I need a movie based upon your life Shannon. Some of these young men need to see, hear, and understand that it takes perseverance to achieve their goals.
🥲thank you Miss Porter for being a selfless person
You did it Shannon....you made your grandmother PROUD!
👏🏾💯👏🏾
For his grandfather to have died at 8, and him to have retained soooo much of his wisdom and quotes, is astounding.
Bro that shocked me too. I always just assumed he was at least in his teens. But Shannon is one hell of a Man.
I'm so glad I ran into series of interviews by Joe Buck. These are great.
Shannon isn’t lying. Some places in Georgia is that RIGHT NOW!!! In 2023
Yeah they are great but why are these old interviews just showing up now though?
Man Shannon had me in tears bruh he really loved his grandmother. 🙌🏾👍🏾👏🏾🙏🏽
I miss my grandmother. That brought me to tears
I cried more than he did. What an amazing man and family!
I’m not crying you are. 😢😢😢 so sad. But a awesome story much love UNC!
Man.. its dusty in here. Got something in my eye. Wife is cutting onions.
I love listening to Mr Sharpe. God Bless you all
DAMMIT Shannon the talk abt his grandmother at the end tore me up. I was super close to mine as well. When she passed a lot of me died as well. I've never been the same. Shannon much love and respect from Houston Tx.
🙏🏽
It broke me too and I KNOW the story. I hear him all the time talk about it, but it always affects me -- probably because I know it's genuine. Between that and when he talks about Sterling and the milk, I need a whole box of tissue - lol.
He's a GREAT role model for men everywhere. Keep it up Shannon much luv from the chi!
I think we all broke at that point. 🤧

When talks about his grandma I cried
This Sharpe dude always make me pick Onions! What a special human
All I can say is WOW, WOW, what a great man and life well done.
😢 Damn Shay Shay. Had me in tears man. That's real Love !
Shannon needs to write a book. We gotta put that in his ear
I have said that in the comments of both of his shows so many times. I would buy it.
I'm a Broncos fan and I have always been a Shannon fan. But wow, I really enjoyed Shannon opening up about the love and admiration he had for his grandmother and his brother. I really like Joe Buck interviews
You listen to Shannon now you know why I have so much respect for this man
I was just thinking, how could skip Bayless dismiss and devalue this man’s life accomplishments!! Shannon Sharpe’s legacy will far exceed anyone’s expectations
Dismiss? He gave him his opportunity for life after football? How quick you forgot. If you referring to the Brady comments, it was for good tv.
@@dipset22554😂
Skip Bayless isn't fit to wash Shannon's uniform!
@@dipset22554 😂
@@mintcarrier you know this
Hard to keep a dry eye watching this one! Class act think your grandmother would be proud. Well done
Mannn, the grandmother talk got me in my feels!!
Being raised by Grandparents, listening to his story, and today being Thanksgiving, brought back lots of memories and lots of tears. Shannon, thanks for sharing! My grandmother saved us from Foster care and becoming wards of the state.
Blessed you guys are!🙏🏾
God loves grandparents who do TWO tours of duty raising children.
God bless you and your grandmother
Shannon, I pray you, your granny, family and friends will celebrate in God’s kingdom in heaven.
Shannon is so real. What a great interview.
I have that same pain Shannon described when his granny passed. A piece of me died when my father lost his battle with cancer. It happened again when my mother passed. I still think of them, and tears fill my eyes. Cause a piece of dies, too. This interview had joy and pain. Great interview!
I EXACTLY know how Mr. Sharpe life is, especially with his grandparents and the rural , rural south upbringing. Much respect to both Sharpe Brothers. Young people, take notice . Humble yourself, and God will direct you in the RIGHT path of life
Awesome interview. Shannon is one of the best players in NFL🇺🇸💪👊☝️
Was one of the best,he retired 20 years ago
😢
Terrible interviewer. His transition and non emotion kills me.
Shout out to 4-H! I got to go to 4-H camp and to Oregon State University camp and stayed in the dorms. I met other kids from all over the state. I knew from that point on that I was going to college, and did. We need to bring 4-H back. It made great kids!!! Some are still friends today at 61! ❤
Incredible story. Thank you Mr. Sharpe for sharing. The story with John Elway telling what you needed to do on each play. Man amazing.
Every young man needs to listen to this!
