    This was fun and informative. I love how you pointed out standing at Caffe Gilli to enjoy your coffee. It does save money and time. Safe travels.

    Thank you so much for this video on solo travel to Florence. I will be stepping out for my first solo trip (also to Florence) this summer and my biggest concern are the eating out alone and personal safety. You touched on both and gave some great tips. I think the food tour would be a great way to eat out and not be so conspicuously on your own.

    Excellent video! Thanx so much for brining back so many beautiful memories! Panini Toscani was our favorite too! Edoardo was amongst the best gelato shops too. We also adored La Strega Nocciola near Ponte Vecchio, on the Oltrarno side. Again, thank you for this awesome video Emily. Greetings from Greece, Mirella and Panos!
    PS: the walnut panino is so amazing!!!

    I've been following you since Florence, I actually studied abroad there too in 2019! I miss it so much, I felt like I was going down memory lane with you! And Osteria Santo Spirito is the best, I lived right around the corner, literally across the street from Gusta Pizza. Their gnocchi is incredible!

    I'm going to Florence on Monday. Whats a better view from the top the Bell Tower or the Duomo? Cant decide which one to climb.

    • @emily_meadows
      @emily_meadows  Před rokem

      Sorry for the late response! I’d recommend the bell tower so you have a view of the Duomo, but I’m sure both are great!

      Actually, not really :( it was still good, but I think it was missing something. I feel like it was supposed to have raisins or dried cranberries.

    Question: what is the way to travel in Florence? Like, in Paris, everyone uses the subway. What about in Florence? It's waaay to big to walk all around the city....

    • @emily_meadows
      @emily_meadows  Před rokem

      There’s a tram from the airport to the city center and some people take taxis, Vespas, or bikes. However, the city is very walkable. The main areas where most tourist attractions are are pretty compact even if the city itself is more spread out. Hope that helps!

    How do you get from the train station to your accommodation?

    • @emily_meadows
      @emily_meadows  Před rokem +1

      I walked! Florence is really compact, so it was only a 15 minute walk.

    How was the language barrier there if you cant speak Italian. I can only speak Spanish 😂

    • @emily_meadows
      @emily_meadows  Před 10 měsíci

      Almost everyone in Florence also speaks English, so it was easy for me to communicate. I’m not sure about Spanish though.
