Don't be nervous! Remember, there is no use have anxiety in advance of something. Embrace the opportunity!

Stay ready my guy
What cc?
Connecticut College?
Much love man! Sophmore in the UK and just picked up badketball this year. Ive made tons of progress and have joined my local team, watching your vids and all this is helping me calm my nerves which is really killing my game. Keep it up man and thanks for all the help!
Thank you, you keep it up as well! Love to hear your story, nerves are a part of the game, especially if your career is just starting. The more you gain confidence in your skills, the more you will be able to handle it.

So Proud of You Tucker Sports U for Life Keep putting out great content.
Yessir, will do! Thanks!
Bro is putting us all on for free
Glad to help!
Love the video man. Great and real insight on how to make the most of your journey playing college ball.
Thank you! That is the goal.
Thanks for the creation of your channel and sharing your experience as a high caliber player.
You are welcome. Sharing my experiences has brought so much joy to me, so I'm going to continue it.
Damn bro thanks for your videos
Cuse fan here who watched you light us up live in the dome last year. For those of yall who havent seen Tucker play he's a dog!
Haha I appreciate this. That was one of the most fun games of my career.
Love this, the don’t suffer in advance tip is something I definitely struggle with
It is so difficult to work through, not just in basketball, but in life! But the more you are aware of it, the more you can control it.
Fire video, I play at a division 2 school in NC keep up with the great content!
Thank you! Keep working!
This is a great video! I’m gaining more and more respect for Colgate every day, your college teammate Oliver cooked me and my friends last week in runs at chapel hill lol
Haha Oli is the man and a tough player. Best shooter I've seen!
Post grad hooper here, also wisconsin fan and u gained my respect after i watched u knock down daggers but you did give us a scare ngl😂 needed this advice a lot as i’m faced with a lot of decisions after post grad and thanks for sharing
I gotchu man. We almost had Wisconsin! I also did a PG year, definitely a big time with important decisions. Hope it all works out for you.
@@TuckerRichardson Thanks a lot for the response! I’ll definitely be staying up to date on all of your hooping videos as I am a shooter as well. I’m just trying to get better at decision making and being more aggressive because nobody sees me as a threat to driving so i normally just get face guarded
literally my situation rn! gotta keep working man
Great advice
Appreciate it!
Great vid bro, Im trying to hoop at D3 from the UK in a year or 2 and this channel has been super helpful appreciate it
Thanks man. I'm glad to have helped, keep up the work!
Arun did you just start playing basketball?
Been playing for 2 years but if youve just started youll be fine so long as your grinding
@@Arun-sLngh ha that’s cool I woke up tonight. And I had a nightmare It would be an impossible task😂 then I saw your comment so I feel better
This video doesn’t just work for college but for the sport of basketball in general, nice vid
Thank you!
This is a great video, Tucker! I liked the details and the lessons you shared. 🏀
Thank you!
Josh Smiler on a Tucker Richardson video. Dang. Awesome!!
@@GlitchedPhoenix😂
Excellent video.
Thank you!
I started basketball 2 years ago in 7th and last year was riding the bench and I have made a huge improvement on umy handle
Thats great! Keep working!
thank you so much.
Always welcome!
Great video, I just graduated highschool and want to play college ball. My biggest issue is really finding my role on the team. I’m only 6’4 but I’ve been more or less forced to play big man my whole career so I often feel out of place on offense
Thanks for the comment! My advice would be to definitely develop guard skills because at the higher levels, being 6'4" normally means you are going to be a guard. Keep working and I hope it all works out for you!
being diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, #16 is a huge one. i would almost have panic attacks and constantly worry about conditioning
It is so difficult in basketball and in life not to suffer in advance. We work ourselves up so easily over things completely out of our control. Try to live in each moment!
Great advice!
Thank you!
For number 2 on a professional level look at someone like UD for Miami. He was never the most talented player on that team but he is a very important part of that team
This is a great example! He is a winner no matter what.
Thank you
You are welcome!
Know that God is coming back one day and He loves you!
Güzel video abicim🙏
Thank you!
I wish more kids could get that they can have an impact without playing. Some of the kids I coach seem to think of they aren't on the court, they're a failure. Some of my favorite players are ones that didn't play much.
Exactly, you can still bring so much value to a winning team in all the little ways.
@@TuckerRichardson I love this video. I'm going to share it with all my athletes moving forward, even though I don't coach basketball. This is gold.
