    I have not played this game since I was nine. Memories as a kids was beating all my dad adult friends and them getting mad. So here it is 40 years later. And my Boyfriend reteaches me and I skunk him first game. Lol. He was trying to remember to. So this was so helpful. We were not counting all the point right. Now to try and make him play me again ☺️

    After the first round of 31, how do you know who starts the second round? In this example it was player 2 the second time, then player 3 the third time. I'm not sure if it should always start with the player left of the dealer, or was it because the dealer laid the last card in round 1. Then it moved to player 3 for the 3rd round of 31 because player 2 laid the last card in round 2 or just because player 2 had no cards left to lay down so it starts with the next person. If everyone still has cards left who should lay the first card next?

      @GatherTogetherGames  Před 6 lety +1

      Play continues clockwise after a round of 31. When player 1 ends the round of 31, player 2 starts the next round. When player 2 ends the round of 31, player 3 starts the next round. When player 3 ends the round of 31, player 1 starts the next round.

    Lets assume during the play, one player has all ten cards and shortly calls go, will play continue to alternate between the remaining players, who are holding low values, till one of these calls go or 31 is reached? Then pickup once more left of the player who deposited last card? Thank you

    • @GatherTogetherGames
      @GatherTogetherGames  Před 6 lety

      Yes, play continues with the remaining players until another go or 31 is reached. Then play continues left as you have described.

    A few questions. 1, do you only count runs when you're building up to 31 each time you're doing so? 2, basically the same question, but with pairs? 3, after the peg moving/counting, do you add the pairs/runs you have with other people? Somebody please answer, we just picked up a cribbage set and are trying to learn everything we can on how to play it. 4, when you're counting your crib, do you add whatever pairs/runs/15s you get from combining it with your hand?

      Hope this isn't too late:
      1) runs count in pegging and in your hand/ crib. However during pegging, the runs starr from scratch each time the play is restarted from zero.
      2) yes, pairs, trips, and quads also reset.
      3) after pegging everthing is wiped out and people just have their own cards
      4) counting your hand and counting your crib are two completely separate hands
      Hope this helps and hope you're enjoying the great game!!

    Hi there! At 7:10 in your video when you are counting player “2’s” hand, you add up the cards to 20 points. I don’t quite understand why the two runs that player 2 has are worth 8 points each...please help! Thank you!!!

    • @maheshpadalingam3137
      @maheshpadalingam3137 Před 4 lety +1

      Player 2 has two 15's for four points, two pairs for four points, two runs of 345 cards he has in
      his hand for total of six, another two runs of 345 using 3&5 of his hand and the flipped card from deck for another 6 points. Adding these gives 20 points.

    Is their any kind of special deal allowed in three handed cribbage, or do you have to deal 5 cards out first before putting one in the crib?

  • @IridescentEye
    @IridescentEye Před 5 lety +1

    One of the better ones, but I don't think you mentioned flushes or jack scoring (Nob and Hat) ….. also, there's one difference for crib scoring as opposed to hand scoring (although this may be an English thing) for flushes the crib needs all five cards to flush, whereas the hand can have the four held cards for four points or all five for five.

  • @benben9389
    @benben9389 Před 4 lety

    What’s the nob for instance a jack and a 3 gives 1 point i think?? Thanks

    • @shawncarter7188
      @shawncarter7188 Před 3 lety +1

      Nobs is when the jack in your hand or crib is the same suit as the card that was flipped.

    is it true that the player with thr crib counts last?

  • @YknotLearnall

    I'm confused. Not about the rules, about the board set up.
    Three players 6 pegs only two colors. Which peg is who's?

    • @GatherTogetherGames
      @GatherTogetherGames  Před 6 lety

      There are 9 pegs. 3 red, 3 green, and 3 blue. They are kind of hard to see.

  • @stuartrobinson2983
    @stuartrobinson2983 Před 4 lety

    At 2:37 you say that "once the 3rd player can no longer play a card, he pegs one for the go" this confusing. I thought that a player who has run out of cards to play must say "go" if the other 2 players still have cards to play.

    • @GatherTogetherGames
      @GatherTogetherGames  Před 4 lety

      The running total during the pegging phase cannot exceed 31. Here is an example, player 3 plays a card to bring the pegging total to 28. Player 1 says Go because she only has a 9 left in hand. The 9 cannot be played because it would cause the pegging total to exceed 31. Player 2 says Go because he only has a 5 left in hand. Play moves back to player 3. If player 3 has a 3 or lower, she would play it. Otherwise, player 3 would take the 1 point for the Go.

    Here it is: With three players you deal eight cards and throw two into the crib. The highest hand you can get is 44-55-66 with a 5 kicker. 72 points. Hooray!