Shannon Sharp for president
Shannon would be an absolute perfect Commisioner for the NFL he would make such a positive impact on the NFL in that role he understands where players are coming from and the executive side also! I am huge Steelers fan who was huge fan of both Sterling and Shannon because of how they played the game! Seen Shannon many times at steeler vs ravens game at M & T Stadium as I live 50 minutes from baltimore have lots of family in Baltimore and my uncle always gives me two tickets for Steelers game he’s a ravens season pass holder seats are right behind ravens bench on 50 yard line could alway hear Shannon can he ever talk some shit to opponent and could he ever back it up I think he’s in top 5 best TE ever and put Sterling there as a receiver both of them could just take a game over! Both class men
Love that man. I wish the Broncos had a leader like him again.
Great man but fuck the broncos
Russell's not him?
Maybe that’s all the grandma needed was to know he’s the best of the best.
Shannon is the man I have so much respect for him and admire his fight to get to the NFL love how he has so much love for his grandmother and respect and love he has for her! He such a man of pure class integrity and pure character!
I love Shannon Sharpe. He deserves every bit of success he’s ever earned. On the field & off the field ✌🏾
I can totally relate. I promised my grandmother I would also take care of her. They play along when you say it...but no one knows if it will be a reality. Just like Shannon...I made it a reality, and she lives an extraordinary life as she deserves. Also, Shannon is right again. Many older black people don’t always tell you they love you, but their actions show the love. Less talk and more execution.
Real shit. It's a different feeling listening to this. If you ever been through it . Shit made me cry I love Shannon Sharpe that my dawg
It’s many of the old school male generation, regardless of race. It’s that “tough” thing! But they always showed it through actions.
My grandmother passed as well recently. I'm gonna make her proud like Shannon...
A True Raven!
Joe Buck, thanks for bringing out the humanity in these famous people.
Damn never seen Shannon like this, he really opened up at the end.....
Watch his hall of fame speech… it hits the heart
God Bless You Shannon Sharpe🙏🏽👍
One of the best interviews I’ve seen. The one thing I took out of this was Discipline. I’m lacking on that a bit, but having a plan and executing with nothing else wavering is one of the best feelings ever. To anyone reading this stay the course! Even if it takes years. The constructive work you do in between will flip in ways you can’t ask for 🙏🏽
I had to comment on this one. My spirit has been whispering discipline in my ear. I finally got the msg. We can do this. I'm tired of slacking. Wish you the best
@@queencandace6675Hell yeah! I went from being incredibly undisciplined to really disciplined. Opiate addict, once weighted 370 pounds. Discipline takes practice but can actually be learned. Anyone can do it! Losing 200 pounds and quitting opiates after 14 years isn’t easily. Not patting myself on the back, just trying to help anyone I can.
I've been watching several of these, now, and every one of them is eye-opening. Good job, Joe and staff!
Great Interview!
Joe Buck is so effective because he is perceptive and respectful and speaks to truth which allows
these strong personalities to open
up and reveal themselves authentically.
What an amazing story. I always thought that Mr. Sharpe seemed grounded, but now I know how he became the man he is now. Wow……
Awesome interview. So humble and emotional.
Dammit unc you got me dropping tears
Even after watching him on TV every day for years, still learned so much about him here rhat i didnt know.
One thing i cant quite believe - he actually only had one week in the beginning of the offseason where he wasnt full go training and able to lay back a bit and meet up with old friends? Or did he mean like before minicamps/OTAs started (a few months after the season)
Got a chance to see Shannon like i've never seen him before. i can't watch him now on ESPN but this was beautiful. "He talk too much not to be able to do something." He' was his own superhero, he didn't need the Incredible Hulk. i like what he said : "Winning never feels as good as losing hurts."
Shannon I had same love for my Nan too was hardest day ever when I lost her and as u said part of me died! Shannon a granny couldn’t of had a better grandson you did her so proud you were a champion grandson! Our grandmas love us no matter what we do no wrong in their eyes the love for a grandma is like no other you have me crying now too thinking of my Nan and you and your granny ! Your such a genuine true role model!
I’ve heard his story many of times cuz I’m a super fan but I almost started crying cuz we forget or don’t know how poor these people grow up
Shannon is the man. I love his insight on life. Very powerful stuff man.
