England were *NOT* the better side in the night at all and there was nothing wrong with the referee.
England were just not good enough. France dominated the first half. And England couldn’t score from open play. For all the amount of hype that the British media heaps on Saka, Foden, Bellingham, and (the not selected) Jadon Sancho: They’re just not Mbappe, Greizmann, Giroud, etc.
Southgate will probably not be England manager anymore come 2026, and his replacement will probably be a worse manager.
You need to lose the entitlement attitude and face the reality that the premier league does not make England one of the giants of the game. After all most of the stars of the premier league are not English.

Sometimes you just don't win the games you play better in. This was one of them. Poor refereeing was all over the place but so many teams have had poor refereeing decisions too. You can only play what's in front of you and the end of the day. We didn't win. It happens.
3 things I think Southgate got wrong.
1. Taking saka off.
2. Letting kane take the second pen
3. Starting Henderson.

While watching the game with friends and family from Argentina, I must say we all thought the ref had it against Saka. Dude went down a lot in the first half and I think he only had 1 foul called. I know Kane should score both penalties but anyways, the pitch was a bit tilted against you.
I know Victor Sampaio from Copa Libertadores and he wasn't the right choice for this game. The guy says play and let play until he chooses otherwise.

As a non-english, i must say that the future of the England squad with players like Bellingham, Saka, Foden, Trent, Mason Mount and so on, looks extremely bright.. i thought england played well. but france were bad down the right flanck. and there forwards are so lazy at chasing up the ball. i couldnt believe it when the english defence were walking past the french forwards and not one of them even put in a tackle or even touched them. it was like they thought that forwards dont tackle. a dont think france will win it. but if they get better they will, and if kane had put away that penalty i thot england would have won as they put in more work. but the france goal keeper was my man of the match, he was brilliant. not that would be hard as no other player stood out. harry kane was quiet or maybe he just couldnt handle the french defence. but all of frances play goes down there left flanck and thats why they wont win it unless they get better. a thot the wee guy with blonde curly wig was bad, really bad. he just walked about so slow and ball watched when an english defender was a foot away from him and stood with the ball and looked around and he just watched him do it, a think france need to change there right flanck as they did nothing. a thought france will lose the game becouse of there lazy players. it could have been so different if kane didnt bottle it and it looked as if the keeper would have got it if kane kept it down, as he guessesd exactly right where it was going. the best keeper have seen in a long time. he could get to just about any ball.