@@ClayHales Wow thank you!
Yooo my boy Nick was ur teamate that guy is a BALLER Miami dawg
Haha Nick is THAT guy!
Thanks for this awesome video man, it really helps me out for my dreams about collage basketball. But I have 1 question : Is it really matters where I am form? I mean I am from Serbia and in my mind is always that they don't want a guy out of state. Is that true? Is scholarship more expensive for me or for guy in state? Is that even matters?
Lots of great questions. I don't have all the answers, but what I will say is that it is certainly possible to play college basketball in the US from outside of the country. In fact I would say the number of international players is steadily rising each year in college basketball. If you are good enough and they can watch your film, then it doesn't matter where you come from.
the music on the background is magic someone can tell me the name pls??
I'm glad you like it haha
I have a question I’m in Arkansas Razorback fan and when you put them in basketball March madness, what did they say to you where they nice
They were fine, it was a great matchup!
Hey man !! I’m guru so I played naia d1 college basketball but on a jv team my first year I’m trying to ncaa d1 I’m trying another route u think it’s a good decision because I thought it would be harder form naia d1 jv so I’m taking a diff route what u think
I am certainly not an expert on NAIA, however I do know it is really high level. As for getting to the D1 level, it really just depends on your circumstances and the school. Keep working!
Hey man, quick question, i started basketball seriously at 15, do you think that its still possible to make the NBA? currently i train 2-3 times everyday and i basically live and breath basketball, i play division 2 ball in monaco, and i plan on going to america to train in offseason & I used to play other sports so i have a athletic backround, so if you think there is a chance, what do you think the most important things are? but also im just thinking all these people started very young, althought jimmy butler started at 16 i dont know haha, thats basically just the only thing that is kind of putting me down any tips?
My response would be that if you live and breath basketball, that means you clearly love the game. And if you truly love the game, then you should continue to work as hard as you are at getting better, and not worry so much about what your outcome might be. We all know how hard it is to make the NBA, so instead of making the NBA your goal, I think your goal should be to become the best player you possibly can, and enjoy the process along the way. Remember, its about the process, not the results.
@@TuckerRichardsonAlright thanks, will do so, i think i will still have NBA as one of the goals just because well haha go big or go home you know, but yea thats true i never really thought about that thank you
@@stablecherry Definitely dream high! I am not trying to stop you from that, just want to make sure you see the value in the work you put in every day. So keep going!
Hey man, I'm a Junior in high school standing at about 6'6" and I've been trying to transition to playing a wing instead of a center. I already think I have enough skill to play this position but none of my coaches are giving me a chance. Are there any specific things you think I should work on or show my coaches? I'm just looking for advice on how to handle this situation.
I would say, you don't have to necessarily play the wing position to do wing/guard stuff in games. For instance, if you get a rebound and then dribble up the court and start the offense, you are proving you can handle the ball and make good decisions. It is definitely a tricky situation being stuck as big, so you have to create opportunities for yourself that display your guard skills.
Thanks a lot for your quick reply man, I'll definitely use this during practices.@@TuckerRichardson
Bro really had to throw so much flack at Wisconsin💀
Did I?
What is your stretching rutine
It is fairly basic, usually takes about 15 minutes before every practice, as well as the lengthy stretching we do as a team during practice. I just use it to get my body feeling good before practice starts.
Im 16 and 5’11, do you think I can make it?
There are so many factors that go into basketball success, but I truly believe anyone can make it to the level they strive for if they put in the work.
5 years in college and still not in the NBA
You figured me out!
@@TuckerRichardson you should do individual workouts with NBA trainers and athletes if you are serious about basketball at the next level.
We should 1 v 1 I am a hooper as well
Maybe one day!
@@TuckerRichardson would there be a way that could happen? It would be awesome to 1 v 1 a professional hooper
U never had a thought trying to make it to the NBA??
Of course I did! It isn't as easy as you might think haha
@@TuckerRichardson I did but undrafted? Can you explain the process from our POV?
@@ytfurykiller8990 Sure. Basically after your last year of college basketball, you hire an agent and see where there is interest in you. As of now, there is no interest in me being in the NBA. I could potentially play in the G-League, but it isn't something I am interested in. Maybe I should make a whole video outlining why I didn't play in the NBA 😂
i would love personally!!@@TuckerRichardson
Did you get unlimited free toothpaste playing at Colgate?
Unfortunately not...
@@TuckerRichardson what a scam 😖
