I once had a heritage that I just put a crash bar on that I did not want but was told if it falls over it will save the bike. I made a U turn in the roadway and there was a guardrail as I was coming out of the turn with a drop like yours into a stream and the friggin roadway broke apart and my bike slid under the guardrail headed down toward the stream and bang it got caught on the new crashbar that I had installed and it saved me and the bike! What timing.....

I bet you one thing... A yuppie would still be stuck there! You gots that good ol' "Can-Do" American spirit, Scotty Boy. Just goes to show that even a weak lever like your aluminium pipe will eventually get the job done against a stronger obstacle, if you have the gumption and common sense to stay at it. I felt it when you said you went out to the highway and were looking for somebody, ANYBODY, to help you out. You was about to panic and throw in the towel for a minute, I bet. Then you got your ducks in a row, cussed yourself for thinking that "I can't do it!" for a minute, then worked about 5 pounds of sweat out and gave a big sigh of relief. That was really smart to go down to the bottom and clear out your possible landing area and all the stabby bits, just in case.... I like this type video, just remembering with a couple of pictures to make the story better. Betsy was lookin good, too!
Man that pole could have been even worse, lucky it hit like it did. What a predicament though!
I've got one of those metal pipe / pole ... in my backyard I don't know it was, it's in a tree now I mean..
I've been here 45 years so and it just don't move I can't imagine getting a bike stuck up against it it ain't going anywhere

That's when it would have suck to be stuck when you tired at the end of the day and hung up like that!!!!!!! Finally got some warmer weather here. God Bless safe ridin rubber down

That copy is 5 completely different stories in one book but with many of the same characters. It will not stay like it starts. Takes place over the course of about 200 years. Go figure that. The whole thing leads to a punchline at the end that brings it all together. Hope it works for u Cowboy 😊

You definitely got me thinking…thing is living in the UK is not quite the same as the US…our weather sucks outside of summer and it’s not possible to go on an endless ride to europe anymore due to the brexit BS….i expect there are other viewers of you who live here and think the same….what would Scotty do……🧐🤔
I don't think even Scotty would live on the bike here in the UK. It's just not possible, too cold and wet for like 8 months of the year. Also, the country is too small, every single square meter belongs to someone and you'd be just moved on all the time, it would be pretty frustrating I think.
Maybe id immigrate somewhere else. Vida lives there, but not in winter.
