If you're moving from an iPhone to an Android device, you can transfer your account information, profile photo, individual chats, group chats, chat history, media and settings. You can’t transfer your call history or display name.
How to migrate from iPhone to Android 12 and above
You must have:
- Google migrate tool installed on your new device
- WhatsApp iOS version 2.21.160.17 or above on your old device
- WhatsApp Android version 2.21.16.20 or above on your new device after the transfer is complete
- USB-C to Lightning cable or equivalent adapters
- Use the same phone number on the new device as the old device
-Your new Android device must be factory new or reset to factory settings
To transfer your WhatsApp chat history from an iPhone to an Android:
- Make sure your Google Pixel or Android 12 device is factory reset.
- Go through the New Device Setup and Skip restoring data to the device when prompted.
- Tap Finish setting up your Pixel or Android OS 12 device in your notifications.
- Follow this process to complete data transfer from iPhone to Android:
Have the iPhone unlocked.
- Connect the devices by cable on “Copy apps and data.”
- Tap Trust if the iPhone warning appears.
- Proceed through copying screens.
- Keep the iPhone unlocked during transfer.
- Use the iPhone camera app to scan QR code when prompted and open WhatsApp iOS to export data.
- Finish transfer and disconnect the cable.
- Open WhatsApp on your Pixel or Android OS 12 device and log on using the same phone number used on your old device.
- You’ll see the Google Migrate flow notification.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete.

How to get the verification code when the other account is in that step. In order to give the verification code, the process needs to be stopped on iphone.
This is incorrect and doesn't work. The next thing that pops up after entering code is adding a Google account and searching for backup which is obviously never there as it's in iCloud.
There is nothing else that comes up to transfer anything from iphone.

I have tried this several times but the import stops at 70% where it will just allow me to input my name and after that, no chat comes. The import will be at the background for hours without moving any further. When I check my Whatsapp data in settings, it shows that i have data 2GB of Whatsapp Data (Chats, Images, Videos) but nothing shows on app

I followed all the steps in the video but it did not work. I have iphone 13 and by default it backs up the whatsapp data to icloud account and not google drive. So when I try to restore data to my Samsung s21 plus the target device says " no back up found" .

Does not work with transferring from iPhone iOS 16.2 to pixel 6a running android 13. No QRcode appear on android during phone data copying, and no import option in WhatsApp after.
After many tries, I found out that I must disable "encrypt local backup" in iTunes. After which factory reset pixel and copy iphone data with cable works flawlessly.

Doesn't work, the process is wrong, it seems the comments are fake too. As soon as you verify the number on new device, WhatsApp is logged out from iPhone and there is no option to transfer.

For samsung phone it is not necessary that phone should be factory reset

same here, i did it 3 times, even with base factory settings (as it told in official WhatsApp FAQ), triple-cheked all versions - same. When starting WA on Android - it just wont import.

The only way to get the verification code is to exit out of the 'move to android' screen.
