That is solid advice. Another tip about spacing: it is useful to use many weapons so that you can get an idea of the range of them when you are fighting them.

I’m usually always running the highland sword and 1vX’s are just significantly easier to me
Thanks man! very useful. I often see a lot of top players playing in the third person, is this necessary for a top playing? I'm just so used to playing in the first person already.
You can still be a top player in first person it just takes a little more effort. Third increases your vision so it let's you relax a little bit. First person your going to find yourself getting flanked more and killed from behind. But you can overcome it.
@nuggz have you done a video on Keybindings? I am constantly struggling to get easy/essential keybinds down and try to simplify the amount of buttons!
Not yet but my key binds are very simple. The only thing changed from the default is that my alt swing and attack cancel are bound to my side mouse buttons and I have alt overhead bound to clicking the mouse wheel so I can scroll back to overhead and then click the mouse wheel for the alternate. But yeah besides that it's all default

I am PC so I do know things like jabbing might be more difficult for console players
Every time i go in thinking I'm going to practice jabbing and I end up, just not 😂
I need to work on jabs because i cringe so hard whenever i miss one. i will probably stop using it with polehammer in general lul
Polearms have the absolute worst jabs in the game 🥲
So how to deal with jabs? Outspacing? So when I know I face a good player and I land a hit I etiher instant r to r his r or I space away? And how to deal with someone just jabing? Btw I’m already lvl400 now with 2,5kda if you remember me :D
To beat a jabber spacing is your best bet. If you have good patience and powers of prediction you can jab into their jab which will negate it. Blocking too but if you hold block there just gonna kick
How do some people accel so quickly? When I accel my weapon it feels so slow in comparison, like all i'm doing is moving my camera, but slower. Should i be moving the mouse while in release? Or during the swing itself?
When you swing your weapon you have a turn cap. The game will limit how fast you spin your camera. (This is why you don't see dumb swing manipulation like in mordhau) Before you swing your speed is determined by your sensitivity so for a fast accel for an overhead you would look at the ground before swinging.
I've been practicing my defense. Specifically counters only and I'm getting real frustrated with being kicked and trying to get the blue ring on one handed faster weapons.
Countering is more difficult with faster weapons, your timing needs to be tighter which means better patience. Pressing the block button later so you don't get kicked. For one hands it's better to get good at jabbing and accels and don't try to get into Countering battles because you are at a disadvantage. 2 handed weapons are much better with Countering
can you talk about controller vs mouse and keyboard please?
Might prepare and interview for a top console player sometime soon. My own knowledge on controller isn't the best but I support the console community all the way.
@@Nuggz1 i play on pc but I only use controller because I learned chivalry 1 on controller and for me KB&M feels unnatural

@dominien6487 well on PC controller you can still remap your key binds easily so it's not as big of a disadvantage. You can definitely still compete at a high level.

@@dominien6487Same here. PC w/ controller. I can't help but believe it's a disadvantage.
The fact I have to hold down two buttons to throw as opposed to a dedicated single press is one example.
Crouching while fighting is another one. Pressing in the joystick and holding it in while also using it to move is not easy, at least for me.
Then I see guys sliding across the ground fighting half the time crouched while spinning in 1 v x fights.
Can it be overcome? To some extent (maybe creative rebinding), but I think KB will always have the edge.

When private servers come out people might be able to make first person only servers
