  • In this video, I'll show you how to remove and replace the taillight housing, the taillight/brake light bulb, signal/hazard bulb, and reverse light bulb on your 1993-2011 Ford Ranger
This is by far one of the easiest DIY projects you can do on these trucks and is a great way to get your feet wet turning a wrench (or screwdriver) on this vehicle.

3157 Bulb for Brake / Taillight - One pack will be enough for both sides

3156 Bulb for Reverse and Blinker Bulbs - Will need one pack per side

Milwaukee M12 Impact Driver (A bit overkill for this but it's what I used)

Thanks for the video, Ray. I had a hell of a time trying to find out which types of bulbs go in each socket since I was too lazy to take the taillights apart to check them.

Thank you for the video - I didn’t think to check for the two screws on each side inside the tailgate

Ya.. .me neither and then I remembered my first ranger I had in 1999. I almost broke the taillight trying to rip it off. lol

So i clicked on this because I remembered your build video a year ago on this same truck, just gotta say I sold my 99 ranger but those lights (atleast on mine which was $300 and basically everything was broken) can go in different ways 😅

If you could, could you do a time-lapse build on this truck? I think it'd be pretty cool since nobody has done it for a ranger as far as my knowledge

Thanks! The intro and exit video of me talking was shot on an old Sony A6000. The video of me actually working on the truck was shot on an iPhone 13 Pro. Didn't realize how dramatic the difference was til now!

Wow that is very excellent video for a iphone. I have taken a few good videos off my iphone 11 in 60fpm 1080p, but definitely not that good. I usually shoot with an old Sony handheld, but looking to upgrade and was just curious

That camera is like a $900 sony. Ouch. Mines is like a $250-300.
Definitely out of my price range

@@raiderman28 The A6000 is really old. It was released in 2014. You can get them for maybe $400-500 used. The A6400 is the $900 option now
