That's not how it works. It doesn't matter what your diagnoses and medication it's about how it restricts your basic functions. Doctors will say that they cannot comment on daily restrictions because they don't witness it.
I followed your step by step on mental health PIP form filling, for my son, and the the rest of your video's, to help me, help my son. After a long wait, my son was granted PIP!!! This is due to you Charlie, I can't thank you enough, for your straightforward, down to earth, real video's that you make, so please add my son, to your score of winning PIP, you really are VERY good at PIP!! You said in a video about how you could have a video chat etc for the assessment, well i said to them, it would not be in my son's best interest to meet in person etc expecting them to video chat, but for some miracle, they decided not to have an assessment at all, and just awarded my son, a medical person called me instead and i just answered a few questions about him. Thanks so much Charlie, keep doing what you do, there are lots of us out there, that need your video's 💖

I can't thank you enough Charlie. I made an application for PIP 3 years ago, by myself, and got rejected. I gave up instantly. I spiralled into self blame and deep depression. However, my physical condition has deteriorated enormously so I watched your guides, gained a better understanding of what I did wrong, made a new application. I was scared. I prepared myself for rejection again. But....thanks to you...I now have enhanced on both. Oh my god! Yes I feel cheated as obviously I should have been granted years ago, but I had no idea how to do it properly. You put me on the right track. THANK YOU. This is entirely down to your guidance. I actually won my pip tribunal 9 years ago and now I'm on the 'light touch" .. However, my son is really struggling with pip assessments.. He had 2 last year. The 1st one was well over 2 hours long and, amazingly, they could find no trace of that assessment ( thank god I was with him at the time and was able to back him up as a witness) they were very sorry and arranged another assessment .. the 2nd assessment was about 20 minutes long and as a result he received no points whatsoever! I'm trying to get him to apply again but he doesn't want to go through it all again. Pip have really broken his spirit. I'm angry and I just want what he is entitled to. Thank God I've found you Charlie!! You are going to be just the tonic he needs💥
When you're helping people for free, Charlie, please do count the wins. Keep track of the messages as they come in and add them up. And given that many people can't afford to pay you, perhaps there is another model where people could donate or perhaps there is a Pay From The Heart or Pay What You Can option you could offer people. I know you've got your CZcams channel but there must be some other way. I am about to go through the WCA assessment for the THIRD time and will be using your videos to prepare. If I come into any money, you will be the first on the list to receive a donation. You are valuable. Each time they have deemed me fit for full time work and not limited it to solely online. My brain lasts about an hour, tops, in conversations due to brain fog and and I often feel completely confused after five minutes of walking or activity. I got tripped up during the assessment, MR was well detailed following your advice along with new medical evidence to confirm diagnosis, made sure to get notes from the case managers reviewing it and they stated it was irrelevant so off to tribunals I go.

I have cluster headache i treat them with high flow oxygen and injections. Its the most painful medical condition know to mankind and extremely debilitating. In 2019 i was part of cuel when there moved from dla to pip. i got a absolute dragon of a assessor who scored me zero on everything. My partner and i are very good at the forms and help other people. This assessor took a instant dislike to me. We reported her to the nursing and midwifery council and while she was under investigation she couldn't work. At my appeal the judge said we would of given you 52 points but you only need 12 to get high high. Don't let these assessor's get away with it, it took 18 months to get a appeal date it was a extremely difficult time for us. If it happens again i will bring a court case against the assessor for damages
I have bi polar, severe depression and agoraphobia amongst other things. I've gone through the process, I had so many anxiety and panic attacks. My husband filled out the form, but I had to do the telephone interview, lordy I got so muddled and confused, I wasn't given a single point, and i found the write up offensive and rude. After watching a few of your videos im considering either an appeal or just doing it again. Thank you for doing the videos x
Why did you have to do the interview by phone if you suffer from anxiety etc? I have all that you suffer from and my mum was allowed to speak on my behalf. She also filled the form on my behalf. Yes, you're right, they are so rude and arrogant. It gets your blood boiling. Anyway, I am so sorry you didn't get it. But if you're going to try again, please make sure it's asap.

