Excellent interview. As an UGLE mason I have respect for those who made it to 33. You live the values
You deserve this promotion and much more for taking care so well of this channel, Maynard!
Much love to you and yours!
You are too kind.
Great video brother and congratulations 🤙🏼 happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again 🤝🏴
Well done Brother this has been inspiring on my journey to climb beyond
Congratulations on receiving the 33°! I'm guessing it was at the biennial in August. I've never been more nervous to sign my own name than when I signed "the Book of Gold" in 2017.
Thank you for sharing this video on CZcams
As a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction and as a member of the Grand Lodge of Vermont, and Vermont Scottish I just wanted to say I enjoy your channel and look forward to future episodes. Thank you so much Illustrious Brother Maynard
Well done, Bro. Maynard. Thanks for more amazing content. If you ever make it out to Colorado, would love the opportunity to hang out and chat.
Sounds great!
i hope through this channel i can clear so many misunderstandings I've read and heard throughout the years. thanks. Congratulations on the degree.
Much respect Mr.Maynard. You always keep it on the level👍🙏🏻
Shine in your light brother. 💯
Gratz on the 33rd Brother! Now, about that miniature Stonehenge... I don't HAVE to do it... but can I? (though, I am not a 33rd, I hope that's not the qualifier to be able to do so!) ;)
Wow ! Youngest 33 degree mason ! Congratulations 🙌
I’m not even close to the youngest 33rd° Mason
Well done Maynard!
I am endlessly pleased for you my friend and Brother.
Thank you so much Grand Chaplain!
Is there a way to see if my great grandfather was a 33rd Degree Mason? He apparently tried unsuccessfully to get my father to join and really weird things have been occurring to me that I want to gain some information about.
If you have his name and basic age and where he lived, maybe.
Who do I need to reach out to for a list or understanding of what my father did as a Scottish Rite Mason? Do I just contact my local lodge or is there an archivist that I need to reach out to??
Where was he a Scottish Rite Mason? What area?
Love this , thank you, brother
Congratulations. Thank you.
Congrats, Mr. Maynard! I'm getting voted in this Thursday, I'm super nervous
I am sure it will be great!
That's exciting!
@ScottishRiteMasons Mr. Maynard, I did it!!! I got elected, I'm so excited! Your channel helped me and kept me motivated. Thank you so much!!
Great Alex impersonation, and thank you for the clarifications!
My grandpa told me a few years ago when he grew up in a small town in Alabama they had a Freemason lodge and he said they would always ask about “riding a goat” to the members when they were kids lol
That’s great! I am a master mason lodge 617 in a small town in Alabama and i remember before my EA them messing with me asking me if I was ready to ride the goat 😂😂
I'm still convinced you rode a giant eagle 🦅 while fighting a dragon 🐉 in the nether realm to earn your 33°
You can't fool Maynard. I was here when you had 1k subs, now since the slayed dragon of Tartarus and became a 33° Mason, your subscriber base has swelled to 26k. If that is not black magic ✨ idk what is
Thank you for your support Brother....and don't be telling people about the Eagle!! ;)
Huh
Congratulations brother!!
Congratulations, Brother!
Congrats!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the great video man. 💯☯️⚕️🕉️☮️♾️✝️

Are there any decent York rite channels? I’ve been interested in joining the York rite but I’d like to check it out first
Not that I know of.
I plan to start my Scottish Rite journey soon. I joined the Blue Lodge 20+ years ago and went into the York Rite. Lately, I've been drawn towards the Scottish Rite. I hope it's not too late in my life.
Never too late brother. We’d love to have you.
@@ScottishRiteMasons Thank you, brother. It's looking like I may be going through at the end of the month. These videos inspired me and I hope to visit DC to see the beautiful temple there one day soon after joining.
Congratulations 🍾🎊🎉
Congratulations, sir, from a Kansas Master Mason.
I use to watch your videos and they're very benefit, I'm interested If possible can you show me a way how to join it.
🎉🎉🎉 congratulations sir you deserve it,
I'm interested to be a member how can are I start sir
In masonry? There’s a video here on our channel. Check it out.
Nice vid. I've always felt compelled to pursue the greatest interests of mankind, to wit. A way to be influential, powerful and protected. The inner me is gasping to find out more knowledge about the human race and about the things that not everyone is destined to know. I wish to blossom into the enlightenment that our forebears wanted so desperately for us to gain.
That feeling is understandable, it's just you been human. If you really seek enlightenment you can achieve that and so much more by joining the Illuminatus. I know it sounds mythical, but there are ways to actually get in.
hi, is it even possible to join? i always thought it's meant for certain people in the upper class.
