What do you find most interesting about Shannon & Sterling Sharpe’s childhood?
No idea make the video live
Growing in a poor household and still able to reach peak of their life
There ambition beat there condition
Their bond. It’s something that can’t be fabricated this is how true family acts. You don’t see this as much now a days
What I find most interesting is how they faced so much adversity early on and yet become very successful. Nothing but respect to the sharpe brothers ✊
Hey Shannon, as a White guy raised by a racist father, I wanna thank you for being the one to bring the light to my father finally. He's watched every episode of Skip and Shannon since the first week, and he always says he loves how wise you are and your grandmoms quotes and wisdom. Much appreciated. Hope everything keeps going good for you, you deserve it!
Love this. This is how sports bridges divides!
This took balls to say. Way to go John
Respect!
I also grew up with a racist father but my experience in desegregated schools and the military allowed me to see he was wrong. Love watching the Sharpes. I don’t always agree with Shannon but it is asa man not the melenoin in his skin.
Thank u. And god bless u, ur father, and ur family. Skip and shannon changes lives and have a way better impact on sports and the world then any other TV show. Love uncle shay and drip baulous keep up gods good work.
Man Shannon and Sterling are just walking books full of stories and lessons, these Sharpe guys are mad inspiring

Fa real bruh!!!
@Click It This man pounds the table about racist issues on a NATIONAL platform..And you really think your little march of protest is doing more then Shay ? Man be gone with that.
Man look at the smile on Shannon's face he's still in awe of his big brother.
Never a huge Shannon fan but was a HUGE Sterling fan (favorite player all time). But they were raised correctly even with more disadvantage than 90 percent of the world they learned the most important lesson. Family is everything
@@NobodyUR when u have love surrounding you, you make do with everything else.
Love the respect he has for his brother. That’s beautiful!!!!
Man I notice this too
I love it
They are soo close they been through it all together man! I actually shed tears multiple times during this interview no bs. I feel sorry that they had to work so hard and struggle. But I'm so thankful to know they both are successful and enjoying life now
I loved Shannon’s HOF speech when he said that he’s the only Hall of Famer who isn’t even the best player in his family
Eli manning proved him wrong

Great Upbringing that is The "Sharpe Brothers" Solid Foundation for the
Success they have Today! God Bless Yall. 🙏👨🦱❤👨🦱❤
Selfless.
I can tell Shannon really respect his brother
Sterling Sharpe is a legend. One of my favorite receivers.
His brother was basically his father figure
Sterling was cold.
Who doesn't
As a white man, watching Shannon in the mornings, he has really helped turn around my view on social issues. He has spoken of perspectives and things I never thought about. He’s my favorite analyst now! Mad respect
respect brother
💯
Much respect. 💯
Respect
Next step is to just look at yourself as a Man. Without the titles
These 2 are a prime example of hardwork pays off
Amen 🙏 well said 💯
Sometimes it doesn't though
sterling seems like such a great older brother. Very calm, cool, collected and mature. You can see that Shannon really looks up to him and values his approval.
So true 💯 I love there relationship seems so cool
facts facts and facts
This is the best like to dislike ratio I have ever seen.
Go watch that justzeke dayum that ratio 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It should be, for Goat Sharpe.
Skip bayless probably disliked the video.
You're setting up trolls with this comment
Skip gone be on the show too.
Shannon Sharpe quickly becoming the best sports analyst imo. The brand is strong 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Juan carlos I thought those guys were more than pure sports. Don’t know if they Better than Shannon IMO
You mean has been . And I’m a cowboys fan
He already is
Heck no he is the biggest clown.
w chan “heck no”
Shannon, and Sterling you all should have your story made into a movie because the world needs to see this kind of brotherly love. There are so many life lessons in your story that the WORLD needs to see. The love that you have for your big brother, and the love he has for you could be felt through this CZcams video. So I can only imagine what that bond would do for the world! Thanks for sharing your story.
I don't think a movie could show the love and character these two gentlemen exhibit.
I said something similar? Write a book please, what an interesting, transparent bio? I'm ready for it!
real life is always better than the movie. just send them a link to this video
I’ve heard Shannon talk about his brother 100 times. I’ve never heard sterling open up this way. This interview was INCREDIBLE. Heart warming. Loved every min of it. Thanks guys!
Love yall...Sharpe men...
