- We are back with an update on my Howling Griffon Army. I have now completed a 10 man Devastator unit which has really broken the back of this challenge.

Absolutely LOVE how vibrant you went with the blue. I've seen a few Howling Griffon attempts and they always chicken out and go for a more Prussian blue :D Really awesome project mate!
Cheers mate. Yeah if you going to do it you got to go all out! 😜
Very nice work there ol chap. I think the high elf book had a similar theme with new troops being archers as further from the enemy...
Haha 😂 cheers Cal 👌
Nice stuff! It's always encouraging to see someone follow through with a project :9
Cheers man. Yeah it really was a childhood dream to have this army so that is pushing me on somewhat 👌
As I said before, that blue is so vibrant, and really pops next to the red and yellow.
Some impressive firepower those guys are kicking out. 2 Lascannons, Missile Launcher, and a Heavy Plasma Cannon.
Looking to seeing the full project completed.
Cheers mate. Yeah can’t wait to get them finished and on the table 👍
Glad to see this project ticking along so well. Keep it up.
Thank you kind sir. Got the bit between my teeth now the end is in sight
Good to see your progress...Looking awesome!
Cheers Dan. Your support defo motivates me 👌
Great progress on your project, very inspiring! I just painted up three testmodels for my HowlingGriffons and try to get more of the old heavy weapons made from metal.
Cheers mate. You don’t happen to be noerdic painter on instagram do you?
@@JonnyWatsonGaming absolutely correct, that’s me.
Ahh your tests look amazing! Can’t wait to see more 👌
Nice. Great work.
I always thought the idea of Scouts being promoted to Devastators odd. Did it really make sense to go from recon work to hefting the heavy weapons? But the explanation given here makes more sense: newly promoted initiates are paired up with presumably more experienced marines who _actually_ carry the heavy weapons, providing support while the squad sits in the back of the fighting and takes pot-shots. You certainly wouldn't throw newbies onto the front lines.
Yeah when I read it I thought that made much more sense myself. In a 10 man squad the new recruits are the guys with bolters not the ones with the heavy weapons 👍
Well done again mate on another fantastic looking unit ❤
Thanks Joshua really enjoying this project. Only a few things left to go
This has inspired me to start my dream Waaaagh of mostly gretchin. They're not 2nd Ed minis, as I gotta save where I can and enjoy supporting my FLGS, but they will be painted in that style with Goblin Green bases. When I can, I do plan on scattering some 2nd Ed gretchin in there at some point, seeing as I want four 30 grot squads.
This comment makes it all worth while. I’m so glad this project has helped to tip you over the edge to start you own crazy project. Best of luck. Please feel free to join my Discord server where you can share your progress 👍❤️
Very impressive marines
Ahh thanks mate. I’m slowly getting there 👌👍
Nicely done
Cheers Ben 👌👍
Beautiful army ❤
Cheers mate 👌
They look great Johnny.
What will the list look like when the project is finished?
So this part of the challenge I will finish with about 2000 pts. But I will build on that 👍👌
What, no godwyn pattern bolters! 😂
Hahaha! Ain’t nobody got money for dat! 😝😂
Nice army! Where is the background from?
Thank you 🙏 The background is an online piece of art I bought years ago.