I was on middle rate , then got assessment in house she marked me down for making Halloween bags that was sat beside ne from days of worked . I was on my own she lied it was so scary . I suffer from depression, osteoarthritis, boughts of staying in hospital every few nonths with sickness and the runs . Bladder and bowel problems you know the o es . Had a stroke years ago . Migraine back pain knee just blaghh . My son is down as carer now as he is in the house . I sent form away after watching videos . And breaking it all down hope that its a good outcome as i went from esa and desided to try and work . Long story short i couldn't manage now on UC and its awful. Debt more depression. Take you time, take your time,take your time.Get as much supporting information as possible, get your consultant, doctor and nurse onboard with you. Recently been awarded higher rate for both parts. Took me about a month from start to finish,but you get it backdated to the day you submit part one. I can't thank Charlie enough.
Absolutely agree Thank you so much I studied you and how to fill in the form and go into detail of exactly how my illnesses affect me, also asked for a telephone assessment studied and wrote points down and all other papers prescriptions list etc I am really proud of myself because I was awarded enhanced PIP for both .. so thank you thank you I wouldn't have done it without your help. It will be 8years in May that I went down with CFS/ME I still don’t understand the illness.I had PIP for 4years now but next year I will have an assessment which I’m dreading.Yes I am better but I can only do things twice a week with two or three days rest in between.I find your blog’s very helpful.👍
What caused this madness well every News article you see pop up says you can claim PIP for stupid conditions and now the genuine disabled and mentally unwell will get the blunt of it once again remember they can reset the benefit system allowances but not take them away, for example they can deduct a large percentage if they wanted to because 2.6 million people of working age now receiving PIP with monthly new claims almost doubling since 2019 and it's expected to reach 100 billion pounds soon the UK cannot carry on like this anymore needs to be a real protection in place for people
I had my PIP assessment with Capita o 30th April. I got my decision today. I went from both Enhanced Care and mobility to now no care and low mobility. And I think I only got that because the hospital recently gave me a leg splint and walking frame. On reading the assessor's report I find that she basically lied bare-faced about everything, including all my answers. My daughter, who was with me, covertly recorded the assessment but someone called her so only got the first 10 minutes. However, on listening, it shows several of her lies. Can I do anything with this recording?
I have to admit at the moment I’m not coping very well because of all the stress caused by the prime minister I am very chronically ill & disabled & I am absolutely terrified that my benefits will be stopped & things like vouchers are useless to me they won’t pay my bills or anything I need. I think that if my PIP gets stopped it will cause me to end my life that’s how bad things for me are

I've just been awarded both on enhanced from tribunal for 5 yrs. From getting full zeros on initial application And MR. Do Not Give Up! And thanks a million Charlie, your advice was invaluable...🙂
The crazy thing is you can work what ever hours you can and get PIP. You can earn £167 a week and get ESA. If looking for work & applied for JSA, as soon as you earn more than 8 hours minimum wage you get zero. If you can only get occassional temp work, or zero hours contract, because of being chronically ill & / or lots of hosp appointments, you have no chance, you'll.spend ALL you time applying for benefits and waiting on them. You'll just never get anything, & the bills will still keep coming in. I can see a total overhaul coming, it may sound good, but ultimately it will be worse. The upcoming GE, the giv will do Everything possible to stop everyone claiming anyhing, as it will look better for them. ie looks like low unemployment, low numbers of ppl on long term sick etc.
Thank you I was getting the high rated but they dropped it well firstly they stopped it I then got a letter saying they should not have stopped it now I get the low rate but I think I will have to go for the high level ones again thank you for doing what you do
What is your opinion on what sunak has said recently regarding culling i mean reforming disability benefits? I can tell its going to be like when they switched from dla to pip most people will lose pip and have to reclaim
Thank you Charlie you have helped me stay calm through filling out this horrible form, it does stress us out! One thing I have learned is the didn't speak to my doctor, in fact the doctor said even though they are given permission they don't bother asking as it's not in their best interest to get this info. I've won my other assessments but the last one I had to have two tribunals, before I won at the highest rate in 2020, now another new claim.
Charlie firstly thank you for everything you do. Had review form last june 2023. Out of blue when having a bad day pip phoned asking questions. I was very confused (worked all my life from leaving school until couldn't anymore) severe mental health. She said needed more information but i was ranting. To be honest dont care if they fuck me off but why phone me out of the blue? Find it all wierd. Im genuine REALLY genuine. My head hurts. Edit apart from text not heard anything regarding my review since last june.