Sharp Men they are ❤
The sharpest of men
I'm 42.
People have NO IDEA how good Sterling Sharpe was.
Funny thing is I am 2 years behind you and I loved the way that they played one thing is true is that it was most definitely a race. Between them both, as much as others, modeled themselves to be like other receiver attributes and accolades 🙌 no one was like these Jerry and Sterling at the wide receiver position. You had cocky, and arrogant players that were good but couldn't show the humility that these 2 had. I could personally have my own list. I was so sure that I myself was going to be in the NFL as we all dream but the league doesn't have what these players had not as talent but true pure hearts. I loved watching these men play because they sat the standard of being professionals. To HBCU's and Some colleges that some athletes get over looked for because academia and financial criteria. As I would list some great WR's. Who aren't even mentioned in Hall Conversations. Sterling Sharpe, Drew Pearson, Irving Fryar, Wayne Chrbet, Andre Rison, amongst others that I could mention but again this would influence on and off field affairs. But we have to look at the attitudes and behaviors of the people who deservingly should be in the HOF. The NFL has become political not the game that it was meant to be whereas the blue collared entertainment that was for men to become community driven.
I've got you by a few years and a 2nd this motion. He was stars were better than Jerry Rice some years before the neck injury. He was truly a beast.
If he didn't had that injury and had played more with B.Farve he would of been a shoe-in for hall of fame and have a couple of SB rings and more records in his name
Agreed. This guy could NOT be stopped.
As a lifelong Detroit Lions fan I know all to well. Sterling Sharpe probably went across the middle better than ANYONE ELSE EVER.
You can tell Shannon really love his brother!
This reminds me of me and my brother
488 people dislike this video is a great example of no matter how much you're loved, give love, be a great example, and give hope, there are always people not liking you.
Keep up the great work Unk‼️‼️
Never even noticed that number 😂🤦♂️
They don't like them selfs. Ignore them.
And no one cares about them either.
You can tell just by the preview that Shannon really loves his brother with all his heart… almost as if he was holding back tears just talking about him and how he inspired him to be who he is today. That’s love right there.
Both stayed humbled, both "in my opinion" are underated for what they accomplished in the nfl
Sterling is a hall of famer to me
Shannon is a hall of famer. So “underrated” is completely the wrong word to use
Dre Savage he should be considered the best tight end of all time because he is.
Shannon is not underrated he gets credit & respect. His bro is most definitely underrated
Kevin Pierce how can someone who was a 5x pro bowler, 3x all pro, and Considered the 1st or 2nd best receiver (next to Jerry Rice) when he played be underrated?
I've learned more life lessons from Shannon in 3 years then in 7 years of watching Skip and Stephen A
Probably Bc those two don’t try to add in life lessons even when the opportunity pops up from time to time
Factual
Then your father has failed you
The Truth sports teach life lessons also
Shannon > Steven A
It is absolutely wonderful to see the kindness, humbleness and respect these two awesome brothers possess 🙏🏽Their grandparents did an excellent job raising them!
May the Most High continue to Bless these awesome Brothers.🙏🏼
Shannon giving Sterling his flowers during his HOF speech is one of the HOF's greatest moments. I watched both of guys play in the NFL and enjoyed watching how hard they worked to be amongst the best.
Great English dickhead
voting: Yes deserving of HOF
First episode: bringing on his big brother. Uncle Shay Shay keeps it a buck!
A dollar for every 1,000 chickens caught 🤯 respect to both of you !
That's ridiculous.
That's a difference with sibling relationships now, Shannon respected and trusted his brother's judgment and opinions.
I wish my older brother was more like Sterling, but I understand that him not having his father in his life even though he could have been showed him that he is not accountable for the growth of other males in the family since we do as our parents do. It just brings me joy to see how much these 2 good brothers have supported each other throughout the years
He had to you obviously didn't grow up like this
I thought Shannon is the only gifted talker among Sharpe's. Just found out, Sterling is a gifted talker too. Sterling can make a living talking as well.
Two great talkers and analysts from one family. I am highly amazed by what I'm looking at.
FINALLY Shannon got HIS OWN Platform!! SO Proud of you King! I'll be watching EVERY Episode!! Oh..... Keep DESTROYING Skip Ery Mornin bruh!! 💪🏽💪🏽
For context. Sterling was in route of being the leader in every statistical category in receiving while competing with Jerry Rice. That’s how good he was. So unfortunate that he got hurt
And then they disrespected him for leaving him out of the HOF...str8 garbage. He played 8yrs...there's a few players played 7 yrs and they in the hof..
