because it was so cheap.
KFC was always expensive for fast food but was worth it. Haven’t been in years but it was a greasy yet at the same time dried up mess and have no desire to ever go back.
I’m now a Popeyes guy forever.
My local KFC now charges $20.99 for 8 pieces of chicken. Ridiculous!

I used to work at KFC. It grossed me out. Contamination everywhere and the washing practices of my co workers used to disgust me. The dishwasher lady would have the dishes they use for the sides in the same sink I was using to fill the raw chicken dredge buckets (two different sinks). The other cooks would have the dredge baskets all over the floor and would never clean them. Everytime I came in, the breading tables were completely filthy and caked up from the entire day's shift. They are one of those places that has an insanely high demand for the food, more than people know until they actually work there, but there is no support for that demand. You just run out of chicken left and right and they can't afford to pay or even employ cooks.
Our one KFC in our city for a year or so is run exactly as yours was. Not speaking of the cleanliness as I haven't heard but running out of chicken by mid afternoon or 5pm is definitely a "thing" and keeping employees and having enough staff isn't something management care about. It's such a bummer. In the old days, 1970's, the chicken was delicious and not that greasy. Oh well. Not the only game in town.

I worked there for maybe 2 months a few years ago. I was in at 8 am and the night crew would leave all the dishes to "soak" overnight because we didnt have a dishwasher. So i'd always come in to a fucking mound of dishes to do, not to mention having to setup everything else because the assist GM was the most useless worker I've ever seen and would often not even get there until 8:30 so I couldn't even get inside on time. Then she would just sit in the office even if I had only been there for a few days and barely had a clue to what I was doing lol. Then other coworkers would get mad when I didn't do something exactly to how it was "supposed" to be done even though I really didnt have much training at all. One morning it was after 8:30 and the assist GM still wasn't there. I literally said screw this and went across the street to another restaurant and talked to the manager there and got hired there.

It's the owners that are probably stupid! Why are they trying to come out with some new items all the time; when they don't even have the chicken real good yet, like people say. If I was the owner, I would be there cooking the chicken all the time, and have someone right there next to me mastering it right with me. Excellence has gone to the birds these days. Pitiful. But they don't, they got some yoyo back there that thinks he knows what he's doing.😮

unrelated story: my mom worked for KFC in the 90s. one night it was 15 minutes to closing. A bus pulls into the parking lot and a guy gets out and asks her if they’re closed yet. she was nice and said no you can come on in. He was really happy about it. She seen him walk back out to the bus then suddenly the whole team of Harlem Globetrotters got off the bus. She told all of the staff to start dropping chicken and don’t stop until she told them to. they all got family meals. she made them all sign a bucket. she still has it.
Wow!! Now that’s a story! I bet she keeps those buckets as good as new lol

I remember when Kentucky Fried Chicken changed it's corporate name taking the "Fried" part out. They finally just abbreviated the name to "KFC" and since have been calling themselves KFC.

90s KFC was soooo good, I remember the chicken wasnt like rubber more flavor with seasoning. The potato wedges were better as well. I would say most fast good fell apart in the early 2000s

I don't know if it is just the KFC that is local to me, but my family and I stopped going to KFC because our chicken would be so greasy that it was inedible. And has anyone noticed how small the chickens are? I can buy chicken legs, thighs and breasts at the grocery store that are easily twice the size as the ones from KFC. I used to love their food, but not now.

We stopped going to KFC several years ago for the same reasons you did. The chicken is so small, it’s the size of pigeons and there’s more breading than chicken. We did like the cole slaw, but won’t go there for only that. Disappointing.

KFC is a shell of its former self. I hate the gravy and mash potatoes anymore. They almost had me back with the chicken sandwiches during that fast food chicken sandwich phase but it quickly went down hill when the chicken started being rubbery again.
@@goodnightmunchie also rubbery at times. Atleast chick fila is consistent and pop eyes has only ever been stringy when bad, not rubber.
You are correct. The chicken sandwich was fire in the beginning. It soon went downhill. So sad.
Same here with the mashed potatoes and gravy. That was one my favorite parts of eating there was dipping the biscuit into the potatoes n gravy. I quit eating there before the pandemic and even then the potatoes n gravy always had an off taste to them that made me not able to eat them. The gravy would have kinda a heat lamp burnt taste is best can describe it. Then biscuits were hard always. 10 years ago grabbing their 12 or 16 piece meals and getting their large sides were a stable in my household with having kids but haven't touched that in at minimum 5years ago now.