im autistic and i live in communal flats, this leads to me being down, but not depressed. I went to two special schools. I have a bath every 4 to 5 days. I don't cook but live off ready meals. I have HIGH anxiety levels most of the time and worry about what people think all the time.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD and Borderline Personality disorder. I very rarely leave home because I can become violent around other people if I have an episode. I self harm and have required alot of stitches on past A&E visits. I am very worried about the new PIP "reforms" the government are introducing. Will a disorder like mine be targeted? I am also waiting to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder but am waiting for an appointment. I am so worried about this.
It would seem everyone claiming PIP will be targeted. The next year is going to be very worrying indeed. Our only hope is if Labour doesn't continue with the Tories proposals. If they do, we're all fkd.
Hi, I just wanted to know if you're in the process of getting diagnosed can you apply for PIP? I might have IBD and it's affected how much I can work and just being in pain 24/7.
A waste of time trying to claim PIP if there's a chance they will force claimants into respite and take away all their PIP money. 😮🤬😭 There's also the chance they will make you see their "health/therapy" people on a regular basis who, I bet, are not even qualified!!! So I ask all of you: What's the point in trying to claim PIP now? Just make sure you make a claim this year just in case all these new rules come into practice next year.
@@muppetsshowupatspeakerscor579 Yes, that's true, but no doubt Labour will continue with the proposals with the odd minimal tweak here and there. You have to remember that Labour are equally as tough as the Tories when it comes to this. That is why I say to everyone: try and make your claim for PIP sooner rather than later.
I'm currently waiting on a review decision and I'm absolutely terrified, I know they will want another assessment as extra medical problems have occurred, even with having more problem's I'm still so worried, I have epilepsy despite lots of medication I still have seizures, now I have motor sensory neuropathy and I have to use a walking stick to walk because of balance issues, does that class as an aid, I wish I had found your channel before filling out my review form as I would of got in touch with you, if I need to do a mandatory reconsideration I will contact you, thank you for all your advice on here
I believe a walking stick is an aid. Don't worry about that too much because it comes down to the distance you can walk with or without an aid. I think the limit is 20 metres to 50 meters. Hopefully, you'll get a positive result. However, if necessary make sure you do the mandatory appeal if they turn you down. And contact Charlie at the time. All the best 👍💯🌟💚

I had a pip assessment over the phone last week and the person assessing me said i had scored enough points on the incontinence section and didnt need to ask me anymore questions about my muscoskeletal problems, but this week i got another appoinment for a telephone consultation, i'm worried why i have another, do you have any idea why ?...the assessore seems pretty sure i had passed but i've never had an assessment go so well, should i be worried ?.
If I dont get PIP..I'm going to live of the land in the forest ..I might do that anyway cos I hate the system and society even though it's got everything its like a Prison , I can't wait to get the fk out the place.

Absolutely agree Thank you so much I studied you and how to fill in the form and go into detail of exactly how my illnesses affect me, also asked for a telephone assessment studied and wrote points down and all other papers prescriptions list etc I am really proud of myself because I was awarded enhanced PIP for both .. so thank you thank you I wouldn't have done it without your help. So now I am excited to look for a new car 😊

It will be 8years in May that I went down with CFS/ME I still don’t understand the illness.I had PIP for 4years now but next year I will have an assessment which I’m dreading.Yes I am better but I can only do things twice a week with two or three days rest in between.I find your blog’s very helpful.👍
What caused this madness well every News article you see pop up says you can claim PIP for stupid conditions and now the genuine disabled and mentally unwell will get the blunt of it once again remember they can reset the benefit system allowances but not take them away, for example they can deduct a large percentage if they wanted to because 2.6 million people of working age now receiving PIP with monthly new claims almost doubling since 2019 and it's expected to reach 100 billion pounds soon the UK cannot carry on like this anymore needs to be a real protection in place for people

I had my PIP assessment with Capita o 30th April. I got my decision today. I went from both Enhanced Care and mobility to now no care and low mobility. And I think I only got that because the hospital recently gave me a leg splint and walking frame. On reading the assessor's report I find that she basically lied bare-faced about everything, including all my answers. My daughter, who was with me, covertly recorded the assessment but someone called her so only got the first 10 minutes. However, on listening, it shows several of her lies. Can I do anything with this recording?
I have to admit at the moment I’m not coping very well because of all the stress caused by the prime minister I am very chronically ill & disabled & I am absolutely terrified that my benefits will be stopped & things like vouchers are useless to me they won’t pay my bills or anything I need. I think that if my PIP gets stopped it will cause me to end my life that’s how bad things for me are