Blong Vang practically all the players of the 50s and 60s played less than 8 years and there’s a bunch of them in the Hall
One of the best packers to ever put on a helmet
Sterling was a freaking monster. Strongest receiver I've ever seen put on a helmet.
BEASTMODE frfr💯💯💯....I loved Sterling, he the reason I became a Packers fan!
Sterling & Shannon, were well read, studious intelligent & very responsible.
These two guys have great respect & love for each others.
I love how their granny instilled a strong work ethic, respect for others and impeccable manners. If you have manners, you can go far in life.

It's Feb 2024 and I'm now checking Shannon's inaugural podcast...and MAAAN do my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to these brothers talk about their life. Many people would doubt the veracity of their story but if you grew up under the care and influence of wise, ethical people...everything makes sense. Among other things they are closer than many fraternal twins and share the same values so I won't be surprised if the are indeed, each other's best friend.
What Shannon is doing here on Club Shay Shay is so significant & valuable. These aren't just "interviews", these are "conversations" about life & life experiences.. including anything & everything beyond the field/court/set.. Not to mention Shannon is such a great human being. Nothing but love & respect 🙏👏
What people don't understand is that if Sterling Sharpe played another 3, 4 or more years. He would be in the "Best Ever" conversation.
Absolutely.
FACTS 💪
I have him in my, one of the most talented talk, and even top 5 talk. And obviously we all have him in our could've been the best talk..
He was Jerry Rice, Michael Irving, Cris Carter, and Randy Moss all in one and people dont know that because all they care about is spectacular catch receivers from todays game that dont know how to run routes, catch and runs and critical catches. All they care about is their brand. This dude Sterling was really the greatest teammate amd wide receiver ever and if he didnt get hurt, he would be the greatest ever
BigMallTV he was elite but he was no Jerry rice. Stop it. No one will ever surpass rice.
Even though a neck injury forced Sterling into early retirement Shannon carried on his older brother’s legacy 🙏🏾❤️
@Elizabath Middlewood Don't think he hasn't already asked on the DL for LBJ to come on 😂
And u right too
I’m just seeing this in 2023 and I love it! Shannon and Sterling have come a mighty long way!!! God bless these phenomenal men! 🙌🏾❤️🙌🏾❤️
The bond you both have is a reflection of how you two were raised it’s so awesome and touching
Sterling Sharpe, one of the greatest receivers in history. He needs to be in the HOF.
Yes he does!
Should have made centennial hall of fame class.
Yeah it’s an interesting balance that has to be struck between domination+time. For instance we could imagine if someone only played one season but that one season was so dominant like the best we’ve ever seen, a guy playing running back and scoring 30 touchdowns plus playing linebacker and leading the league in sacks and tackles something crazy like that but only playing one season and he gets in and then a guy like Eli Manning who was probably never even a top 5 Qb any given season but becomes a household name by being decently good for 18 years or whatever so he gets in too. There’s a balancing scale between that and I think he falls on the good side of that scale.
@@HueyPPLong Eli manning is gonna get in the hall cause of his postseason success and the fact that he beat the GOAT twice on the biggest stage
@@Netsfan24Eli doesn’t deserve to be in though objectively speaking.
Shannon's upbringing must be the reason he seems so humble. Stay humble, keep your faith in God and give back.
Shawnette Robinson Shannon is anything but humble .

Sterling Sharpe! what an amazing wide receiver. Legendary is understatement.
2 great men. How could anyone not have total admiration for these 2. Sterling should totally be in the Hall of Fame, but gosh, his character, class and humility makes him 1 of the best ever in my book.
I well NEVER forget when Shannon said that he was the only Hall Of Famer that was the 2nd best football player in his whole family not gonna lie if I were Sterling I would've cried too💪🏾💯
To make it to the Hall of Fame is the ultimate for NFL athlete and for Shay Shay to give up his moment for his brother speaks volumes. I actually did cry
This is a true brotherhood! Also, Sterling Sharpe should be in the Hall Of Fame!
it's criminal that he isn't. Anytime you play during Jerry Rice's prime and folks are having a Kobe/Bron debate relative to Sterling and Jerry? For 5-6 years? Nah, he is a HOF, probably the best receiver of his era.
