I know it's probably too late to be a helpful tip, but I used #3 flat head screws to hold my Tomy track down. I made the holes larger by using the stepped angled blade on my xacto knife and twirling it into the hole by hand until the hole was big enough for the screw to sit flat (the angled blade created a counter bore for the screw). Kind of time consuming, but I can just unscrew and change any track I may need to change. And no grinding!
The oval is looking great by the way!

Why would you not drill and countersink the holes in track and screw down as opposed to nailing. The screw heads would then be below surface of track and you could then just fill and sand off? Also if you’re nailing a nail punch might be a good idea.👍🇦🇺😎🏁

I made something very similar to this years ago
I used AFX 6" curves in the centre and Tyco 9" on the outside, this gave an even lane spacing between the three outside lanes and the slightly tighter spacing of the lanes on AFX track between the two inside lanes
I can't remember the exact length it might have been three 15" straights and one 9" or two 15" and two 9"
I used Tyco plastic outer borders on the curves and strips of wood along the straights the board was cut as an oval, I used some plastic strip around the outside as a barrier nailed and glued to the outside edge of the particleboard base
I used countersunk screws to fix the track to the board the screws allowed for adjustment as I'd used a thin foam (yoga mat?) as an insulation/sound barrier under the track
If you tried to sink nailheads into this stuff with a punch it would probably cause the track to split 🇦🇺

If you lay an oval at a diagonal, you can fit some longer straights to it.
Also, buy yourself a nail punch, or grind an old and rather long bolt to somewhat of a point.

Nice attempt on the "Wall".... I've seen videos on folks applying steam to bend wood but that would be too involved.
Anywho, I found in Lowes online store and probably Home Depot has a similar item:
Item# 810404 may just be the thing you need at Lowes Landscaping dept. it's called " easy flex black plastic landscaping edging roll "
A visit to either home center's landscape dept. should hopefully help your " Wall " construction.. You're not the only one have "Wall" issues these days.......................