Freemasonry does not offer wealth or power. That’s just silliness. You can get more info at www.beafreemason.com
Greetings from cultores de la acacia 77 Bogota Brother Maynard! The age of Christ Crucified works fine. 33 was his age and he is the Master. Also,33 has deep numeralogical meaning, plus, the Vedic arcana holds 33 as a most significant DIVINE number, along with 3 . Its all perfect once you now the fundamental truth
Hey man! You seem like a reputable Mason. I'm a huge fan of the CZcams channel "Esoteric Freemasonry Unveiled". If you've ever got the time, would you mind checking out an episode or 2 and letting me know your opinion on it! Unfortunately the owner of that channel vanished off CZcams years ago after only posting 13 videos. Though his course was left incomplete, I feel it gave me some very valuable tools. I'd be very curious to see what a currently active and reputable mason such as yourself thinks of the channel!
Appreciate you bringing more light to the community bro!
I’ll take a look.
@@ScottishRiteMasons awesome 🙏
congratulations, I got the grade of M:. M:. In the past month and I am about to begin my journey in the Scottish Rite, how difficult is it to reach 33°?
Congrats on being a Master Mason! There is no higher honor really. And I know you will enjoy the Scottish Rite. The symbolism, history and teachings will be transformative IF you follow them truly. When you join the Rite, you will be made a 32nd (if you're in the USA).
My suggestion is to not worry about becoming a 33rd. Find something in the fraternity to focus on~ degree work, community service...whatever. Take the lessons of Scottish Rite and put them to work in your life and your lodge. The work is its own reward and the accolades and honors will come in due time. ~M
Great explanations!
Congratulations Illustrious Brother. I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you Brother Tony. A truly humbling honor.
Congratulations Master Mason 33 rd degree
What kind of work does a 32nd degree Scottish rite Freemason do to achieve the 33rd degree? Who decides if the work is sufficient to qualify for promotion? Are there documented criteria for advancement or is it subjective?
Thanks for guiding my understanding of Scottish rite freemasonry
Well, the first thing is that a 32nd degree must first be honored as a Knight Commander of the court of honor (KCCH as we say). In most Valleys (local chapter) all the other KCCH masons will make nominations. Those nominations are then forwarded to the head of the Valley or Orient and then the final determination is voted on by the Supreme Council. The process is similar for the 33rd degree, but the selection pool is of the KCCH masons.
There is no documented criteria. But if a Mason ASKS for that honor, tradition hold that he is automatically deemed to be unworthy.
@@ScottishRiteMasons"the supreme council" is LONDON??

Like how much do we need to start being a member ?
Initiation fees vary from Lodge to Lodge, but usually its a few hundred dollars to join, and annual dues in the US average $150. Your mileage may vary.
ES 33rd since 1991. Good job brother
Congratulations Brother
I'm a TBI survivor and have cognitive disorder. I really try my best to control my behavior and to follow good role models but experiences blank spots where I just snap. Can I become a freemason.
Each lodge conducts its own investigation of petitioners, and within the rules of their Grand Lodge, makes a determination on who they will accept based on that investigation. Your condition is not automatically disqualifying in most jurisdictions. It would be up to the lodge you petitioned to decide whether it would be a problem, after they make a determination of how often you "snap," and how those snaps manifest themselves.
Can you provide me a Grand Lodge in Pretoria South Africa?
Congratulation brother
OK, I've got a question for you. Is it true, that in one of the rites you stab or somehow desecrate a copy of papal tiara?
No.
Thanks!
Thank you for your support!! Very much appreciated!
😂 love the list
Question,
I was noticing the fraternity OMEGA PSI PHI has their own credit union....
Does Masonry have a bank/credit union?
No. Masonry never got into banking. Many fraternities began life as mutual benefit societies, especially those that started in the post-civil war era. Many developed their own insurance brands and other things. Masonry opened old age homes and hospitals. But masons didn’t get into the other areas.
@@ScottishRiteMasons thank you for the reply. Would you know the insurance brands?
Knights of Columbus. Woodmen of the World, Mutual of Omaha, travelers of America to name a few. They are all over.
@@ScottishRiteMasons THANK YOU! I kind of figured TRAVELERS....duh, on my part.
No blood drinking or human sacrifice? I'm demitting immediately 😆
They do when you reach the top that is the last oath Human sacrifice 70-80 percent of Freemason are completely deceived and delusional they lied to each other and to the world

He is telling the truth. It´s a very very long commitment to the cause.
The internet is full of crap about freemasonry, so it is very hard to understand what is true and what is not. You're probably asked this all the time, is true about what they say about the secret signs and handshakes to recognize who is a freemason? Or is it just another urban legend ?
Thank you!!
When masons talk about secrets primarily that is indeed what they are talking about, secret handshakes, gestures and passwords. Mostly these serve as a tool for masons to test whether or not another person is in fact a Mason.