How long did you have to wait for a tribunal?
The crazy thing is you can work what ever hours you can and get PIP. You can earn £167 a week and get ESA. If looking for work & applied for JSA, as soon as you earn more than 8 hours minimum wage you get zero. If you can only get occassional temp work, or zero hours contract, because of being chronically ill & / or lots of hosp appointments, you have no chance, you'll.spend ALL you time applying for benefits and waiting on them. You'll just never get anything, & the bills will still keep coming in.
I can see a total overhaul coming, it may sound good, but ultimately it will be worse. The upcoming GE, the giv will do Everything possible to stop everyone claiming anyhing, as it will look better for them. ie looks like low unemployment, low numbers of ppl on long term sick etc.

Thank you Charlie you have helped me stay calm through filling out this horrible form, it does stress us out! One thing I have learned is the didn't speak to my doctor, in fact the doctor said even though they are given permission they don't bother asking as it's not in their best interest to get this info. I've won my other assessments but the last one I had to have two tribunals, before I won at the highest rate in 2020, now another new claim.
Charlie firstly thank you for everything you do. Had review form last june 2023. Out of blue when having a bad day pip phoned asking questions. I was very confused (worked all my life from leaving school until couldn't anymore) severe mental health. She said needed more information but i was ranting. To be honest dont care if they fuck me off but why phone me out of the blue? Find it all wierd. Im genuine REALLY genuine. My head hurts. Edit apart from text not heard anything regarding my review since last june.

im autistic and i live in communal flats, this leads to me being down, but not depressed. I went to two special schools. I have a bath every 4 to 5 days. I don't cook but live off ready meals. I have HIGH anxiety levels most of the time and worry about what people think all the time.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD and Borderline Personality disorder. I very rarely leave home because I can become violent around other people if I have an episode. I self harm and have required alot of stitches on past A&E visits. I am very worried about the new PIP "reforms" the government are introducing. Will a disorder like mine be targeted? I am also waiting to be diagnosed with bipolar disorder but am waiting for an appointment.

It would seem everyone claiming PIP will be targeted. The next year is going to be very worrying indeed. Our only hope is if Labour doesn't continue with the Tories proposals. If they do, we're all fkd.

Hi, I just wanted to know if you're in the process of getting diagnosed can you apply for PIP? I might have IBD and it's affected how much I can work and just being in pain 24/7.
A waste of time trying to claim PIP if there's a chance they will force claimants into respite and take away all their PIP money. 😮🤬😭
There's also the chance they will make you see their "health/therapy" people on a regular basis who, I bet, are not even qualified!!! So I ask all of you: What's the point in trying to claim PIP now?
Just make sure you make a claim this year just in case all these new rules come into practice next year.

You have to remember that Labour are equally as tough as the Tories when it comes to this. That is why I say to everyone: try and make your claim for PIP sooner rather than later.
I'm currently waiting on a review decision and I'm absolutely terrified, I know they will want another assessment as extra medical problems have occurred, even with having more problem's I'm still so worried, I have epilepsy despite lots of medication I still have seizures, now I have motor sensory neuropathy and I have to use a walking stick to walk because of balance issues, does that class as an aid, I wish I had found your channel before filling out my review form as I would of got in touch with you, if I need to do a mandatory reconsideration I will contact you, thank you for all your advice on here
I believe a walking stick is an aid. Don't worry about that too much because it comes down to the distance you can walk with or without an aid. I think the limit is 20 metres to 50 meters. Hopefully, you'll get a positive result. However, if necessary make sure you do the mandatory appeal if they turn you down. And contact Charlie at the time. All the best 👍💯🌟💚

I had a pip assessment over the phone last week and the person assessing me said i had scored enough points on the incontinence section and didnt need to ask me anymore questions about my muscoskeletal problems, but this week i got another appoinment for a telephone consultation, i'm worried why i have another, do you have any idea why ?...the assessore seems pretty sure i had passed but i've never had an assessment go so well, should i be worried ?.
