(Free Method) Transfer WhatsApp Chats from iPhone to Android. WhatsApp has now rolled out this feature for those looking to transfer WhatsApp data from iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Similarly Android to iPhone WhatsApp transfers are not possible yet, however WhatsApp says it will be expanding this feature and support Android to iOS transfers in the future.
Requirements For Transfer WhatsApp Data From iPhone to Samsung Galaxy phone:
1. WhatsApp for iPhone version 2.21.160.17 or later.
2. WhatsApp for Android version 2.21.16.20 or later.
3. Samsung phone with Android 10 and Smart Switch 3.7.22.1.
4.Your SIM card inserted in your Galaxy device.
5. New Samsung Galaxy device to be brand new or has been factory reset.
6.A USB-C to Lightning Cable (included in the box with newer iPhones).

If u can't move to other than Samsung, well you can transfer chats to Samsung then upload to google drive then use your other phone to restore chats from google🎉

There is a fault in this video in the last step when you try to verify your number in the Android phone it has to send a code to the iPhone which cannot be received without canceling the transfer screen in the iPhone :(
Thanks! Instructions clear as day. Was completely frustrated because of the lack of instructions or intuitive process design (troubleshooting when the initial attempts don't work is a nightmare).
Biggest advice when doing this. make sure that whatsapp is not already dled on the phone. It has to be uninstalled before processing on the android. The smart switch would dl the app once it goes through the process.

Successfully transferred chat history into my Android phone (Galaxy Z Fold 5) from an iPhone 13. This method is really working but it took me around 2 hours to transfer including configuring both phones.
BTW, USB-C to Lightning cable included in the box (iPhone 13) refuse to connect to my Galaxy Fold. I have to use USB-C to USB-A and 3rd party cable USB-A to Lightning to make it work.

Amazing. I don't think its humanly possible to do this without watching this and following these steps to the t. Takes a long time, so if someone is trying to do this, make sure both your phones are at 100% charge.

I cant thank you enough. I cannot believe that there is no video like this on the whatsapp FAQ. Btw, for this to work, you cannot have Whatsapp already installed on your Android. If you have already download it, delete it. Doing so, you can follow the steps described in the video and everything will work.
This trick worked the 2nd time i tried. Not the entire chat was transferred but 90% of it was transferred.
Its correct that you when transferring chats from iPhone.. you have to uninstall the app in your Android phone then it works almost perfectly.
Just follow step by step process shown in the video. You will succeed.

Just MAKE SURE you have WhatsApp uninstalled on your Android phone, but installed on your iPhone.

Hello your method is perfect but i am facing one issue can you please suggest me the sollution. so the thing is i have more than 7 gb data in whatsapp chat so definitely its going to take time but the issue is when we connct cable its start taking batary charged from android to iphon and due to that my samsung is switched off after 50% data transfer and its happen with me 10 times though i already charged it 100%. and after the mobile was switched off the iPhone still showing the data is transfering but i cant see anything on my samsung. so what should i do. can i abort the process or keep connected and my iphon will notify me.? can we stop batry charging during the process. i dont think so. Please help or advice something.

Have to make sure WhatsApp isn't download and it download from the dropdown list after choosing iPhone & Apps options it wasn't showing up for me bc of that, thanks!

@@user-xi8sd9ux3f I had to uninstall because the first time I tried, the importing chats process did not appeared and my WhatsApp opened as if it was new, no chats at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled while both devices connected and then the import chats window showed up. At first I thought I lost my chats but eventually the process completed. Hope it helps!
at 2.00, Select Data to Transfer "Apps" is not listed. There is only contact, images, videos and two other less important thing. What to do?

After many tries, I couldn't get it to work, but after following the instructions step-by-step and got to each screen (as shown in the video), this successfully imported chat from old iphone.
One thing that didn't work was that whatsapp didn't install, so had to find this on the google play store. Although, I still verified phone number and imported chat in the end as shown.

Is there a memory card on the android device you used in this tutorial? Because I have 128GB storage on my Android phone and 97GB is left. Upon that i still see insufficient storage error. My whatsapp data is only 500MB while i was backup to the icloud. Any solution?
