I’ll never understand why AiB isn’t getting the hype and success it deserves (which is way more than what it’s receiving actually)
I personally hated s1 but I watched s2 for the premise and LOVED it, after speaking to some friends some loved s1 and hated s2, and some just thought both seasons were fine. I think this difference took away a bit of the hype this drama would've gotten, but overall I don't think it's underrated or unsuccessful🤷♀
Well I never knew about it until I was bored went on Netflix and seem AIB and was like😑!

Season 1 of AIB is way better than the entire squid game
One thing I love about chishuya is not only is he observant and calculated, he’s also a realist and it’s not just a persona he’s putting on, that’s how he actually is. What makes him different from the rest of the players is that he doesn’t care if he lives or dies, just if he’s right or wrong. He looks at these games as they are, just games, and not means of survival. He’s a genius.
Crazy how shows like Wednesday is overrated but this masterpiece in Alice in Borderland is underrated. Insane how it works.

I will always stand by Chishiya being the best character, if he was a citizen/face card (i.e. King of Diamonds) the chances of survival would be near impossible.

Y'all give him too much credit, he was dead meat if the king of 💠 had decided to keep living. Also just observing and let others do the work is a good survival technique but doesn't mean he would have the screwedness and intellect to be a citizen and succeed.

Netflix version of Chishiya is almost too perfect. In the manga Chishiya never played this game cause he's just bad at heart games. Remember that in 10 of heart game, he used only logic and was far from finding the witch. Those two guys you see win in the end, Banda Sunato and Yaba Oki; they were really scary, manipulative and absolutely smart. After that game (10 times better in the manga), I prayed for them to never meet Chishiya and the other.
Chishiya is very cool though. He reminds me Akiyama in Liar Game.

i don't know if you guys take recommendations but The Glory is a really good show that came out recently and season 2 is being released this March. It's definitely a good watch!

I love the way they straight up told us who the Jack of Hearts was in the first couple minutes of the game. The Jack of Hearts is also commonly known as the One Eyed Jack

I feel like this episode is when this new season starts to really pick up. It gets very very dark and fast and crazy from here until the last episode. I've seen other reactors saying this show could be better than Squid Game. I agree 100%. It truly is next level. You have NO IDEA what is coming, fellas!

I love how you guys just enjoy the story and accept the AiB world building. This is a live action full of some “absurdity” present in mangas, and the show explores it really well. Like aguni fighting and punching a panther, that car crash where kuina is the only one hurt with just a broken nail, some characters sticking with the same clothes (or even if they change, they keep the style) or dudes falling from buildings, being shot, thrown in the fire and still returning in another episode. Its so annoying when reactors keeps saying “it’s not possible” for some of these things, like well this is a tv show it’s all made up dude anything is possible!

Banda Sunato (the serial killer) = Bandersnatch
Yaba Oki (Man in Suit) = Jabberwocky

Yeah the rule of the hearts game said you just can’t use violence to kill. Since the whole point is to kill people off until you get the jack of hearts. Otherwise it woulda just been a battle royale lol but glad y’all caught on

If you get the chance I highly recommend a drama called "Dr. Romantic"!! Internationally it's not as popular as it should be imo.
It's a medical, comedy, melodrama - sometimes it can get really serious and intense and from watching your reactions to "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" I think you might like it :)

Noticed the character appearance too. The Jack of Hearts, both in card and the character, is only showing one eye. Also, Chishiya has the best games this season.
Maybe I'm wrong I think the other guy in the black suit had some psychopath tendencies hence they clicked quickly that's how i saw it

Chishiya is the coldest yea, but also in a more literal sense too. He's far from the most intelligent character in the show, or some relaxed know it all Light Yagami tumblr sexyman like a lot of reactors say. He's clever and perceptive instead, like putting all ur DnD points into Wisdom and not Intelligence.
He's also literally cold and apathetic, that's his whole character arc so far and i wish more people would appreciate him for that instead
