There's a dev named connect not sure who banned him in the first place though.

Very well spoken, I'm all gas when it comes to the heat on the mods and devs.
I've seen a fair share of games and game mods that fell from grace for situations like this over the decades (I'm old and tired). Being out of touch with their communities, inevitably leads to this.
Personally speaking, I can't find myself the will to, in good conscience, further support the developers above the original game price and battle passes acquired, when the cheating situation is out of control, specially on this side of the Atlantic (EU), publicly spread with videos on youtube etc, constantly running free, and yet one of the main advocates for action and player acquisition, is treated like this.
Call me idealist, I don't care, but this is absurd and completely avoidable AND repairable.

I am trying to find this video and also asking; why did they want to ban him? Seems so counter-intuitive to their cause, yet as we know, they have been known to be a difficult dev team.
He removed the video immediately. There was a 5 second joke about how easy it was to cheat.

@@Nuggz1 Yeah, I've seen it. Hilarious when you kill someone speedhacking, but yeah cheating ruins games and is so prolific in so many.
@McShag420 I think the reasoning was distributing information on how to cheat. He didn't provide any cheats so not against TOS. He was comedically bringing light to the issue of how easy it is to cheat.

Im a huge conspiracy theorists so i agree that some duche bag at TB got butthurt by some of Daves valid critiques of the game. Im suspicious though theres a bigger reason and its $$$$
Feels like they've been trying to clean the game up for mainstream consumption this last update. The game isnt quite as independent now and unfortunately thats usually when the magic dies and i play sonething else. Hopefully thats not whats happening
They should start preparing the game for the mainstream by dealing with the actual hackers and not somebody who is concerned with hackers

Dave was always in the comment section, trying to help and enjoy a sense of community
But all I did was do some stupid jokes and once I did not even reply to one of his comments, just giving him a like instead of a real thank you
There is no saying sorry now, everything changed for a permanent state. The pace keeps on pacing.
What did he do?
Basically brought attention to the cheating epidemic by outlining how easy it is.
I deleted the game 3 days ago.
Now I see that it was a very good decision. Dodged a bullet.

I saw him in a video by Proxolol, he is good at teaching the skills of the game. I am not a good player yet and only recently started joining the 40 vs 40 matches, which is quite fun. I do not know much about the Chivalry 2 community but this sounds wrong on so many levels.
What's next, banning someone for insulting biden and liberal censorship! "Call for your boys, saves me the hassle of looking for em later!"

They banned me from the discord for a single unfunny pipe bomb joke but they let an open cheater imply I should kill myself and he is untouched for months even after I reported him. Chiv 2 moderation and community support needs an overhaul now. #freesoterdave

@@RealAICCl He shared how easy it was to cheat on game pass. A simple google search and anybody can become a PC gamepass cheater. The devs banned him for exposing a loop hole but it also forced them to fix the loop hole.

I can't believe he ended his life over a video game
Maybe that game was the only thing that kept him going. Mental health problems aren't a thing that you just get when things get rough, or catch like a cold. He was clearly passionate about game and he was making some money out of sharing that passion with us. If it was so trivial as u think then i would more likely say that he ended his life because he made an effort to publicise an issue just to get the worst outcome.

@@Nuggz1 im sure there were other more serious issues, but permanently losing access to something he loved and was passionate about might’ve been a tipping point. Make sure you guys check in on each other in whatever discord group your in.
