I’m sure my mom would argue that she played outside more than I did. It doesn’t have to be a competition of who played outside more. Someone who was born in the 80’s is going to have a different childhood than someone born in 2000’s. Just accept that.

More times than not, I would successfully FAIL in my mission to stay up all night long to catch the Saturday morning cartoons, so I always had the VCR as back up. Worst feeling in the world is when you set it to record and either (1) forgot to put a cassette in or (2) get the wrong cassette and record over your collection of Real Ghostbusters / X-Men / TMNT.

Saturday cartoons were the shit, you didn't mention recording songs off the radio on cassette tapes. just to have your deck or Walkman eat up your tape that same day. men......simpler times.
