I love your step-by-step tutorials! Makes me feel confident I can follow along and make a hat!
Thank you for sharing
A great video Sara, thank you. Not keen on blocking halos myself but your tips will surely help with my next one ❤️
Wonderful video. The lurex is beautiful.
Thank you
I've ordered a halo block myself, and now I'm even more excited about tring it out. Another great video 😊
Thank you 😊
This is heaven sent. Thank you so much for doing this 💗
Hi, So another gem from your jewelry case. I love each and every one of them. What a cute little hatinator. Yours, Ann
Thank you Ann, I really enjoyed making this 😊
The tiny iron killed me ! I love it so much! 😂❤
Little craft iron was one of my best buys!
Your brilliant thanks ❤
Thanks
It is very impressive- thanks.
This is exactly the way I was doing!!! Thanks a lot for your videos wich are helping me a lot!
hurrah !
Thank you so much for posting!
I want to start millinery and your videos make me feel like I can do it.
It's very scary for me because where I live you can't find literally anything and I have to import everything. * ok I can find pins and scissors but that's about it*
All jokes aside I really appreciate what you are doing! You can't imagine how much hope and determination you can harvest in newbies like me ❤😂!
I am so pleased that you like my channel , my main aim is to help and inspire 😘 Take look at the community tab, as I am now setting up live online courses
Beautiful,
I Love this!!
Thanks
Thank you I will follow your method as it’s less fiddly and much easier. I have my sinamay covered in a pvu glue mix.
I have really enjoyed watching your wee videos on CZcams. Do you have more or anywhere else I can watch more?
Thank I’ll try that x
Thanks a pack...appreciated
Hi that was very informative. Any tips on how to cover it in velvet fabric?
Cut your velvet on the bias, the stretch will help with a smooth covering
Thank you so much Sara. I have blocked two. One on a wooden block and one on a polystyrene. Just waiting on them drying. Will they not collapse if no wire inside to strengthen?
Because I use an internal metal headband, I don't need to wire. If you are doing a different method you may need to add a wire frame. It depends on how stiffened your fabric is
Lovely work. May I ask where to get the halo block from.
The halo block is available from highlandhatblocks.com, I am using block HHB309
This was so helpful thank you. What block out of interest is that from Highland hat blocks?
Hi, it is HHB309 2 inch. Glad you liked the video
@@SHMillinery thank you so much! I had my first attempt using your video last night and pleased with how it came out!
Hi Sara I have finished blocking and adding the metal band and I’m about to cover in the stretch velvet fabric. Do I sew it or glue it? It’s a bit fiddly so I was wondering what you would suggest. Thanx again for all your tips x
I would sew to the underside, as once glued it is difficult to adjust, also the glue may leech through the fabric
Also I do show a sewn one here czcams.com/video/utqNg0lAeZI/video.htmlsi=GcNYu_QlsiBNBB4w
Could the headband had gone on the outside like the one made with bukram?
It could do, but it would be tricky to sew
