I was not familiar with your work until 2012, but I have a friend who lost his sight and he introduced me to your beautiful voice and tons of vocal techniques.
Today is my friend's birthday, he fought cancer for a long time and traveled half the world trying to recover, but in the end he wrote down a wishlist on a dictaphone and stopped fighting cancer.
One of his wishes was to meet you and personally say thank you for being with him during all the difficult moments of his life.
He said that this is similar to the plot of a dramatic and even a fantasy film, when a person lives in emptiness and can not see anything but darkness, but he hears beautiful voices and music that help him to live on.
Unfortunately, he passed away 4 days ago, and I'm trying to fulfill at least a small part of the remaining wishes of my friend.
Dear Floor Jansen, I want to say thank you for being with him as a saving voice all these years!

Every time someone mentions a song called "Show Yourself," I think of the one by Mastodon XD Though the one from Frozen 2 would be a neat one for Floor to cover, as well.
I second that. With all due respect towards "Into The Unknown", the best song in the film was hands down "Show Yourself".

The more I listen to Floor Jansen sing this song the more I'm baffled that Disney has not approached her to officially do more songs, that I'm aware of. Considering Frozen is a movie about a strong willed woman and Floor having a once in a lifetime voice, she could have such an impact and be a role model to every girl/woman that feels empowered to be the best they can be. Much respect to you, Floor.

In an ALW production, yes. His musicals tend to be sung through with little acting outside of singing, because that gives him, as the composer the most creative influence. Floor knows how to act the emotions of a song, she would be perfect as a Christine, or maybe even as Phantom if we'd ever get a gender blind version.

It's my mother's 74th birthday today. She has always hated the music I listen to.. until I introduced her to Nightwish via Ghost Love Score. Now she is obsessed with Floor (as we all are!).

This is one of my daughters' favorite songs, but also my wife's (and me) too. Once, I recorded it on my car's MP3 and, when it begins to play, my wife's expression changed, asking who's the singer. Your best presentation card.

@@battygirrl I can handle Floor doing it because she's Floor. But that's probably about it. I'm weird with certain singers/songs. For example, I petty much can't handle anyone other than Judy Garland (or Liza) singing Over the Rainbow and I don't have any desire to hear anyone other than Floor or Idina sing Let it Go or Into the Unknown.

Wow, this cover was executed so well that it felt so easy and light. I think you'd be a perfect fit for a mature Elsa who has fully realized powers. And then again, I'd really love to hear you sing "Show Yourself" and see this transformation from uncertainty to full 5th spirit power.

@@imranhazim1493 Hi, the festival was kinda outdoors, a big (cosy) tent (with the sides open / well ventilated), and tables to sit at. It was very nice and organized very well (we could order snacks/drinks with a qr code at the table)! But the idea was for everyone to stay seated/at his table... 👍🏻😀

Wow, I got shivers and goosebumps listening to you hold those long high notes, especially the last one! It's just so amazing to hear someone nail a note like that and be able to hold it perfectly steady, supported, on-pitch, and with such a rich, smooth timbre, the whole way through!