I am have the great gift to have a Grand Cross member in my Valley. His name is Bro. Bob Hansen. Of Billings Scottish Rite in Billings MT.
Can you bulletpoint what benefits I would expect to receive once achieving this highly esteemed status?
There are no benefits. It's simple an honor. You don't get anything except a white hat to wear at formal meetings. Masonry is NOT about "getting" things.
My Great grandfather was a mason and I've heard so many awesome things about him from my dad. From what I've seen and heard, guys that join the fraternity ,come into there own as men.
(Also @ 12:07 in the video when you mention Alex Jones l... you start doing a spot on impression of him 😂😂)
Do you guys have links with MOD, DOD, DARPA, FSB, MI6 or IDF?
I’m sure there are individual masons who work for or with those groups. Just like I am sure there are members of other fraternities who work for and with those organization.
But as a whole? No. We do not. We are just a fraternity despite tinfoil hat theories to the contrary.
I’m from South Africa 🇿🇦. How do I join??
Don't
10 sefirot + 22 paths in the tree of life=32 degrees? Thats one theory ive read. Many esoteric schools use the tree of life as a model for initiation including Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and others so it would make sense in my opinion. You think that might be one explanation?
Also i want to ask if Memphis-Misraim is recognized as an official masonic body? It has over 90 degrees and they say it in their website and i think it is more egyptian in its symbolism and rituals.
degrees continued to be added to a point and it stopped at 33. similar to there being 2 degrees in early craft masonry...there were not originally 32 in the SR...
Well. Yes and no. The system upon which the SR is based didn’t have 33. But the supreme council since its inception has had 33 (1801)
I hope to be a mason soon. I, ironically, share the same last name as Art De Hoyos.
I've had a member of the masons. Approach me and ask me if i'm interested in joining. I'm still trying to decide. I'm leaning towards yes but I have some reservations and questions.
No real mason will ever ask you to join. You must ask. It’s one of our little rules.
Since blue lodges have been declining, some lodges to allow recruitment to some extent, don't shoot the messenger! @@ScottishRiteMasons
32 degrees = 32 paths of wisdom? Sefer Yetzira?
Any connection?
Never heard that one; certainly possible. Several of the first members of the Supreme Council in 1801 were Jewish and may have been familiar with the Sefer Yetzira. I think we can say "possible but unlikely". ~M
@@ScottishRiteMasons ok...
Congratulations on being conferred a 33rd brother. We know why there’s 33 degrees 😉 blessings, Fraternally.
@legacyhairstudios4783 Yeah...because 32 wasn't enough and 34 was too many!
@@TheRealist2022 exactly!!
Egyptian masonry contains 99 degrees (Memphis Misraïm).
I am not schooled in that Rite, and they are not really recognized by most Masonic org.
@@ScottishRiteMasons Come to France and we'll show you 🙂
We have those degrees in the Grand College of Rites. But no one walks around claiming 99 degrees here.
@@ScottishRiteMasons The original Egyptian rite contained 99 degrees (or at least came to have 99 degrees at some point) but was adapted by Yarker into 33 degrees. This is the version that is most practiced today, including in France and is the version I know, though I have heard of some non-regular lodges that practice 99 degrees.
Concerning the points in your video, I will also say that it usually takes a lifetime for many members to reach 33 degrees or even 32 degrees (or even 30 degrees!) Thirty years often aren't enough unless you're the hardest working, the brightest. Even reaching MM takes an average of 5 to 7 years depending on the lodge usually in France, and indeed how could one be a Master Mason in any sense after only a few weeks or months.
Not to mention what is actually done in the lodge: what kind of work is expected. All this to say that there exist important differences between masonic practices here and there: you would guffaw at some of the things we do and vice versa.
@@ScottishRiteMasons Wherever I am, the number 33 is visible in front of me, please tell me what it is😞
WHAT DO YOU DO IN MEETINGS?
First, we remind everyone to turn off caps lock. After that we pay lodge bills, talk about the lessons of masonry, discuss our lodge charity projects or whatever fun things we are planning.
The ascension of the 33 vertebrae where the inner alchemy of the crucification takes place at the cross before the chrism can break through to the pituitary and pineal gland to illuminate the lamp of the vessel
None of this is a part of the symbolism
Of the 33rd degree. None of it. Zero.
congrats on your 3rd...my only question about 33rd..and 32nd kcch ...if you are just a regular joe, and don't get honorary degrees, .. are you missing out on parts of the story?
No, not at all. And the KCCH and the 33rd degree ritual do nothing more than reinforce the lessons already acquired. They communicate (basically) that even though you have gotten an honor, your work is never done. ~M

In the Northern Jurisdiction I was required to buy the 33rd degree ring through our Supreme Council. I doubt I'll wear it to blue lodge as I feel all Masons there are equal.
I agree feeling humbled being included in the company of these great men.
