Salt Fish and Ackee (Made in America)

  • Admittedly, this is not the traditional salt fish and ackee recipe. That said, in the end, I have to say it was quite delicious and very close to the traditional recipe in terms if texture and taste. That is just a testament to how versatile this recipe can be.
    Living in the US, I didn't have access to fresh ackee so I used the "tin" ackee from Grace. It also was quite good. I heard reports that sometimes the tin ackee can be mushy, but the ackee in the tin I got was firm and held its shape when being cooked. See for yourself in the video.
