Good information for first time buyers but might want to also check your state's gun laws and consider how long it will take to get necessary permits/license. These will factor in size of mags allowed and what paperwork is required & how long it will take your local sheriff's office to process paperwork.

I love the way the S&W M&P semiautos feel and function. Having experience with dozens and dozens, the M&P sub-compact/compact and full size have the best feel and good control surfaces. Best control surfaces, but not best feel, goes to H&K USP compact and P30 (sorry, but in fairness they also come at a higher price).

💯 agree. I love my S&W M&P 2.0 metal. Especially the trigger. FAST reset. You can unload 17 rounds at your target in. No time

Great information. To bad most people don't even consider these things before buying.

💯 agree Ken. I think I did a month worth of research on Smith&Wesson M&P 9mm M2.0 metal before I made my purchase. I gotta say. That pistol. 😎🤘. I look forward to buying the Competitor version

This would cool if there was actually options to purchase a particular firearm when there’s isn’t much these days

Never feel compelled to buy "anything" over nothing. There are some bad guns out there that seem like a bargain. Stick with major brands: S&W, Colt, Ruger.

Smith and wesson 2.0 subcompact would have been 9mm. Now with ammo shortages, considering 40.

Most important consideration : If the gun has a Hillary Hole lock, leave it and go buy a Ruger or a Colt.

    • @Lee-fi4vo

The lock may be removed and _very_rarely_ malfunctions. A gent manufactures a plug to fill it.

Tip - make sure you don't have an unpaid littering ticket in Ohio.