Wear your ring as you please, none of us can or should take it for more or less than what it is. Yes, we're equal. Just that you've earned some special accolades. So please, wear the ring. With honor.
@@larryspiller6633 Thanks for that perspective.
@jeffreyrubish347 Required? Surely, the purchase of Masonic jewellery should be a personal choice?
I have a theory as to why 33. Referring to Nicola Tesla's theory that 3, 6, & 9 being the numbers of the universe can be achieved with 33 degree. 3+3=6 and 3x3=9. Maybe?
The 33rd degrees represents the 33 vertebrae's in the spinal cord. Once the serpentine energy travels through the 33 vertebrates, it acends into the 3rd eye, reaching true illumination. That's my understanding, but I'm not a freemason, so I could be wrong.
@iamblacksand Yes, you're wrong. Sorry.
Would you have information on a (PHA) Sovereign Inspector General?
There's a video here on the channel regarding our relationship with our Illustrious Prince Hall Brothers.
What about Albert Pike? As a 33rd degree mason were you commanded to read Morals & Dogma (by Albert Pike)? Have you read Morals & Dogma?
We are not commanded to read it. In fact, I would hazard to guest at nine out of 9 out of 19 33° Scottish rite Mason has never read it.
I have read it because I helped produce the audiobook and the Kindle edition. So I’ve been through it a few times.
I also know that you have never read it. You’ve googled a few things and you think you’ve got some accurate quotes, but the fact of the matter is if you go to a library and pull morals and dogma off the shelf - it’s pretty much readily available anywhere- you will find there is nothing scary or occult in that book at all.
If you are comfortable with googling things and pretending you know what you’re talking about, then that’s on you, but if you’re claiming to be rational and intelligent, and not willing to go to the actual source, your claims are false. But have a nice day anyway.
I respectfully remain sceptical. No,I have not read Morals and dogma in detail. Those few words do make reference to hailing Lucifer though. Canadas prime minister is also a Canadian Scottish rite freemason. Not sure if I would want to be in the same club sir.
So you admit not only that you have not read it, but that you are unwilling to read it, and are simply willing to form an opinion based on a few words that actually DO NOT come from the book Morals & Dogma. Which means you are not skeptical, but simply forming a flawed opinion based on ZERO actual fact. NOWHERE in Morals and Dogma or ANY Masonic text is there a reference to HAILING Lucifer.
Any man of reason or intelligence would attempt to gather fact before opining on ANY subject.
Justin Trudeau is not a Freemason, and so therefore definitely not a Scottish Rite Mason. But you "heard it" somewhere and now state it as a fact. Another person will see your statement, and also the decide it is a fact. And the virus of lies grows. And you are a carrier.
My invitation on this channel is always- go check sources yourself. You don't need to take my word for it- go do some looking on both sides of the issue and see for yourself.
Morals and Dogma- the real version, not the "googled" version- is available in most libraries. The chapter with a reference to Lucifer is in chapter 19. It starts a paragraph before and states all Masons hate the works of lucifer. It then states that Lucifer means "light-bearer" and its a strange name for the Prince of Darkness. Pike says Is he the light bearer? Doubt it not. He blinds feeble minded and foolish men with his false light.
Go read it yourself.
*sigh* You won't. The easy path is foolishness.
@ScottishRiteMasons A very lengthy and expressive response, sir. Thank you for taking the time to ream me about what I really don't know.
You are right. My only source of information on the subject is google Scrolling hours on end. I do this out of yearning to know. In the end, I've simply fallen down many rabbit holes.
I humbly admitt I really know little.
I apologize for any disrespect. I just want to know, but I obviously need to look elsewhere than google or just CZcams.
And please don't take my word or anyone elses; go get the book or buy the kindle version. It's full of old style writing, but if you take your time, you will see it is not scary at all and Pike (a staunch Christian) was definitely not a fan of Lucifer. Thanks for the note, have a nice day!
How do people believe this guys BS?! Does ANYONE do research? Or do you just believe everything a stranger tells you??
Congratulating someone for doing a Human Sacrifice to get his 33rd Degree. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
You are ridiculous.
I’ve always heard 33 vertebrae in the spine which leads to the firmament which is the skull. But than again it’s just a theory. But I believe you’re very authentic with your answers. But I also believe some knowledge isn’t for everybody so people need to not be bothered by anyone being a Mason. Lots of people don’t agree with it but if everyone knew all of it the mystery goes away. Not knowing is what makes it interesting love this video
My personal theory is that originally it was pure happenstance. The original supreme council degrees that’s just how many there were and then after the fact there have been other meanings applied by various people. But as to the original meaning? It’s just a random amount based on necessity -M
A good man wouldn’t agree with gatekeeping information or having “mysterious” knowledge😂

Absolutely
