Watched Stuck In Love yesterday (cause Logan Lerman) right before going to sleep, and loved it. We go through a lot... and we just need a few moments of impact to become stubborn enough to interpret the world and everyone in it as a threat. There's a certain tragedy in that. And we start losing ourselves in between these masks of sarcasm, cynicism, or whatever we consider our defense mechanism to reject anything that we think could potentially harm us. It's just... sad when we try to protect ourselves from being hurt, but in reality all we really want is that right someone to scrape off all those superficial layers of hatred we've covered ourselves with.

Watched the movie - I don't think I've cried so much before. So beautiful, definitely glad that I watched it.
Caroline Katierose Awww, glad you loved it! I could relate to her attitude so much, cause I've been that stubborn before. And there's also the habit of secondhand learning... we're not eternal creatures and we should live more aware of that.
Yeah, those themes were amazing - those parts when Rusty tried to help Kate was also a pretty big punch to the gut, too. All of those stories - the dad and the mom, Sam and Lou, Rusty and Kate - they really said a lot about people and love in general.
