The next day I got in the van, the door light came on but no other power to vehicle. Also will not engage in any gear. What do you think is the problem ??
So does my 2020. I had Covid and was not driving to work for 10 days. 4runner parked . Sure enough, thats when the shifter got hard to move and NSS replaced by the dealer no charge under warranty. Hope it never happens again.
Please someone help with a suggestion . I have the code P0705 A Circuit Gear sign and battery light on . The car can start in all Positions P,R,D,N .and when it starts it doesnt show which gear the car on the dashboard. instead I get transmision sign with the exclamation mark in Orange and this is when I can drive the car almost normally and the car can go reverse and from second up and up but with no first gear and parking sensors are not beeping nor reverse lights working .but if I dont see the transmision fault sign, the car go only in first gear up 20km ph and doest change to second gear and up and no reverse . I changed the transmission range sensor and bought a new battery and tested alternator with a specialist and said its fine which leaves me frustrated . The car is BMW e46 325i / 2001
I took a multi tool to mine on my tundra and it vibrated the thing right off. This was after I struggled with it for a while. Decided to cut it off but the multi tool worked like a dream just the vibration and it slid right off. Wish someone would post a video of hiw to properly adjust the dam thing though. Mines out of calibration.
the 4lo light just happened to start blinking today. 2016 4Runner at 109K miles. Will go scan the vehicle right now.

this is a super common issue on the 4runners. Id say its almost always the NSS and not the trans. One bolt will answer the question.
Yes it is. My 2020 4 runner had this happen with just 33,000 miles. Replaced NSS at dealer. no charge

My ‘03 4-runner never had thing problem ever ; my ‘05 Tacoma -yes . Gets stiff from time to time
My 2016 4runner is now doing that same thing, hoping i can buy and replace it myself.

LOL, there was not a single word about HOW to replace the NSS. This switch is a BEAR to remove. Useless video.