@@masculinitymatters9030 FACTS!!!!
@@masculinitymatters9030 Irvin was a part of that discussion too

I'm two yrs late seeing this pcast but I truly loved it. Might be the best ive seen. The honestly love respect between brothers should be a blueprint for any sibling. I laughed and even teared up🤭🤫😁 The only thing missing is Shannon repeating his HOF mention that even though he got the gold jacket...The only player better than him is his brother. That is the ultimate love respect and commitment a man could receive. And IT'S TRUE!!!
‘I’ve never been prepared for the next step but was always prepared for whatever the next step was going to be.’ Wow I love that quote by Sterling.
I’m telling you 💯💯💯 One Of the best first podcast episodes I’ve ever seen
This man's love for his brother is a wonderful thing.
and that statement is true for both of them
Man I love Shannon. He always keeps it real and you know exactly where you stand with him. He was raised right and hasn't forgotten where he came from
There is a tapestry of love that was woven into the hearts of Shannon and Sterling by their grandparents and their appreciation gradutude for the life that they lived honoring the two people by being and doing their very best that they never gave their grandparents unnecessary cause to ever be disappointed or worried. The love these two have for their grandparents and sister is evidence and a demonstration of the love that they receive and simply reciprocated that same love back to their beloved grandparents and each other. Their story has inspired and had such a profound impact on me. Thank You Shannon and Sterling for sharing your love story… Truly amazing unity of love and life. God continued blessings!🤍 I believe your Papa and Grandmother did a stellar job of loving, keeping caring and bringing the three of you up. These two gentlemen are as impressive as it comes. Honest, humble, thoughtful. Hearing such personal family recollections like this like a family get together when do you see something like this? All the farm chores and snakes etc is just extremely impressive. It’s no wonder they were empowered to accomplish so much. So many people invested in them. Tremendous.
I loved this! Even shed a few tears. It reminded me of me being raised by my mom and grandparents (we were all in the house together) My grandfather was born 1913 from Fayetteville, GA and my grandmother 1921 from Union Point, Ga. Hard work and being a respectable person was something they instilled in me.
That's great.
Shannon Sharpe: The best tight end I ever saw. Not Gronk, not anyone unless their name is Shannon Sharpe. He changed the position. Massive respect.
Shannon was great but some will debate you and say Tony Gonzalez was better.
@Venus You are certainly right now that I think about it Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez set the standard in evolutionizing the TE positions.
@Razh 80 Yes I respect your take ,but I still believe Gonzalez and Gate evolutionize the TE position and by no means I'm saying Shannon Sharoe wasn't great i just do not believe he was better then Gonzalez or Gates.
Sterling Sharpe should be in the Hall of Fame. If Terrell Davis is in after 5 season then Sterling Sharpe should be in.
Sterling Sharpe was phenomenal!!!
Was it injuries that meant he couldn’t play?
Adrian Ads One injury... Sterling was a top 3 Wideout when at least 4 of the top 10 Wideouts of all time played... In a time where rushing champs outshined QBs
@@SirRobinson510 sterling was favres original go to number 1 weapon when Favre was a real gunslinger

Its not an excuse if your born into the world with terriable parents.
Sterling was my favorite WR during in his era. He was a beast! I have all his football cards as well as Shay's. Wont sell'm won't trade em. I love the family analogies Shay shares with us on undisputed.
Yes - Sterling was really good!
Didn’t realize how amazing Sterling was from a statistical standpoint:
Shannon almost played double the career of Sterling, but Sterling had more touchdowns and more thousand yard seasons. Sterling had 42 touchdowns over his final 3 seasons, including 18 in his last year!
Sterling was a WR while Shannon was a TE. Two different positions, so I’m not sure if that’s a fair comparison. Just my opinion.
TwistedViper215 It’s still double the games with less production. The tight end position isn’t expected to produce to the same as a WR in that regard, but we’re talking about a HOF tight end and arguably top 5 ever to play the position in a sample size that’s literally double. It doesn’t reflect negatively on Shannon, but it speaks to who Sterling was
Granted he was a WR
Your grandmother did a wonderful job raising you Shannon. I wish she could see how far her prayers have taken you. Congrats on your new podcast❤️
This is how my older brother talks with me just never really noticed it. Love you big bro! 💪🏾
