It is only illegal to remove the emmisons crap on the car. but they cause a lot of carbon build up like fat does to your heart. If you have a pre 1997 in calif. you do not need to smog the Diesels. so no worry about worry about smog checks. :)

Is the green cylinder thing at 3:12 the vacuum dashpot? What is its purpose? Thanks!
I have om603 the vacuum line are all disconnected when you can show your vedieo sir thanks God bless.
I have the same problem on my diesel 96 e300 no Turbo can you help me
It would be much better without the vacuum system, never understood the purpose of it.
It is complicated, especially when you don't have repair manual...