You need to be a motivational speaker Shannon have me in tears
The GOAT-I remember when my Broncos drafted him when I was 12...we just knew we got Sterlings brother in 7th round. Shannon was doing things tight ends didn't do back then with few exceptions-Winslow,Gonzales,maybe Newsome...I'll never forget his clinching catch vs Pittsburgh in 1997(January 1998) AFC title game.
Shannon is obviously a tremendous talent as a player who also managed to become a first-rate broadcaster .Just love him.
Thank you my Southern Brother.
It was a pleasure to watch you and your brother play ball.
One of the best all time. No debate.
I'd hear bits and pieces from this incredible man and athlete and admire him for all his accomplishments, but this interview was so moving I cried along with him. The one thing he has always had is his wonderful family. I am a little bit older than Shannon, and I agree with him 100% that our generation and generations before us were some of the most resilient and resourceful people ever. Yes. They don't make them like that anymore. Great job, Joe.
I believe that may have been the most inspirational interview I have ever witnessed!! Every word spoken by Shannon was so powerful. It was a thing of beauty. Thank you Joe for this epic conversation. Everyone needs to see this, especially young boys and girls growing up in this difficult world today!!! WOW!! Just thanks again.
I was thrilled when he went to Ravens cause I knew I would get to see him play between Shannon and Ray Lewis the mouths were going
His story is one for everyone and eternity.
Shannon is a good man. Period.
Joe Buck has become the new Roy Firestone of today!! Everybody cries in his interviews! Who would have thunk it 😂
WONDERFUL INTERVIEW WITH ONE OF THE GREATS IN SPORTING HISTORY, MR SHANNON SHARPE ❤🎉
I love Shannon Sharpe and his brother Sterling Sharpe 😊❤
Undeniably this was one of the greatest interviews I've ever watched, he's just so humble and warm...i think he's greatly misunderstood really, because i think he'd make a great companion, husband, friend and i hope he finds the woman in his life that Compliments ... that's Compatible... that's Compassionate for him. He's a great ♂️ man.
Sucks his grandmother never got to see him as a professional **** But she would be so proud he touched millions of lifes
Shannon Awesome interview LOVE IS AMAZING!!! You will see your Grandma again only she will be healthy AMEN GOD BLESS
I have so much respect for Shannon
When you look back at who was drafted ahead of him, you can see why he said "I'm better than him, him, etc." Here are all of the WRs drafted ahead of him in 1990:
Alexander Wright
Reggie Rembert
Mike Bellamy
Ricky Proehl
Walter Wilson
Ron Lewis
Fred Barnett
Greg McMurtry
Stacey Simmons
Jess Anderson
Tony Moss
Fred Jones
Chris Calloway
Jackie Harris
Reggie Thornton
Jeff Campbell
Lynn James
Charles Wilson
Calvin Williams
Terance Mathis
Tyrone Shavers
Tony Jones
Ronald Heard
Tim Stallworth
Nate Lewis
Fred Barnett and Terance Mathis each made 1 Pro Bowl. Mathis and Ricky Proehl each got over 8000 career yards, so not too bad for them.
Not to demean this show/video, to get a truer understanding of how far Shannon Sharpe has come from the humblest of circumstances, check out his interview on the All the Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson!
He also often spoke very fondly of his Brother and Grandmother on Undisputed on FS1 a job he still should have if not for the stubbornness of Skip Bayless.
He has an inspiring background coming from an abject poverty-stricken environment...
Best ending ever to an interview. Shannons tear stained suit…says it all! #muchlove
Mr. Shannon Sharpe is fascinating, talented and thoughtful among many other superlative. I love his new show with Ocho btw. Long Live Shannon Sharpe!
People don’t realize how great Sterling Sharpe was….he putting up these numbers next to Jerry Rice
Can watch this 100 times! Great story and storyteller! Huge fan of him.
This man is a great man
I am a fan of these interviews. Thoroughly enjoyable.
This episode and the Emmet Smith one show such legacy of grandparents and i loved that about them to know how priceless that is
Beautiful Tribute Shannon for Your Beautiful Grandmother..God's Blessings Darling's. 🤟💖🌟🍑

Have he written a memoir yet? I would read it.
Class, personality, talent, and wisdom God blessed you well.
Yes he needs a movie about his life!! Wonderful interview!!
