Before the match I sincerely believed that such attack line (Kane, Saka, Foden, Bellingham on the field + Rashford, Mount, Sterling, Grealish on the bench) would have no difficulty in beating the revamped defense (without Kimpembé, Hernandez, Pogba and Kanté) of the French team. And that England would score at least 2 or 3 goals in the game.
But at the end it was the French who scored 2 magnificent goals in the game. And England went home.
So, one question if I may : Are english players overated? Where they too sure of themselves?
They were pinned down every second they didn’t get a flipping chance. And the referee didn’t help at all. If france didn’t play so dirty I’m sure we could’ve equalised and taken it to pens
