I have WONDERFUL memories of time spent at a Virginia barn/farm 1969 onward....and the sun setting behind the Blue Ridge Mountains and turning the Charolais cattle in the expansive, rolling fields adjacent, a peach color. They seemed to like to come to stand under a Poplar tree at the fence line, to watch me ride and cool out my mare in the evening. I suppose it was entertainment for them. They added to the magic. Will never forget....

I purchased some of your Tallow Balm at the Charlotte Farmers Market a few weeks ago. I wanted to let you know that I love, love, love it. It makes my dry rough skin look brand new!

Would you recommend a charolais as a family milk cow? Im looking at a brown swiss/charolais cross.

Charolais are the best of the beef breed to cross with dairy for milk yields, they’ll need a lot of food because they get very filled out, but they cross sounds great for a family milk supply. They’re also very well behaved, and my Charolais, Nori, was the easiest heifer I have EVER halter broken, and by far the calmest.

They will get very heavy and very strong quickly though, as they are a top performing beef breed as well.

I don't know a thing about them except seems like they're sturdy. AG class in high school was a long time ago. I don't know much about Angus either which brings me to my question. Why does Marc like Charolais or not?

Question Please answer, How do you breed horns out of a particular type of cattle?

Homo polled cattle come from having a background of cattle without horns, takes being certified over the generations of cattle.

Charolais are fast growing and need grain. Especially to finish.
